Nestled in Nokomis, this attractive villa for $299 per night is a great option for your next trip. Beautiful water views from this downstairs unit of this bayfront two story duplex. This modest and clean duplex lies along the northern shore line of Dona Bay, enjoying the same views and setting as the neighborhood of multi million dollar homes. The views and atmosphere are spectacular being just 50 feet from the water. Enjoy fishing or crabbing on your private dock. There is no smoking permitted on the property, inside or outside. Pets may be accepted. Usually limited to one small or medium size dog. Owner reserves right to refuse based on the breed of dog. Please provide breed and weight of dog upon reservation request. Two small dogs is possible. The views are amazing, the location is perfect, and the duplex is clean and well maintained with a bit of old Florida charm. The downstairs unit is a two bedroom and two bath. It has a queen bed and two single beds. Maximum occupancy is four people. The view of Dona Bay out of the living room, kitchen, and dining room windows is nothing short of spectacular. Mature trees and landscaping accent the breathtaking water view of Dona Bay. The front of the duplex is landscaped with mature trees and shrubs. There is no garage or driveway and parking is shaded under the trees in the grass (with tree roots to navigate while walking) and away from the road. It has an "old Florida" charm while being fresh and clean.. Bringing a boat could be an option to discuss. It would depend on the size and motor type. There is plenty of room for the trailer too. Boats may incur an extra charge. The boat lift is not allowed to be used to lower and raise the boat. You may dock and tie the boat to cleats or posts to tie off, but cannot use the lift to raise the boat. Please provide the make, model, size and motor type when inquiring. This duplex is not a luxury home. The bathrooms still have 50 year plumbing and bath tile, with new toilets, vanities (sinks and faucets), and fixtures . They are maintained as best as possible and have all new hardware. There is no dishwasher in the unit. There is no garage. There is a shared laundry room with new washer and dryer on the lower level. Parking is in the front yard in an ample area amongst the trees (again, careful of the tree roots while walking). This is a more basic accommodation with unbelievable views, fantastic location, and Bayfront living with a dock. Mostly everyone loves the Cottage, but it is not for those seeking opulence. Wow, this ad is really understating how nice this unit is. It is very accurate in that it is not a fancy place. It is very clean and it is all anyone needs for an enjoyable vacation. The owner has been wonderful. The views are fantastic! Many restaurants nearby. Beach is very close. Location is great. Yes, we will be back.

As stated in the description the property is dated but everything worked and everything was clean. Plenty of kitchen accessories to make any meal. The views from the family room and deck were even better than the pictures for the property. Fished off the pier with shrimp and we were catching good size fish most casts. Very close to some great bars and restaurants.

Great place to stay to check out Nakomis Beach, Siesta Key, Sarasota Very nice clean property and attentive property owners. Nakomis has a beautiful beach & very easy to do day trips to Sarasota and Venice Beach area.. recommend staying here

What a beautiful location! We really enjoyed our stay. It is right on the water with a beautiful view. The street it is located on is a great street for walking or riding your bike. Absolutely loved it.

The bay front view is even more beautiful in person than in the property photos. The backyard is gorgeous. We enjoyed eating meals on the picnic table as we admired the view. The yard worked great for our dog as well. It was peaceful and quiet and on a lovely residential street off of the main road. Bryan was a wonderful host and let us know we could call on him for any need. The photos are accurate, with older style bathrooms. The location is great, 5 mins from downtown historic Venice and close to beaches. We enjoyed our stay more than we expected to!

Had a great stay. The house is perfect with everything you need for sure. Excellent host and minutes to downtown Venice and beaches. Great for runners with lots of perfect routes along beautiful streets. Looking forward to booking again soon!!

Bryan was a great host and the place was well stocked. Nice location with great views. One of the top properties we’ve rented. Nothing’s perfect but for a few small things this place was close. While clean was a bit musty on check in. Turned on ceiling fan and very dusty. The windowsills and blinds dusty and full of bugs. I would have loved if the windows opened. I am a bit of a clean freak it was the “deep” cleaning that needed attention. We didn’t mind parking on the grass but use caution when walking out front or getting out of the car. The tree roots rolled 2 ankles and twisted a knee. Getting out of the car or carrying stuff in mostly. My only complaints and that’s saying a lot because I am extremely picky. We’d stay here again no question and highly recommend the place. Posted my “complaints” because I’m not one to believe reviews that are all sunshine and perfect. But this place was close. A grill would have been nice and possible some bikes or kayaks/canoes to use. But we could have brought those. I wish I’d have brought some cards or board games but I don’t think they missed much else when stocking. I’d give this place a 95% perfect. Comfortable beds and furniture.

Good location. House pretty old and needs updates. Could use tv the entire weekend, Netflix, nothing. The Internet was very poor.
