A definite recommendation

The management was very welcoming and friendly, they offered us tea on our arrival. They also helped us with our arrangements to ascend Toubkal, including finding a guide. I definitely recommend staying here!

Veryyy nice staff! Awesome rooftop and view! Clean bathrooms!!

I wasn't able to go to Toubkal since there were no other Backpackers... The hostel is very far from the bus station luckily the picked me up otherwise it's one hour uphill..

Superb

Really kind people are running this place. I had a pretty rushed stay before and after a crazy one-day Toubkal ascent, but they gave me a better room than I booked despite the place being nearly full on my first night. They also let me stay for a second night in the same room although I didn't book it in advance. The room was great and the place is run professionally and with care. There is an epic view of Imlil and the mountains from the guesthouse too.

Amazing place to stay! STAY HERE!

best accommodation in Imlil and surrounding areas. one of my favorite stays so far during my 10 days in Marrakech! Mohammed the host was very welcoming. I got upgraded to a private room as there was only guys in the dorm. breakfast and dinner were delicious and plentiful! food prices might be a bit higher than marakech but keep in mind the food has to be carried up the mountain. and it was some of the biggest portions I’ve seen! great after a day of hiking. bed was super comfy. great hot shower. cosy fireplace in the common area. great vibes. and although the room was a bit cold, but afterwards it is January in the mountains, I had loads of blankets and a gray night sleep. the village is about 30mins walk from the shared taxi stand in Imlil but I think much better to stay here than in Imlil as it’s more peaceful and no traffic around!

A great experience.

Hossein and Mohamed were incredibly friendly. i recommended this hostel to everyone I spoke to on my trip in Morocco who told me that they were headed to Imlil.

It is a beautiful location and a great accommodation for groups. there are nice places to sit and enjoy the view. The staff is very kind and more than helpful, we were truly taken care of. They organized a wonderful guide, and the dinner and breakfast were delicious and plentiful. I’ve stayed there many times and would always go again.

If you come by car the road up there is an adventure for itself. But it almost added to the experience :).

the entry hallway is too empty and un-cosy. but the living room is exactly oposite so its fine!

A Mountain Home Away from Home

Abdul is an incredibly kind host; he speaks great English; the location is perfect to access Mount Toubkal from (much closer than Imlil village;) food was super yummy and vegetarian options are readily available. Super clean/well made up room; extremely good value for money; fabulous view of the mountains from communal areas and terrace. I would definitely stay here again if I return to the area in future!

It didn't bother me, but just a heads up the WiFi is a bit spotty at times and the hot water for the shower isn't super reliable.

All you could possibly want

Although slightly hard to find, this place exceeded all my expectations. Got a room to myself, cooked dinner and breakfast was provided and wifi was great. Amazing for the price.

Amazing location with the most breathtaking views. Large outdoor terrace, perfect when having breakfast or evening meal. Host was very friendly and meals were very good. This accommodation is right in the middle of a village high in the mountains. We had a fantastic guide who took us part way up the mountain and gave us an interesting insight into their way of life. Highly recommend staying here.

Quite hard to find however locals are helpful at giving directions. Road up was interesting (quite narrow in places) but the views on the way up were outstanding.

this place is good of one night but if you want to have a comfortable stay for a few nights look else where. we have sin

the food was really good and the people were very kind despite the language barrier. we really liked all the staff there.

first of all we were upgraded by booking.com to a room with six beds and a private bathroom but on arrival we were given a room with three and a shared bathroom. not a problem and the man who showed us in didn’t speak much English. also not a problem we accepted the room. we asked for a different room though as it was so much colder than the rest of the property and moved to the room next door which had some sun light. again not an issue. we did however need three blankets per bed to keep warm and slept in our thermals and hoodies and other clothes we could get on (November 2021) as there is no heating in the property and it gets extremity cold. no hot water for three of the days we stayed. only has hot water the first night and even then there wasn’t much. we asked a guide to translate the problem but it was never fixed. we ran out of toilet paper in the shared bathroom and in all the other bathrooms twice and they were never replaced so we also had to find a guide to ask to translate to get some also no wifi in the room and in the common area it could barely load a web page.

Friendly staff, nice views, and quiet atmosphere.

The staff was very friendly, the view from the terrace was peaceful and beautiful, and the dinner was very big. The manager upgraded us from the dorm to a private room at no additional cost because the hostel was empty and even picked us up from imlil for free. Great place to stay.

The best place to stay before climbing Toubkal!!! We highly recommend to choose Dar Imperial if you are going to visit Toubkal mountain. Everything is perfectly clean, the beds are so cosy and you sleep like a child, breakfasts are really good and once we’ve ordered the dinner - it was super delicious tajin! It feels here very modern and traditional at the same time and it is all very harmonious. The owner is an amazing person! He is very kind and ready to help in any situation and there is always something interesting to talk about. He met us as if we are his old friends. Thank you very much! You are in our hearts and we’ll always think about you with a huge warmth!

We spent 10 days in Morroco and this place was the best we experienced. The hosts were the nicest people we ever met, the whole family is extremely polite and dedicated to have you spend the best moment possible. They found all possible ways to make our wish come true, from visiting toubkal in one day to letting us taste the dishes we had missed on the bucket list. You can trust them 100% and we highly recommend you spend two nights at least there - you will also be able to enjoy beautiful starry night from their terrace. My warmest recommendation from the trip
