Location to the historic center of Cuenca was excellent
Took a really long time to get some warm water from the shower and the pressure was very low

Great location
Saw a cockroach in the bathroom. Rooms were way too hot. Zero soundproofing. Was woken up by people at 2am and again at 4am coming back.

The hotel is located right in the city center of Cuenca. The staff is very kind and willing to provide tourist information. the room is clean and breakfast is good. The hotel is built in an Old Cuenca house, very beautiful. well maintained and good facilities.
All was good. Mind that you are in the middle of Cuenca. during the day can be noisy, but during the evening is quiet enough for sleeping.

The staff were very helpful giving directions and advice on places to go, where the markets are etc etc. Also helped me change rooms when my spouse arrived. All the staff were friendly. Jamie, who was at the front desk was especially helpful.
It was fine but a bit more variety of breakfast food.

The hotel is located at the heart of the historical centre of Cuenca and we really liked the comfortable, cozy rooms. In addition, the staff of the hotel was very nice. After check-in we asked to change the room because it didn‘t had any windows, which was no problem. After check-out we were allowed to leave our luggages at the hotel and while we were waiting for the night bus, the staff offered us tee and coffee for free.

This hotel is very noisy most evenings and mornings the noise level was unexceptional. The breakfast was small and unappealing, the same every day

The bed was poorly made, the sheet came off right away. Only one towel and no glass in the bathroom.

Great location, charming building, friendly staff
Lots of noise from street, beds and floorboards extremely squeaky (wakes up the rest of the room when going to the bathroom at night)

Great location, knowledgeable staff about where to eat, visit, and always eager to help.
We needed to wash our clothes and they did it for us for a very, very reasonable fee.

The receptionists are very hepfull , although some of them don´t speak English. I asked for early breakfast , no problem. The location is in the centre of Cuenca. Genius loci !!! The old tradicional building .
My room had no outside window ( the window is possible to open only to the lounge. )

the location was superb. loved the Spanish style of the hotel. staff was really nice and accommodating. room was spacious.
the squeaky floors and they should invest in a new hair dryer.

The staff at Hotel Orquidea are exceptional and some have exceptional English language skills. Security is very good. My room was spacious and comfortable. The location is perfect, less than 2 blocks from the historic center of town and close to shops, cafes and restaurants.
