An artfully designed Wild Camp with a very friendly host who takes good care of you.

We felt very comfortable and safe here. The camp is beautifully constructed and artfully designed in an African style. There are lots of flowers and plants that make for a cozy atmosphere. The huts in which you spend the night are simple, but comfortable. They have a fan at the ceiling and insect-proof windows. The beds are big and feature mosquito nets. There's a seperate hut with shared bathrooms which were very clean. Additionally, there's a common hut or restaurant hut in which you can order meals and drinks (including actually good bottles of wine). The food is like the whole camp: Simple, but beautifully prepared with a combination of great skill and love. It was very tasty and we enjoyed eating here a lot. The beach is a 2 minute walk away from the camp. On the way, after exiting the surrounding walls of the camp, you pass through the neighbouring village. The host escorted us to the beach for the first time, but after that we felt completely comfortable making the way on our own. The locals were friendly and either greeted us politely from afar or simply left us alone. At the beach, there's a hut belonging to the camp where you can sit in the shade and watch the ocean and the fishermen. We felt comfortable exploring the shore landscape on our own and going for walks along the beach. If you like, the host will bring drinks for you to the beach hut which also has its own restroom. Overall, we had a great time at A&Y Wild Camp and would 100% stay there again. When planning your journey, you should not forget that A&Y is a small family-owned wild camp far out in the countryside and not a large commercial hotel in the city. However, the artful design of the camp and its interiors, the incredibly beautiful beach landscape and ocean, the good food and good wine and the friendly care with which our host welcomed us certainly provided for a truly unforgettable travel experience that we will keep in fond memory. Thanks again!

Superb

This was my first Solo trip to Keta and l must confess l really enjoyed it. The host Yaw was exceptionally nice and professional, always making sure you are okay and the food mmmmm that was amazing. Thanks for this wonderful experience.

Seaside Vibes

AY Camp was brilliant. It was the perfect get away from the city. The location was nice, quiet. You couldn't hear outside noise. We came with a car to explore and parked outside the camp (no issues with safety). The beach was a short walk from the camp, the scenery was perfect. Yaw was very accommodating to our needs, loved the music in the evenings, and he cooks well.

nice place

The food was very nice, especially Italian pasta is great so that we got refills. The owner also arranged the boat tour of lagoon we really enjoyed it. Also location is good, there is between the beach and the lagoon. Thank you for the happiest holiday.

Sometimes the network was not good.

For me and my wife this is one of Best places in Ghana coast. Hole area is clean and beautiful. This is Africa Traditional way to experience real life. But me and wife is local life traveling couple. Beach is very beautiful and all people is very friendly.

Fabulous

Yaw is an amazing host, keeps his place extremely clean, neat and tidy. And whispers in the morning in order not to wake up his customers before they are ready to get up :)

Very good

Really friendly owner! He also prepared very delicious food for us! The guesthouse is at a very pleasant compound, quite close to the beach and walking distance to the town of Keta.

There is no internet network at the guesthouse although this was not really a big problem because you receive network if you walk to the beach.

Great vibes resonate from A and Y Wild Camp and I recommend it to all travellers!

Very nice host who made us feel welcome and prepared some delicious meals for us. The accommodation was very nice and a great place to relax. With a very short walk to the beach, this stay was a great way to enjoy Ghana's beautiful coast.

A little peace of heaven... loved our stay.

The accommodation was fantastic, had such a lovely feel about it. Exceptionally, fantastic value and Yaw, the host is a really lovely man, nothing was too much trouble. He’s also a very good cook. Although the accommodation is described as wild camping, it’s extremely comfortable, really nice, I cannot recommend it highly enough.
