This residence is located on "Million Dollar Row" - Bird Rock, La Jolla - nestled on a tree-line street of multi million dollar singe family homes. This residence is a carriage house to the main home and is a unique loft configuration. An airy loft with soaring 14-feet ceiling and well appointed craftsman details offering you stunning ocean and city views from the roof top terrace. This home is in the heart of Bird Rock mere blocks to the waters edge and La Jolla Blvd. where you will find great boutiques, restaurants and one of the best coffee houses San Diego has to offer. The loft features central airconditioning (even though really not needed as so close to the beach that the residence enjoys the cool ocean breezes) ! The first level of the loft is a finished ground level that features a Bistro kitchen and lounging area with large sofa for relaxing or watching TV . This level also contains a full-size stacked washer and dryer and there is ample room for you to store bicycles, etc. The second level is the loft living space that has queen plush mattress bed (can fold up into murphy cabinet), and comfortable sitting area, a bath with rain-head shower, ample built-in storage cabinets/closet. The top level is a wonderful, ocean-view roof terrace with lounge chairs for sunning and BBQ The craftsman style details are noticeable throughout the home from the custom built-ins to hardwood floors to the amazing stain-glass windows and light fixtures found throughout the home. The space is a beautiful balance between being very open but still cozy and is full of natural light. Street parking is offered and is very easy to find in this area. Bird Rock is only a quick 10 min drive into the City of San Diego and a 2 min drive to the heart of La Jolla Village. Or better yet, rent cruiser bikes, and bike the great bike trails that connect Bird Rock to the La Jolla Cove and Village. Look forward to having you stay in this airy craftsman loft; this space will not disappoint! Nor will the morning sunrise or the evening sunset from the roof top terrace space.

My husband and I had a great stay in this cozy Bird Rock loft. We loved the outdoor space, the view, and the walkability to the little town and beach. Lisa was a great host, making our stay super pleasant. We will definitely plan to return!

I stayed in Lisa’s loft for about 5 weeks and it was so fantastic. The loft is well appointed and well stocked and the spa shower is amazing. Very spacious and everything is just well thought out and comfortable. My partner stayed with me for some of the time and the two of us were more than comfortable. This place has everything we needed, wanted and then some! Great location near parks, water, shopping and services. Neighbors were friendly too. Plenty of parking and the outdoor space cant be beat. I work from home and the wifi was very strong and consistent. Lisa was very responsive and helpful. She takes great care of the property. The home was spotless and the yard is well kept. I miss it already!

Lovely and Perfect
I stayed in Lisa’s loft for about 5 weeks and it was so fantastic. The loft is well appointed and well stocked and the spa shower is amazing. We were in La Jolla for two weeks to visit family and attend a high school graduation of our Grandson. The loft is beautifully furnished, starting with a very comfortable king bed. Although not a full kitchen, it was very adequate for us - refrigerator, freezer, convention oven, toaster, microwave and two cooking burners. There was an upper deck with an ocean view to enjoy and a Weber BBQ. The unit is at the back of the lot and enjoys a beautifully landscaped backyard and patio - again with a large builtin BBQ. On street parking was always available and we were just a short 5-10 minute drive from downtown La Jolla. We would not hesitate to stay at this location the next time we visit La Jolla.

I was very impressed with how communicative and reachable the owner was. The place looks even better than the pictures. Very comfortable, amazing sunsets from the roof deck. Great location - close to the beach, as well as a small commercial strip with restaurants, coffee shops, some retail. I stayed for over 30 days, and was very sad when I had to leave.

FABULOUS Week in LaJolla/Birdrock
My wife and I stayed at this wonderful little gem for a week and had an absolutely wonderful time! We thought it was in an absolutely ideal location, charmingly decorated, well kept, and really nice amenities. Two things we really appreciate are a great bed and shower, and this home provided both! It was also immaculately clean, which of course we also appreciate very much. The neighborhood was exceptionally quiet and pretty, and we loved walking down to the coffee shop and water ever day. It had wonderful access to downtown LaJolla as well as other towns along the coast that were great to visit. We also loved popping into downtown San Diego to see the sites. The owner was very attentive and we will definitely be back for another visit! Thank you for letting us enjoy your little piece of paradise!

The roof top patio is a great place for sunset cocktails or a sunny lunch. You are only a few blocks from the north end of Pacific Beach where I took a five mile walk every day! Perhaps the high point of my trip. Bird Rock is a wonderful neighborhood with great coffee houses, surf shops, yoga studios and lots of little non-chain boutiques. This is not a tourist area, it is a wonderful little high end village. Oh, did I mention that the unit was super clean? My wife and I will be going back and staying again soon. Lots of great memories. I would also like to tham Allison who lives in the main house. She is the sister of the owner and really made me feel at home. Beautiful Spot!
We stayed for a month at this lovely property on Waverly Ave. It was a perfect location for visiting San Diego and for enjoying the La Jolla area. The southwest exposure provided such beautiful light...especially in the morning...and gave us magnificent sunsets.
Lisa and Christina were very attentive to our needs and provided everything we needed to make our stay comfortable.
We are now off to another of Lisa's properties to spend a relaxing two months. I'm sure it will be as well appointed as Waverly Ave.

