The location on the marina was tremendous. Close walking distance to casual bars and restaurants if you like pub food.
The noise from the hoon cars directly outside our window. Burnouts and crowds! Apparently this is common most nights. Called the police but nothing happened. Very uncomfortable and constantly noisy every night. Perhaps a room facing the water might be better. Too far from town centre so taxi/Ubers are needed ($15-20) each way.
Mould in the shower could be cleaned up a little better.

The room was very clean neat and well presented.
The bed was very comfortable with a large bathroom.
Great restaurant close by and a pleasant walk along the walkway overlooking all the harbour.

Great location on the waterfront/marina. Helpful staff and good views over the marina. Short walk to the sailings club and local pub and fish shop.
In house restaurant serves a good breakfast.
Premises a bit old and dated. Was 4-star hotel when built 20 years ago but is now in need of a renovation.

Not much but breakfast and staff in restaurant were very good.
Room was musty and felt not clean. No car parking due noisy wedding.

We had our wedding just up the road Kerry who was our point of contact was amazing he looked us so very well 😀 . Absolutely made our stay fantastic 😀.

We really loved the restaurant including breakfast and dinner, when we were able to access..(due to closure over Christmas) The meals were wonderful and we wished we could have attended more often.
We were so disappointed when we expected at least one restaurant in the Marina precinct would be open some of the time, but nothing was open at all Christmas Day or Boxing day).

Checking out and staff member threatened to call the Police on me without giving me chance to understand why we hadn't been charged initially for our room when we checked in. Disgusting customer service!

Good location. Breakfast was very good and staff were lovely.
It was our wedding anniversary so splurged for a great room. Turns out the airconditioning didn't work. So we had to change rooms and were then put into a small basic room. Staff did the best they could but if we wanted a basic room, we would have booked somewhere else.

Always great to stay at a Mantra, there's a consistency you learn to expect and the Mantra Mackay was no exception.
Some kitchen equipment was not cleaned properly.
