Beau coin de montagne, accès quasi-impossible; réalité du confort très loin de la description.

vue très belle sur montagnes, on est effectivement en montagne ...

route d'accès très dangereuse: non marquée, peu d'endroits pour se croiser (heureusement, personne ne vient là). Ne rêvez pas d'un duplex: c'est en appartement sur un etage avec une cuisine en contrebas, d'accès difficile (plusieurs endroits avec hauteur en dessous de 1m65, sans protections. Dangereux! ) Pour déjeuner en haut, beaucoup d'aller-retours (et bosses). La photo du balcon (étroit) est fausse: elle montre deux tables chacune avec deux chaises, mais il est coupé en deux par une barrière. On ne dispose donc que d'une petite table et deux chaises... Le "duplex" était annoncé avec deux salles de bains; il n'y en avait qu'une! Le living room est une aimable plaisanterie: c'est le palier un peu élargi de l'escalier pour la cuisine: environ 2m50 par 2m. très cher pour la prestation: on a sans problème deux bonnes chambres pour un prix moindre dans la région de Mystra/Sparte.

Cosy appartement with nice terraces and magnificent view. If I knew, we booked longer.

A long smal road up the hill, but on the other hand, that ‘s what gives you that unique isolated feeling what was very nice.

Stunning location with breathtaking views and wonderful host!

Stay here!!! Absolutely speechless. What a wonderful visit to Mystras. There is a beautiful winding road up the hill, hosting picturesque views all the way up. When we arrived at The Guesthouse, the lady came out and we received a warm welcome. She was so kind, friendly and generous and made our stay the best possible. She lived in America for 30 years so her English is superb but was born and raised in the area and is full of knowledge that she is more than happy to share with you. Thank you so much for a wonderful time in Mystras!! Quick ride to the town - suggest to go to Taverna Hellen for delicious authentic Greek dinner. The rooms at The Guesthouse are so accommodating and spacious with such great views. Really recommend this guesthouse. Thanks again for a beautiful stay.

What an awesome Greek mountain experience!

This lodge is an extraordinary experience. Lovely Joanne is the owner, she was born and raised in this tiny mountain village, left for a few years abroad and came back to renovate "her"family home. The location is fantastic if you love nature, Greek mountain village stories, mountains and quiet and peace. The views are stunning, one of the best we have ever had! Terraces all around your appartment. Breakfast in the sun with a view on the old Mystras castle and the valley of Sparti. Impressive! The road is a 5km road to the house, but so beautiful. Hiking trails start behind the the house and you can hike in one hour downwards to Mystras and you can also hike up the mountain as far as you want, to monasteries, springs etc. The mountains just start at your front door! Joanne is very lovely, she provides you with Oranges ( great taste and juice!) from her own garden, bread and stuff for breakfast. The place is very clean. With nice hot showers. Make sure you book at least 2 nights, since you can enjoy then the relaxed mountain atmosphere. Bring your own wine and snacks, there is nothing up there. But that makes it so romantic! HAve dinner at Mystras little square. Mystras is a lovely ( not too touristic) village, with quite a few nice restuarants.

The beds are very hard. We told Joanne she should change this.

Exceptional

As two couples we were traveling the Peloponnesus on motorcycles. We stayed two nights and had a wonderful two-bedroom apartment with a small living room, good equipped kitchen and comfortable bathroom. Everything was perfect, clean and tasteful. The view from the balcony and terrasse was breath-taking. The breakfast with bread, yoghurt and fresh fruits was good. ….. gave us a warm welcome and a very personal view to the history of the building. She could help with a bottle of wine we forgot to by in time and was always committed to make our stay comfortable. We would look forward to an other visit.

Joanna was an amazing host. Such an interesting person and went out of her way to make our stay authentic and enjoyable. The delivery order of Greek food was exceptional and Joanna was happy to share her wine and stories about the history of the property! One of favorite stays of a three week trip. Highly recommend!

From Sparta it is about 25 minutes to the appartment (including the road up to the hill), but the house and the view are excellent. The same is the host Joanne. Lovely experience.

Great mountain getaway. I loved the peace and quiet while enjoying views on the balcony. For wildlife we saw pine martens and wild hogs around the house. We had a fantastic meal in the nearby village of Παρόρι with great scenery (spring fed fountains coming out from the mountain wall). If you like hiking the E4 trail runs right beside the house along with a trail that runs down to Mystras.

Amazing house in the Tygetos mountains

Isolated house in the mountains, great views to Mystras castle and the valley. Ioanna was very cordial and helpful and spoiled us with cake, cookies and more. She also invited us for a drink at the evening near the fireside! Highly recommended for nature lovers. Many mountain hikes around.

Beautiful spot

It’s in a beautiful, quiet spot with a wonderful view of Mystras and near some lovely hiking paths. It also had good internet despite being fairly isolated and out of town. The owner is very hospitable and warm and helped us plan our time in the area. Thank you for everything!

It was difficult to get food if you don’t want to drive into town (minimum 30 min round trip)
