The location is amazing. We were able to walk down to the beach the evening we arrived, and before leaving the next day enjoyed the nature trails. I can't imagine how they must look in another season. The Thai food was excellent in the restaurant as well.
There was a smell like natural gas that was throughout the building. I think it must be from the kitchen, but it was noticeable.

We were travelling around Kerry during a very rainy week in July and stayed at the Kells Bay House and Gardens for 2 nights. The place is a real gem . The staff were very friendly and helpful, we enjoyed a lovely evening meal and 2 excellent breakfasts. The secluded location of the house set within beautiful lush gardens added to a very relaxing atmosphere. We especially loved the gardens and the subtropical species, which looked splendid even in the rain! A short walk to a local beach was also an added bonus.
We thought it was a pity that the first floor landing carpet appeared to have been damaged by muddy boots/shoes. Perhaps change to stripped wooden floors or have boot rack near entrance door . However we would emphasise this is a minor issue and did not detract from our overall excellent experience.

Private bath did not mean en-suite. This was kind of a bait and switch. Also we ordered breakfast after being told a hot meal was included in our room, yet at check out was informed hot breakfast was not included.

It was okay... The staff was friendly and the food was good.
The carpets were stained and dirty and the wood, tile floors were sticky.

Great staff, delicious breakfast, gorgeous location with free access to the gardens, access to water/beach, private and quiet surroundings, beautifully decorated. Great food options throughout the day and evening in the Thai restaurant. Bed was very comfortable.
We were unlucky as the guests staying in the suite above us didn’t respect quiet times, and you could hear them walking/talking until very late. Also Wifi didn’t work in our room, but it did everywhere else, this seemed to be a recent issue. We discussed these 2 things with staff and they were very understanding and took note to try and fix it.

It was hard to time the breakfast around the sittings as all too late for us-starting at 9..butAisling was amazing to help us out with our last breakfast which made a lot of difference. She was amazing, extremely diligent and did the job of ten.The location with beach and gardens were spectacular
Buffet breakfast from 7.30/8 would be fantastic.
Hard to contact and gain info about the surrounding areas and available transport before the trip.
Garden room bit cold and gloomy.

We had a lovely stay in the 2 bedroom studio to break our journey around the ring of Kerry. We enjoyed a lovely evening meal, and the breakfast and walked around the gardens and to the beach in the morning.

Our best hotel experience in Ireland! The place is exceptional, the huge gardens offer breathtaking views. The accommodation is carefully designed, the room elegant and comfortable. We were very well received and looked after. The Thai restaurant with its intimate setting is excellent, everything is homemade. The breakfast is also copious and qualitative. Ideal destination for a couple (but also for family with children). Thank you for this moment, we will return with pleasure!

Amazing house and gardens. The view from the bedroom was even better than on the picture. The bedroom was very comfortable.
The garden was way bigger than imagined, it was a fantastic jungle to explore.
The location was right on the Ring of Kerry, 15 mins away drive from towns and supermarkets.
We got a map from the receptionist for the garden, but no prior warning that some paths in the garden/jungle were unaccessible because of ongoing works or fallen tree, we had to turn around a few times.
It rained a lot so the running water was yellow...
The private bathroom is actually accessible by the corridor it lacked a bit of privacy.
The noises from the bedrooms are not really concealed, so you can hear a bit everything from the corridor.
More personnaly it was our anniversary and we got no mention of it. Also, we got quite pressed to pay our room when we arrived quite late in the evening and the morning after as we were looking for a map for the garden, the same woman first words was to tell us to pay... It took her few seconds to recognize us and apologies even though we were the only customers so far for the weekend...

We stayed in Kells Bay House for our honeymoon and loved every minute. Our room overlooking the bay was absolutely beautiful and we loved exploring their beautiful gardens and beach. Dinner in their Thai restaurant was delicious.
The location is a little remote but is perfect for a quiet getaway and exploring their beautiful gardens and the local landscape.
