Fantastic stay at this lovely clean guest house
We had use of the fully fitted kitchen & dining area plus the marvellous roof terrace
The location was terrific right in the old town near bars & restaurants

Great location and lovely staff. The space was perfect for a night in Tarifa. The shared space is small though functional, with a tiny kitchen and a table for meals.
I enjoyed the co-working space very much, fast broadband and comfy chairs. There's also a booth, to book separately, for remote meetings.
Guests came in the dorm talking loudly after midnight, eating crisps (or something equally noisy), and kept coming in and out of the dorm banging the door. I'm used to dorms and found this unusual. Just wish they'd have been more respectful though of course this isn't to do with the management, who were lovely and helpful.

It was an amazing stay. Especially Erick who is a member of the staff was so friendly. We had a lot fun together.

It was the best stay ever. Erick especially was super friendly and helped whenever I needed him. I absolutely recommend this accommodation

Big, bright rooms with comfortable beds. In the center of old town. In a quiet street but close to restaurants and bars. Rooftop with a view. Very social vibe. Plenty of bathrooms. The hostel also encourages you to join activities. I was able to take a (funny) course of "spanish for guiris" and dancing lessons (salsa + bachata).
Only a small kitchen. But I did not mind.

Big and comfy bed. Central location, nice house, stunning roof terrace
I booked a female dorm but ended with only men in my room. Next morning I was told that they don't have any female dorms.

Everything was very ok. In general the atmosphere was chilly and relaxed. Good wide beds. Heating worked, windows in room 👍.
If something then maybe the curtains in beds would make it even better.

the company, the vibe, price, terasse, internet speed
hard to enter your bed room without disturbing others, would need curtains around the beds, and nowhere ro store your luggage

Good location, clean and tidy
Can’t really get any fresh air as looks into an internal courtyard area

we had the double bed with private bathroom, had fridge, full bathroom, kitchen, double bed, comfy bed. would stay again.
woke up and no water in the place, apparently this happens for some reason it’s a village problem not the hostel.

on my second day at the property, as I returned from a day-long tour, I realized that they have given my bed to someone else.
That despite the fact that I had a valid reservation for the following day..
yes, they made a mistake…which I think show a some disregard for a hostel guest..
After a long day touring the area, the last think one wants to experience is to have to struggle to get a place where to bunk…

La Cocotera is a great place to stay and work. The rooms are comfortable and there are a range of spaces to hang out, including a lovely roof terrace.
There are a range of work spaces which can be booked out too, including work stations, meeting room and a small call room for private meetings. I even had an online job interview here.
But what really makes the place is the people it attracts. It has a really relaxed feel about it and everyone is very friendly. I arrived having injured my calf muscle and people were very kind, getting me ice packs and making me coffee.

Location is perfect. Also nice that theres an roofterrace and our room (kiwi) had a small balcony. So that was good!
I stayed before Some years ago. But this time it was really dissapointing. The lady at check in was very friendly, happy and helpfull. But The other girls were not hospitality minded at all. Not friendly or smily or talked really to us. The showers on 1st Floor were extremely hot. This is not only uncomforable But also not sustainable. When we mentioned it we were told to use the disable barhroom in ground floor, the temperature could not be adjusted. Also The A/C was leaking. We said this, But they only removed the water But did not do something about it. And last is The bed. The upperbed is just a thin matras on a hard underground. Not a proper matrass like the one down. Overall dissapointing, dont think Will come a 3rd time anymore.

Location.
Very dirty (bedside, sheets, pillow, bathroom...)
Quite old and unmaintained furniture. Coworking space is expensive and very dark.

Staff was amazing and the hostel was quite central.
Perhaps beds should have tents.
