The location is excellent and the garden is beautiful.
This is a fun, party surf house, and everyone was so nice. However, the kitchen is quite small for the amount of people staying. Most of the time time the kitchen was so dirty and overflowing with dirty dishes we didn’t feel comfortable preparing food there. Overall a great place to stay if you don’t cook, or don’t mind cooking in a dirty kitchen.
The parking lot is also shared with the restaurant next door and some nights we had a hard time finding parking.

Great location, near to Coxos beach. If the waves are not coming, it is a great place for walks along the cliff or in rural areas. If you want to do to the dowtown by walking, you ´ll have a 50 minutos trip.
The place is ideal for the once who loves surf lifestyle.

The backyards was very nice, very comfortable beds and rooms. It was pretty cheap. The cozy little village of Ribamar.
The bathrooms were not clean - especially not the showers. The lack of staff - it seemed very unorganized. The kitchen was very small and no one cleaned up after themselves - again the lack of staff to help making it a nice place to be.

The rooms are fine, with comfy beds.
The location is not that good, far away from the city. There's a road right in front of the dormroom, a lot of noise at night. The bathrooms were not cleaned once while I was there. I would not recommend this hostel.

,Everything about the hostel was amazing, Awesome staff very helpful, kind, nice and friendly, facilities, accessibilitys to the beaches and to Ericeira.
The backyard is amazing to chill out during evenings.
A few things can be improved such as the extension of the wifi signal on all the property, unfortunately in the backyard I wasn't able to catch the wifi signal.

I've been in Republica for two weeks, and it was a great experience, near the beach, clean hostel, with nice garden and a nice staff. A very good option for long stays.

The hostel was so perfect. The stuff, other guests, place, we loved everything and really enjoyed our stay there. I would like to recommend this place to everyone!

Decent room, a bit plain but spacious and enough room for luggage. Location was ok, we did rent a scooter to make it easier to get around - i would highly recommend this as the house is a bit far from ericeira. At 70 EUR per night i did think it was a tad expensive for the location, but the vibes were definitely good. you can easily organize surf lessons from here at 40 EUR per lesson, closest beach is beautiful and about 15-20 minutes by foot.
check in was a bit messy, we got another room than we initially booked but the price was compensated. Also communication before arriving could be better, no one replied to my messages

Honestly, surprised how this place got so many great reviews. Everything was super basic, very noisy at night, overall overpriced for what is had to offer.
