About this house rental
Nestled in Saco, this attractive house for $1,012 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Stunning, spacious, open concept 2 story home, located one house back from Ferry Beach in a quiet residential neighborhood. Beautiful ocean views, central A/C, 43’X10’ deck, fenced in backyard, parking for 5+ cars. This "upside down" style has an open concept upper level living room, dining room and kitchen. Living room has 2 sofas (1 is a queen size Tempurpedic sleeper), gas fireplace and sliding glass doors that lead out to the deck. Dining area has a large table that seats 10. Modern kitchen with granite counter tops, gas stove, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and a large pantry. Kitchen is fully stocked with all dishes, silverware, glasses, mugs, pots, pans, bake ware, utensils, drip coffee maker and K-cup coffee machine, toaster, toaster oven, electric griddle, electric fry pan, mixers, food processor, wine glasses, spices and much more. Laundry room abuts kitchen. Along with the washer and dryer, it is stocked with most of the cleaning supplies that you will need, and an iron and ironing board. Also on the upper level is a large primary bedroom with king size bed, gas fireplace, and on-suite with slate shower and soaking tub. Two additional bedrooms with queen size beds, and a full bathroom. The first floor is above ground level and contains one bedroom with a queen size bed and trundle consisting of two twin size beds; an additional living room with queen sleeper, work station and tv; game room with pool table and 2 twin tri-fold mattresses; half bath; and a garage with space for one car. WiFi and cable TV are included. We have 2 living rooms both with televisions. There is also a TV in the primary bedroom. We have a 2 seat kayak, single kayak, canoe, boogie boards, skim boards, beach chairs, chaise lounges, beach mats, beach umbrellas, sand toys and more for your enjoyment on the beach. We have 5 adult size bicycles, corn hole, bocce, horseshoes, board games, books, puzzles, etc. For children we provide a high chair, doll house, pirate ship, castle, blocks, puzzles, beach toys. There is a hammock and 2 hammock swings for relaxing in the fenced in backyard. A gas grill with full spare propane tank, 2 outside tables, glider, and 2 rocking chairs. We provide so many amenities, it is impossible to list them all. You really only need to bring your suitcase, sheets and towels. Plenty of parking is available in the driveway with space for 5 cars. Relax on the fabulous 43'X10' deck while overlooking the fenced in yard, and enjoy gorgeous views of the ocean. The house is conveniently located between Camp Ellis and Ocean Park, just south of Old Orchard Beach. Palace Playland is always a hit with the kids. A short walk down the beach is access to Ferry Beach State Park with miles of wooded walking trails and a nature center. Saco is also home to Funtown/Splashtown USA and Aquaboggan Water Park. We rent from Saturday to Saturday during the summer season only. Built in 2009, this is not your typical beach property, but a full sized 4-season home built for a family. The perfect place to spend your summer vacation.

This house had everything we needed (and more) for a great family vacation. There was plenty of room for everyone. The beach is just a short walk from the house. We especially loved the view of the ocean from the balcony and had a lot of fun in the game room, playing pool and games.

We had an amazing time staying in this property! Everything was exactly as advertised and you can't beat the comfort and proximity to the beach. We had so much fun playing pool and using the provided paddle boards. It was so nice to not have to worry about parking, AC, bathrooms, space in the house, etc. The kids had so much fun with the whole downstairs area to themselves. Thanks, and see you next year!

This beautiful home more than met our expectations. Three generations enjoyed a week of relaxation in a space that provided everything needed to guarantee a comfortable, relaxing vacation. The home is well-equipped, well-appointed and steps from a serene and beautiful beach. The owners were delightful to work with. I am known to be quite particular and hold high standards for any of my travel accommodations. This vacation home was perfect!

The house was perfect for my family. We cooked and ate at the house most of the time. It was equipped with everything we needed and then some. They even had beach chairs and toys to entertain our 2-year-old twins. The deck was beautiful to eat out on. Definitely beat our expectation. Doug and Wendy were very welcoming.

Everything was flawless from the check in to the check out. Wendy was very accessible and always answered any questions in a timely manner. The house had EVERYTHING you may possibly need from kitchen utensils to beach equipment to games for the kids 3 to 13. The location is perfect and beach beautiful. The house is beautifully decorated and we enjoyed having dinner at a table that could fit all 10 of us comfortably. Thank you Wendy and Doug for allowing us to stay in your amazing home.

The home features 4 bedrooms, a large deck with ocean views, a game room with pool table, and all imaginable appliances. Everything is in excellent condition. It's a very short walk to Ferry Beach. We all enjoyed our vacation.

Fabulous house and location
The house was better than described and worked perfectly for 10. The downstairs was almost like a separate apartment where 4 people were quite comfortable. The seating in the living room, dining room, and deck was perfect for spending time together. And the location is perfect. Although you are one house off the beach, you have great views from the deck and the dead-end street make walking to and from the beach very easy. Would stay again.

15 Lighthouse Lane is our new favorite vacation rental, every amenity we could have wanted for a beach house was there, home was spacious , close to the beach and very peaceful. Wendy and Douglas met us at checkin to tour the home and had plenty of paper and cleaning products on hand to start us out for vacation. Also, kitchen is well stocked with spices, pots, dishes and lots of storage- we loved the coffee center! The photos don’t do the home justice, it exceeded our expectations, thanks !

Wendy was amazing to deal with throughout the booking and lead up to our stay. We certainly hope to be back!

