I was not very happy staying here. Cheap, but I expected a bit more from the room

I liked the location. It is very central, but in a bit quieter area. The yard of the place is cute

My welcome was not great. A bit unclear and not very welcoming. The place is quite boxed in. I didn't pay much, but at least I expect it to be clean. But the room didn't feel clean and was really warm. The bed was almost a bit moist. You could open the windows, but there was no mosquito protection screen, so quite early I wanted to close the windows, but not much fresh air can come in. And I still had mosquitos. It says there is parking on the premises, but you can only park your car in the alley in front of the door. If you ask, you could maybe park in the garage, but it's not easy accessible.

Es mi segunda vez allí, la atención de Glenda y las otras mujeres del lugar. La ubicación, a 300 metros del ruido, en unos jardines selváticos que le dan un ambiente totalmente caribeño. Las cabinas son cómodas.

Nature-y, perfect location, good price

Loved the location and the ambience of the garden and that a fan was provided with the room

No instructions to get into and out of gate before arriving, was confusing until someone noticed out plight and came over. (For those staying here you reach inside the gate and turn the key knob and pull the other side of the gate open)

Nice stay

nice gardens with a lot of tropical plants, small balcony with hammock, a table and chairs. It’s nice to be able to use the commun kitchen too.

Superb

The location is amazing! . . . Perfectly situated with easy access to town and just the right distance away to be removed from the noise of the center. The open outdoor style layout is beautiful. I felt very safe and comfortable there. The bed was comfortable, as well, as it is the most important necessity of a hotel. All staff I encountered were pleasant and lovely. It's a great place to stay! I'll be happy to return again.

The toilet didn't have a lid and I had a room with a small shared bathroom. Therefore, I was worried about dropping personal things in the toilet when I would take a shower, which I luckily avoided. Lol ;)

Best place in the center of PV

Already my second stay. Love the garden and the private terrace every room has. You are in the center of Puerto Viejo, but its calm and quiet. Familiar atmosphere and very nice hosts. In my opinion, you can't find something better foe such a good price in this area.

Wifi could be a bit faster and more stable, but mostly it worked. Little more water pressure in the toilet and in my room also in the shower would be good.

Lovely rooms, semi-affordable

Lovely property, private room with little balcony & hammock. The kitchen was good too- had a stove with fridge, pots/pans, and coffee maker. Simple but efficient! Wifi worked great and the shower was perfect.

Mosquitos were relentless outside, so chilling on your porch/hammock was impossible for me. But that's not Caesar's fault.

We stayed extra nights

Ceasar our host was great very helpful and a great chef. Clean and secure property with regular maid service. Each room has private patio with hammock and gerally the property is very chilled. Good value for money and only 5 minute straight walk from main strip. We ended up staying 4 extra nights because we enjoyed puerto veijo and the property so much. Would stay here again.

The shared kitchen doesn't have alot of plates/knives etc. Someone kept eating our food from the fridge which is heart breaking when you go to make a pasta dish and realise the cheese has been eaten 😭. There was shelves for sharing in the fridge but it didn't seem to matter where you put your food or drinks they would be used - maybe a labelling or room drawer system would help?

Not worth the price, wouldn't recommend

Friendly owner (Rolando), and his wife was helpful. Location is good.

Unwelcoming and unfriendly Italian manager. Very uncomfortable room: hard mattress, very loud, no AC, many electricity inputs broken, Wifi given upon check-in didn't work. I cancelled my checkin and Italian manager tried getting 2 nights costs + tax from me - although Booking.com stated only 40 needed to be paid. Not worth it for the price.

Beautiful relaxing grounds, close to town and bike hire shops.

Lovely cabinas each with a hammock and outside terrace. Good location, a few blocks out of town but still close enough to walk to the shops/ cafes and nice and quiet if you don’t want to hear the nightlife. Really peaceful grounds, you feel your right in the jungle, you can watch the hummingbirds and geckos from your hammock.

The kitchen could do with a few more pots with fitting lids but you can still make do and cook a full meal.

Great place to stay!

This place was a great surprise. The rooms were set in a jungle type atmosphere and had a front porch with a table and a hammock.. Inside they were very nicely done. The folks running the place were very nice as well.

Cute little place to stay

Beautiful little place in a quiet street of Puerto Viejo. The place with the garden looks like a tiny jungle, hummingbirds humming around, cool little terrace with a hammock for each room! Really cool place to chill!

everything was fine, one thing to improve: the electric outlets were almost all broken in the room, thats should be fixed

Room was comfortable and clean. Owner was really nice and helpful. We loved the little private terrace and the green garden. Location is also very good and wifi was fast. You can use the kitchen and the fridge. We enjoyed our stay and I recommend this palce! :)

Really nice place with friendly people.

There are a lot of mosquitoes but the rooms have nets on the windows and one for the bed. Still we got stung a lot. But maybe that’s the same everywhere in Puerto Viejo.

Nice tropical apartment with pros and cons

Rolando is very kind and fixes stuff the same day when you mention it. The apartment has a nice tropical atmosphere, with open windows and stuff, making you hear all the animals outside. The kitchen is fine and has everything you need. Café Rico is a good place for breakfast and laundry.

We were not really fond of the electric shower heater. Due to the open windows, you also hear a lot of other things like guests going in and out the whole night. The bed was very uncomfortable and the mosquito net too small, when you touch it in your sleep, you still get bitten.
