Lovely comfortable property in the heart of town. The location was perfect. Quality inclusions and comfortable furniture and beds.
Nothing.

Very stylish apartment in the perfect location. As a family, we loved the apartment, and the location just enhanced the experience. Mattteo was an expectional host and really helped us in a new location that we will have forever fond memories.
Nothing, my recommendation is to anyone visiting this wonderful city (particularly Ortigia) to stay in this beautiful apartment supported by an incredible host.

After three weeks of travel, this is easily the best place we stayed at. Tons of space, modern, and very stylish. Top level cooking equient. Convenient location as well.
Loved everything. If you are used to living in a city, the street sounds will not bother you....otherwise they.might.

The unit was in a perfect location. Very central. 3/10 minute walk to everything
It was a modern, well appointed unit. Lots of room for 4 adults.
Two good size bedrooms. One very nice, clean and easy to use bathroom
The well in the main room was a pretty cool idea!
Nothing really. Coffee maker not available on morning one. It was being fixed

This place is outstanding particularly for the fabulous location to be within the heart of Ortegia.
Ansolutely incredible - so convenient, spacious and unique. The place itself has tonnes of history and interesting architectural features. The hosts were so helpful. The owners daughter went out of her way to help us on multiple occasions suggesting where to visit etc. she kept in touch throughout our 5 day stay.
We stayed in August, a family of 5 and our 3 teenagers were able to go in and out of the property into the local area very easily and safely even late at night . The owners were incredibly helpful on our last day with offering us a great option for our bags when we had to leave our bags somewhere. Absolutely loved this place. I fell in love with Ortegia and staying here was part of it. Thank you to our hosts and their daughter.

Fantastic location, step out the door and fall right into restaurants and action. Design is wonderful, an open glass-covered old well inside the apartment, beam-covered loft, beautiful stone work, a bit like inside an Architecture magazine expo. Hosts were super nice and helpful. Great kitchen with all the utensils to cook bigger meals. Hosts helped us arrange for car parking thru a valet service, this worked better than expected, it does add EUR 20 per day but well worth it.
Super design work, but little things like the toilet flusher kept getting stuck, requiring to take off cover every time after flushing. Had a few roaches that came to visit, likely because there are restaurants around property. Loft bedroom lacks lights on the nightstand, you have to get up to turn on lights on the wall, hit my head a few times on the low-hanging beams in the dark. There are no windows to open besides two small window slots in guest room and bedroom. There is a window in the living room (up high), but apartment doesn't have a lot of natural day light coming in, nor can you let a breeze in, which requires you to operate the lights and AC around the clock.

Perfect location. Met by the hosts who kindly helped us unload our bags and park nearby. Great communication. The apartment exceeded expectations and was comfortable, stylish and peaceful despite being very centrally located. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend. Ortigia is beautiful and well worth a visit. Hope to stay longer next time!

This is a modern, beautifully decorated apartment in a central location.
It is a perfect location for everything in Ortigia.
Our hostess was very helpful.
I highly recommend this property.
As above.

Amazing location! I don`t think I ever stayed in a place which was this central. We opened our door and we were in the nice busy streets of Ortigia. There are a couple of restaurants next door, which we could get take away after the kids slept. The apartment is spacious and the rooms are comfortable. The communication with the host was excellent.
- There were a couple of things which I privately communicated to the host.
- Funny smell in the cupboards and drawers in the kitchen. It comes with an old building and I don`t think there is much the host can do.

Excellent location. Design and aesthetics. Stylish conversion of an ancient building.
A triumph of design and aesthetics over some aspects of functionality.

Best thing about the place is definitely the location. Super central, right next to some very good restaurants too. In fact there is a great one just outside the door. We were able to leave the kids, and sneak out for a nice plate of pasta with zero stress. Well equipped and exquisitely designed. Was a pleasure.

Excellent location in the heart of Ortigia's historical centre on a quiet side-street. Beautifully and lovingly renovated 300 years old house. Tastefully decorated. Large and comfortable living room, dining room and (modern) kitchen. Very friendly and helpful hosts.

You cannot beat the location of Casa Scina. It is a fabulous value for money. The entire house is spacious. The kitchen is very well appointed. The washer dryer combo unit under the stove top is a godsend on a long trip. Both the staff and owners responded immediately to several concerns that came up at our five days at the property and could not have been more friendly or accommodating during that process.
This was my second stay at Casa Scina and in the five years in between there are a few things that have gone to seed, unfortunately. The shower did not drain properly, flooding the bathroom after just one shower. The “technicians” had to return twice to get that sorted. Then, after a very heavy rainstorm, water came up out of the same shower drain with such force that it threw sand and small pebbles into the shower basin and resulted in about a half inch of water flooding the entire first floor. Quite a scene to return to after getting caught out in the storm ourselves. I do need to note that the property manager, the owner, a cleaning crew and representatives from the city’s plumbing dept all showed up very quickly to address the situation.
Little Things:
The dishwasher did not get the dishes clean even on the highest setting and with two ultra high end dishwashing detergent pods
There are only four small glasses and two unmatched wine glasses in the entire house. There are about two dozen coffee cups, however.
The sectional couch in the living room was long past its prime when I stayed at the property in 2016. Five years on and it virtually useless. The cushioning has lost any spring that it may have once had.
Towels are threadbare, insufficient in number and dingy

The design of the place is fantastic. Very clean. Location is fantastic yet very quiet. It is walking distance to everywhere with many great restaurants nearby. Ada and Salvo are both excellent hosts. Respond to your inquiry very quickly