Making three generation memories at Ferry Beach

If the weather permits, don’t miss the chance to take the kayaks out to Eagle Island(?) for a fun adventure. We didn’t see any seals, but hear they are common there! We were happy to lay low for most of the week, but would recommend the following: Shaw’s grocery store in Saco, easy to get to and not crowded! Cinnamon Rolls from Ocean Park Groceries, ice cream from The Saco Scoop and delicious coffee from Time and Tide Coffee in Biddeford. We had a really special week in Saco and can’t wait to go back to Doug and Wendy’s beautiful home soon!

This home is lovely. 12 of us stayed here & had a great time. The 6 grandchildren ages 10-21 slept on the 1st level with plenty of room for all. The 6 adults had their own rooms on the main floor. We kayaked out to an island close by. We rode the bikes to Camp Ellis & OOB. Enjoyed the nice deck & fire pit. This home has it all!! We will return for sure.

The house was beautiful (photos don't do it justice) and well stocked with everything we could have possibly needed. The location was amazing, right next to beach, and very peaceful. A short drive into town, could walk if you like!

The beach was a very short walk away. It was shallow and warm enough to swim in. The house was spacious and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils and appliances. A variety of sports equipment was available for water sports and indoor games. The neighborhood was quiet and the beach was not crowded. A most enjoyable experience for our family in all respects.

Well stocked, ample space, nicely furnished and tastefully decorated home. Owners have gone above and beyond in anticipating the things that renters might want and need -- down to toys for the kids and everything you might need for the beach and for cooking and dining. Beautiful home,views,location and all that we needed for the perfect Maine vacation!
The beachouse is beautiful,immaculate ,well organized and stocked with many amenities....all that we needed for the beach, for quiet evenings at the house and for great family dinners. We had a family " lobster fest" our last night thanks to a thoroughly stocked kitchen with all that was needed to cook,serve and devour the best lobster ever! The enclosed backyard and low traffic ,dead end street gave us peace of mind and gave the small kiddos space to play. The house itself provided ample space for our family of 6 adults,5 children and an infant as well as space for privacy as well. Wendy and Doug's game room was stocked with puzzles, blocks, art supplies and games so the kids were entertained and there was very little need for screen
time that week. The kids made good use of the bikes and helmets,fishing poles, beach toys and floats and bubbles! The adults loved having coffee in the morning on the deck with the majestic views of the ocean and a clear view of the kids playing in the yard. Our family had real quality time together that week and we made memories for a lifetime. Thank you Wendy and Doug for anticipating every detail for the perfect family vacation!

Great place
A full length mirror, that's it-- that is literally the ONLY thing this house does not have. You can cook any meal and would have everything you need. A reviewer commented earlier that you only need to bring your suitcase and they are correct.
The house is beautifully decorated and well taken care of. Wendy met us when we arrived to show us around and was easily available via text throughout our stay.
The house is larger than the pictures show and the deck is more beautiful than any picture could do justice. We have rented in Maine and most recently on Cape Cod and Wendy truly takes pride in her home. All the beds and couches were super comfortable and not what you sometimes find in a rental.
The house is 1 house from the ocean and a quick 30 second walk to sand and beach. We used the bikes and kayaks which were included as well as the corn hole game.
This house could not be more perfect. You will not be disappointed.

Wendy and her husband welcome you really warmly when you arrived! The house is beautiful and really clean! You will find everything that you need in the house! Absolutely The BEST
Thank you Wendy and Doug. You really know how to care for a family of 11 staying in the area. You have provided for our every need. (and those we didn't know we needed) We were grateful for the 'beach toys', from the sand toys, chairs, cart, the kayaks and life jackets. Oh, and the fishing poles and bikes too. We had a wonderful time. We were thankful for the binoculars for the whale watch as we forgot ours. They did a walk through with us when we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed. We were so excited to get all 11 of us around the table for lobsta dinners with all the 'tools needed' to eat our lobstas as well. Morning coffee on the porch listening to the waves as the sun came up was a great start to the day. The area was well away from traffic making it a safe environment for our grand kids to walk to and from the beach. When in the area with our family, this will be our 1st choice. Wonderful rental!
Doug and Wendy have made this a lovely home to rent. We biked, jet skied, beached it, had lovely fire pit gatherings with smores and made great memories! Splashtown/Funtown was great for the kids! Enjoyable stay in Maine!

Simply amazing
We stayed at this beautiful house for a week and could have taken more…
The owner was very responsive with my numerous questions and her answers were always helpful, kind and patient. She took great care and pride in providing everything necessary to make our stay memorable in many ways: kayaks were provided with all the security equipment needed, beach mats, cart, chairs, toys for kids, bikes, it was all there. We even had access to fishing rods and you know that every attention is taken when you find, in the fishing bucket provided, hooks, gloves and a pair of pliers.
The kitchen was awesome and, faithful to all the rest, everything was provided in terms of cooking needs, pots, pans, cooking utensils and accessories.
As for the house itself, future renters will be very comfortable in every room: the house is big, roomy, very welcoming and has a warm feeling to it. It was the kind of house that makes you feel instantly at home.
Surroundings are charming, the beach amazing and we always felt that the kids were secure in this surrounding, which is important and this made our stay that much more enjoyable.
We have rented many houses on the Maine coast and this one is by far ahead of all the others. The only advice I could give is not to bring so much stuff, a suitcase is all you need, the rest is all there !
