Quiet stay close to Oneroa Beach

It is an attached room with private entrance. Owners live next door. It is a quiet location, but still close to the Ferry, Oneroa Beach, bus stops and easy acess to all Waiheke Island and wineries. Heidi is a great host and gave a lot of helpful information. Room has an improvised kitchenette area, big and clean bathroom. If bed were larger and more confortable it would make it perfect ;) Clean. Wifi worked well. Overall good price for a weekend in Waiheke.

Restful, enjoyable and easy!

Our room was lovely and tidy and it was a comfortable bed. The location was perfect to walk to the beach and Oneroa village. The bus stop was close by and took us right to some wineries. Our host was amazing and went out his way to make our stay enjoyable.

Exactly what we needed

Quiet location, but close to everything - shops, amenities, beach. Beautiful weather apart from arrival day. Being allowed in early with the room cosily warm when we were wet from walking up from the ferry was really great.

Property was perfect, and this comment doesn't reflect on Blue Birds. Heidi was great. But it would have been nice to be warned that many of the attractions, wineries, shops on the island were closed, either due to it being the Winter season, or to them not being open certain days of the week. But we got by. It's something that we should have checked first, and chosen to visit later in the week.

A lovely relaxing break away from the city.

The location was fantastic and the accommodation was reasonably priced, clean, modern and had everything I needed. Close to ferry and Oneroa village shops, restaurants, cafes and beach. Heidi was a lovely, friendly and helpful host. The extra touches; chocolate, tea and coffee etc were really appreciated and her restaurant recommendations were spot on. Loved the 'Courtyard' and 'Fenice' dining experience.

Comfy and convenient

The host allowed us a late checkout and early check-in, which made it super convenient. Bed super comfy. Studio was right next to the hosts house but we didn't see them. Private getaway.

Could not get the TV to work.

Lovely, enjoyable and comfortable stay!

Close to town and beach access. Was a clean location with extras of everything. Very well equipped with everything you could need for your stay.

One possible let down was the lack of stove top because most food places are closed on a Monday evening.

Had a pleasant time.

Location was only a short walk to main shopping centre, and beach walks. Hosts were very helpful and obliging.

PERFECT!

Location was just perfect!! So close to the beach and Oneroa town. Very close to a bus stop too. My husband and I were also impressed with how good our sleep was during our stay!! Also, Heidi and her husband were very accommodating and friendly. Such a lovely couple!!

Would not stay there again

good location handy to shops and bus

have to close the bedroom door to open the hidden kitchen utensil doors and fridge. painting needs finishing around the bed headboard. Carpet mat badly faded and worn,doesnt look good.Overall looks pretty average.Needs a spruce up Good size bathroom but no shampoo or shower softsoap.When I lifted the bathmat,it was dirty off the floor Nice and helpful lady though

Location excellent. Owner very friendly and very helpful.

Room too small, glad we were only there 2 nights. Kitchenette facilities very poor, washed dishes in bathroom!

Great little studio close to the main attraction. It was very easy to explore waiheke as well, as it is right next to the bus stop. The host were very accommodating and gave us great recommendations

Great location for a short break

Great location, easy distance to shops and restaurants. Would be great for a single person. Huge bathroom with great shower pressure. Nice garden but no sea views from the room.

Bed was a little small for two people and two towels for 2 people over 3 nights was a bit hard to manage without a heated towel rail in winter. Not really suitable for cooking. Dishes have to be washed in the bathroom sink. No breakfast is included despite showing in the photos and saying 'breakfast in room'