We loved the location and all nightly walks along La Jolla Blvd and the Ocean. The views from the roof top back into the city are amazing and so are the sunsets. We slept really well. We opened up all the windows and could hear the ocean waves nightly. The space has a lot of charm and character. It has everything we were looking for and more. We plan to book this place again.

Beautiful space, with stunning views!
I loved the space! The roof top is amazing for walking fireworks and sunsets. I even managed to watch a few sunrises. The space is very clean, organized, and comfortably furnished. It was cozy and comfortable. I enjoyed walking every morning to Bird Rock (La Jolla Blvd). Great location and Lisa was very helpful with great tips on things to do. I will be back.

Absolutely wonderful stay!
I don't generally write reviews, but I had to in this case. The loft was so clean, comfortable and extremely spacious (as well as super neat and organized!). We loved having our meals on the rooftop terrace - the views were beautiful! The loft is located in a pleasant, quite neighborhood. Try to catch sunset at the nearby Calumet Park (a short walk from the loft) - it's breathtaking! Can not recommend this highly enough!

Unfortunate experience
My kids were looking forward to the Loft. When we got there, we were told that we could not use the loft and the ladder was removed. We were instead given a sofa bed that was placed in the GARAGE. Tried to talk to owner and manager but they were not at all receptive. They felt that the garage and the loft were the same so long as a bed was provided. It was very disappointing to say the least. I wish their advertisement was more accurate. I would have probably chosen another place, had I known the facts.

Nice , bright , open space
My husband and I , my 21 year old daughter and 18 year old son stayed here for 6 days. The Murphy bed wasn't very comfortable but we loved sitting on the rooftop porch with morning coffee and at night to watch the sea world fireworks. Very convenient to beaches stores restaurants and shops.

Wonderful rental in a perfect location!
My teenage daughter and I stayed at the loft while visiting my son. The property was well laid out, had plenty of storage to keep everything out of sight, and felt very spacious. The finishes and furnishings were lovely and the bed and sofa bed air mattress were all quite comfortable and my daughter loved the privacy of the loft. Although we had high humidity when we first arrived, the windows allowed for wonderful breezes and we never used the air conditioning. The ocean views and Sea World fireworks at night were enjoyed from the terrace, and was just a great place to hang out. I love to bike ride so we had bikes delivered for the week from Stay Classy Bikes which we stored in the garage area on the ground floor. I thoroughly enjoyed my daily tours of the area and extraordinary homes as well as the bike path through town. The beginning of the boardwalk path was just a few blocks south and you can ride through Pacific Beach all the way to Mission Bay and further – very easy ride and fun to people watch on the way. We fell in love with Windandsea Beach and spent most of our beach time there, enjoying the scenery, watching the surfers and sunsets. The main street of Bird Rock was a quick stroll to fantastic coffee at Bird Rock Roasters, Seaside Smoothie and Juice Bar, as well as the other shops and restaurants, and we also made good use of the posted recommendations at the loft. We fell in love with the area and can’t wait to come back – and would definitely stay at the loft again or any of the owner’s other properties.

Fabulous get away!!!!!!
We got this little hidden treasure at the very last minute for the 4th of July week end. This is the first time we have ever rented by owner and we were thrilled beyond. Beat many of the hotels we have stayed at and the owner of this rental I have to meet because she may have been even more organized than myself. The place was amazingly clean, cozy and perfect for our family. We loved all the recommendations from the information board and walked into town to enjoy the local charming coffee shop, ate Sushi and shopped the unique boutiques! I have shared this steal to many friends from AZ who can't wait to check it out. We definitely will be back!!!!!

WHAT A VIEW! A JEWEL IN MULTI MILLION. $$$ ROW LA JOLLA
We came here expecting so much less as the price was unbelievable
This is a private carriage house in a neighborhood filled with multi- million to Mullin dollar homes.
He first floor has a bistro and lounging area that also provides an additional sleeping if you would like an e tara sleeping annex. The second floor contains the main living area with ocean views. The roof terrace is amazing!! We were treated to nightly firework shows courtesy of Sea World. We loved Sunni g here and grilled our meals on the BBQ there. What an Oasis ! We are definitely returning !

Honeymoon
My husband and I stayed in the loft for the final days of out honeymoon. It was a beautiful space and really lived the roof top. It is a nice residential neighbourhood with lots of parking. We enjoyed that the loft was a quick drive to many beautiful beaches.

Quiet and excellent retreat for some days, if you would like to avoid staying at a hotel!
My husband and I stayed for a week in the Loft and we loved it. It has an excellent location. It is only a 5 minute walk to the shops in Bird Rock and 8 minutes to go to the Ocean and watch the surfers.
The place is very clean, beautifully build and the floor plan was very well planned. In the 1st floor there is a small kitchenette with everything what one needs during a short stay, the 2nd floor is the main living area. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom is really well build and has a wonderful shower with a rain head. Everything is organized really well and beautiful craftsmanship throughout the whole building. I loved the floor plan that the stairs go up then from the main floor to the roof top. The roof top terrace is excellent. You can choose to sit on the south side, then you have a view down to Mission Beach, or you can sit on the east side and you see the whole ocean in front of you. The residential neighborhood is lovely and very quiet.
We had an absolute amazing time. We travel a lot because of our work and when we can we try to avoid to staying at hotels. This place gave us everything for this one week visit that we needed and gifted us with a lot of privacy. Very lovely and enjoyable! We will be back.
