All round perfect place with amazing staff

The staff were amazing, so kind and friendly. The rooms were perfect size and very clean. Gorgeous pool area, with hammocks, yoga area, the garden and grounds were just beautiful and the best location right beside the beach😍 couldn't recommend enough

Disgusting and full of animals

I don’t know where to start from. For sure what you see in the pictures it’s definitely not what’s in reality. Rooms are dirty and full of animals (we had 2 big geko pooping around, insects and mosquitoes all around). The bathroom is not closed as shown but open close to the roof, which means that at night it gets full of insects and other animals attracted by the light. The toilet was disgusting. What is ridiculous is that this is a real scam: when we went to complain and check out to find another hotel the reception was full of people complaining for the same reasons and for the it was normal. They immediately gave refund for the remaining nights and put back the room on the website. If they tell you that what’s there is normal believe me that is not: we then stayed in two other hotels and there were no animals, no mosquitos and everything was clean.

AMAZING

We booked this hotel a day before we decided to go to Gili and it was the best choice of our vacation. The staff is so friendly and helpful, the best I ever had. The raja bar next to the hotel is also very nice with very good food! The rooms are very lovely and no comments about that. It’s cool that you shower with an small open roof so it gives you the feeling that you’re showering outside. Location is also very good. It’s a small island, so we walked everything what was fine for us. And we saw 4 turtles in front of the hotel!! But shootout to the staff of this stay! They work really hard and help you with everything you need and are always happy and nice to you. If we ever come back to this island, we going to stay here again for sure!

Lovely & convenient

Staff were brilliant. Everyone was young, happy, helpful, and just fantastic at their job. Location was perfect, that side of the island is the most beautiful in my opinion! Lots going on either side. Room was lovely, nice and spacious and nice that we could get water refill when we needed to. Breakfast was good too, pancakes were gorg!

I would say that the room was a little bit dark, and the bathroom / shower could have been a bit cleaner. Also, we were informed about a party / event that was happening until 3am in the morning on Sunday, and how very apologetic they were. But it turns out that that happens every week. Every night there is music and Sunday there is always an event on until late. That’s absolutely fine, but just to be open and honest with it in the first place and upon booking would be nice to know.

Not the best

Good location. Decent breakfast. Hot shower.

The mostly male staff were quite young and therefore inexperienced. As two female travellers I felt they pestered us a little and at times felt uncomfortable. The room wasn't great. Had poor lighting with no natural light. Room wasn't cleaned each day which every other hotel has offered.

Excellent place

We had a great stay here all the staff are super friendly and helpful... The rooms are lovely and clean and all the facilities are well kept.... I would recommend this place to stay to anybody... We were lucky enough to see the turtles here too... The manager Razel helped us with everything we needed and made us feel very welcome.... The breakfast is nice too... Thanks for making our time here so special....

Only thing I didn't like was.. I didn't stay long enough 🙄🙄🙄 everything else was great..

It was nice to visit Gili Air and Salim Resort is good for the price.

Breakfast was good it was on the beach.

Rooms are old and dark. Cleaned every second day. Further from the harbour then I thought.

Very happy with Salim Beach, staff was friendly and helpful, and i liked the location.

Staff were very welcoming, and lovely facilities. Not sure about the pool area, didn't inspect it.

amazing place, great locations, very nice bungalow and interior in the bungalow, so friendly staff, you will get all you need for your Paradise trip, restaurant/pub in the corner

Superb

Everything was great, the personal very friendly and always trying to help us. The swimming pool in very good conditions. The breakfast delicious. The banana pancakes the best in the island.

The bathroom was bit rusty, but everything working perfectly.

Really great place. If I was back on Gili Air, I would go here again without hesitation.

The location on the eastern side away from the prevailing wind was excellent. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food in the Raja Bar was also really good value for money and excellent quality.

Mossie nets - Salim needs to find a better solution.

Hide away on a great island, very relaxing abd great snorkel right in front there is a reef&diving

We enjoyed our stay, especially thank you to Anuar from the reception, he is very friendly works hard and is helpful. The breakfast at the beach was very nice, beautiful spot for sunrise. Also the Raja reggae band was fun the 2 nights we were there.

Love

The location was excellent with great snorkeling right out the front. Easy walk to harbour and other beachside restaurants. Staff were very helpful especially when we wanted to change rooms.

We originally booked the suite with pool view. It is a most usual layout with four suites attached to a communal sitting area but with no verandah. It was very dark you needed the light on even in the middle of the day. The single stand alone bungalows were much better.

Good location, not far from the center, but calm, beach is not the best, but great view for sunrise.

Nice breakfast, helpful staff, closeness of the sea.

In the cottages in the end of the garden no internet connection.

a bit run down

Great location and the pool area was nice.

Seemed a bit run down in the rooms and around the pool area. Rooms were really dusty and the mosquito net was too small for the bed so got bit a lot.

Nice place if you want some peace in Gili

the bungalow was really nice and the bar with beds over the Ocean was so cool

they don’t clean the room or change the bins and toilet papers no matter how long you stay the staff couldn’t speak English so it wad difficult to communicate
