Excellent place to stay in Kathmandu

The staff service team Karuma and Buddha and the other guys were awesome. Good breakfast The location is 10 /10. Felt safe at all times. Will come back and stay there.

Too much noise from other guests during the night. Will recommend better products for shower.

It was a convenient, clean, and affordable hotel, with an incredible staff!

The Thamel Grand Hotel was in a great location. The rooms looked just as they were advertised. I really feel like a got a great deal. However, the best part was the staff. They were incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful. They made me feel welcomed 100 percent!

My main complaint was that the Wi-Fi would sometimes not be working, but overall it was functioning. Also, I thought it was a strange that I had to request toilet paper for my room. Luckily I had some on me, and there was an information paper on my desk that told me to request it. However, what is there was an emergency?!

Great value hotel with very friendly staff

Incredibly friendly, helpful and generous staff. They let us store our luggage for a whole day for free. They prepared a breakfast pack since we had an early flight. Buddha did a research so we could have the best deal for a panoramic flight, without charging commission.... Coming back here for the third time gave us the opportunity to meet the real people behind the uniforms. Buddha, Karuna, Rupak are wonderful people, always worried about their guests and willing to help and give the best service. We are incredibly thankful, also to all the staff at the black olives. It is a great value hotel, very central, clean wide rooms ran by wonderful people. Thank you for everything! We wish you all the best!

Great value hotel in Thamel

I could see the improvement from the last time. They listened to our suggestions and made sure everything was perfect this time. The staff could not be any friendlier or more helpful. Wonderful hotel ran by fantastic staff in perfect location.

Best Value For Money.

Parking, Peace, Accessible Easily. Reyan Bhai- Awesome hospitality care. Morning Front Desk - Caring and politeness Was awesome. I requested for late checkout as my meeting was delayed, She did took care of that. Thank you

A little additional amenities like Brushes and toothpastes would have made just great. Mattress needed to be Changed of the room i stayed. (I Prefer Proper Spring).

Amazing place in the heart of Thamel

We stayed here again after enjoying the hotel the first time. We just loved the staff and always felt welcome and well taken care of. The rooms are also very spacious and modern for the price. The location puts you in the heart of Thamel with fantastic restaurants nearby including the Black Olive Cafe which is the hotel restaurant.

I will give 10 star rating to this hotel for my stay. The best thing in the hotel was their hospitality, their are friendly staffs and the breakfast. The room shower very clean, fast Wi-Fi, and spacious bathroom. The budget Hotel in Kathmandu Thamel, I will book again for my next trip to Ktm.

My stay was brilliant it was very pleasant in Thamel Grand Hotel, all thanks to their welcoming and polite staffs. They came to the airport to pick me up personally and didn't hesitate to wait as my luggage got delayed. thanks for that !!! The rooms were spacious with an attached balcony, they helped me with everything I needed there was No issue with hot water and the amenities. The breakfast was delicious! also they have a nice garden which is also attached to restaurant Black Olives cafe. My next trip to Nepal will be in 2024 and I will choose the same hotel again. Thank you very much for having me and for the hospitality.

wonderful stay.

This was my first visit to Nepal, and I selected this hotel randomly which was a very good choice of mine. The hotel was amazing the rooms are very clean and comfortable on top of that the stuffs were very polite and ready to help with anything anytime. The wonderful breakfast and dinner served by the cafe, Black Olives Cafe, in the hotel was amazing, especially the breakfast was heavy and made me energetic entire day. I fully enjoyed my stay here and will come back again next year.

My trip to Kathmandu wouldn't be pleasant and mind-blowing if I hadn't check in to Thamel Grand Hotel. The staffs are very good, polite and well mannered. They helped me to arrange ticket from Kathmandu to mustang trip and explain me all the details. The breakfast in Black Olives was very healthy and yummy. I had an amazing experience and made really good friends with the staffs. everything gave me a very homely feeling. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. I would definitely choose this hotel again and again.

staying at the luxurious hotel doesn’t have to be expensive!

My friend from overseas recommended me this hotel. The checking process was quick and easy. Staffs greeted me very well with an welcome drink. They were very respectful and the check in process was instant.I enjoyed my stay in the room 201 with a balcony, the bathroom was spacious, clean tidy. The beds were very comfortable, And they didn't mind me adding one more friend. The morning breakfast at Black Olives Cafe was delightful and the garden view in the restaurant was just amazing. I will recommend this hotel to others as well.

I keep coming back

Amazing, friendly & helpful staff. The facilities are more than adequate. Hot water all day long. Trust me, in winter, hot water is crucial 😄. There's a cozy restaurant connected to the hotel with awesome food & drinks. There's a reason why I stay there everytime I'm in Nepal & I've never been disappointed. Keep it up guys. Cheers!

Great for a fuss free stay.

The entire check in and check out process was fast smooth and seamless. Fuss free room and setup.

Breakfast could have been better. Maybe a buffet style breakfast like the nearby hotels would help greatly.

Amazing stay at this cosy and well located Hotel

I enjoyed everything about this place, one of the owner and the whole staff was extremely helpful with my needs and also for great insights on what to discover around Thamel and Kathmandu. The breakfast is great and the Black Olives Cafe is super chill to hang out and eat. They were flexible, polite and nice and always open to converse with me to get to know the area better. Loved the place and would recommand it anytime !
