Incredibly clean place. Beautiful design and elegant interiors that match well. Perfect location, great breakfast, friendly staff and unlimited water, snacks and coffee
The toilet room was very small :-)

Good service attitude and clean environment.
The pillow is uncomfortable 😂 (purely personal)

We loved the hotel. We went for the pool on the roof, but we loved almost everything. Our daughter loved the mascot.
The parking situation is terrible. They should have some sort of shuttle from the other lot or scooters people can use to just drive back and forth from the hotel to the parking lot.

the lobby with higher cellars reveals the splendid and fashionable decoration.
the gym basically could not be identified as the gym which should include dumbbells.

The tea body care, tea bath and bath tub.

Tea spa was sensational!
The bed is too short, feet left hanging, and no extra pillow on the bed to provide back support

the design. Orchid flowers at every corner. The watering of the plant wall at the lobby. Tub with view.
It would be good to have baby steam sterilizer in the room. Water dispenser could be set at each floor.

I liked many things about this hotel but there is a lot of room for improvement.
The front desk staff did not speak any English, so if you don't speak Chinese, that may be a challenge. They gave me a covid-related form to fill out, also all in Chinese-- I speak Chinese, but I can't read well and I would hope that a hotel would have some important forms like this in English (you're in the hospitality industry). Things like this are why I have little hope that Taiwan will be a "bilingual nation by 2030."
That being said, the staff in the restaurant and up at the pool were very helpful and kind. Now, when I went the gym was closed all 3 days I was there, which was a huge disappointment, because I had planned to use their gym during my stay, and I wish they'd shared that information somehow. It is a disappointment when you choose a hotel based on its facilities, and then they're not available. The spa was also closed, but this was announced and known, so that was fine.
The pool is beautiful but it's only open for limited hours; 7-11 and then 3-6. The whole reason I booked this hotel was to spend the day by the pool, and then it's closed for most of the day (the afternoon in the sun is probably the best time to use the pool, but maybe not for Taiwanese). The view is also quite ugly (which obviously is not the hotel's fault, but the photos I saw that advertised this hotel and its pool do not accurately represent the real-life optics). Also, I had brought a small snack to eat and they told me “you can’t eat here.” But you have a bar that serves drinks and I can’t eat a granola bar? I didn’t lay out a full picnic or anything, but it’s arbitrary rules like this that can impact ones enjoyment.
The nicest part of the room is definitely the bathtub and the shower. The toiletries are really luxurious and the bathtub is big and great for soaking.
The breakfast was average. Beautifully presented, but mostly seafood and Taiwanese-style, not many options. You can choose between rice or noodles-- not ideal for western travelers, but it was edible. I would not pay extra for it.
The rooms are very small. Great amenities in the rooms, but considering this is a "newish" hotel, there was already a LOT of wear and tear and damage to the walls of my room. There is mold in the shower. The bed is super uncomfortable-- way too hard, and consists of 2 twin beds pushed together to make 1 bed, so if you're a solo traveler, you can't really lie in the middle and sprawl out.
The TV was disappointing; as someone else mentioned, they don't have Netflix or other options that fancy hotels usually have nowadays (the TV remote has a "Netflix" button but it doesn't work when you press it).
The AC also would not let me adjust the fan settings, so I felt hot all night while sleeping; you can adjust the temperature, but no matter how low you set it, it won't go below a certain temperature.

View of swimming pool is pretty nice. Friendly staff.
Surprisingly a disappointing view from the room when there’s french window by a big bathtub.
Breakfast service was delayed with very fair quality.

Breakfast well
5F corridor smells of smoke.

Chiayi doesn’t offer so many options of this level: modern, confortable, nice in design, and personnel. The large tubs with tea-scented perfume are confortable enough for two. Too bad it was a bit cold to enjoy the outdoor roof pool, but we’ll definitely be back if we stay in Chiayi again!
