The room was lovely and the people were lovely
they were renovating which in itself wasn't the problem. The first day we went into the room and it stunk really bad of a gluey smell, we left both doors open for about 3 hours. the day before we left there was a really terrible smell in the hall way. to the point i thought i would be sick. i then went and got someone to open the downstairs door and the laundry windows for about an hour and that seemed to take the smell away. i do believe had they have aired the whole place before shutting it up would have made a big difference

Room 10 has Great Lake view as shown in the photo. The glass window managed to block out the sound of the traffics which is wonderful. Room size is spacious.
Unfortunately a lot of negatives on this property. 1/ bed is low, soft, and squeaky. if one person move, the whole mattress wobble. 2/ No handheld shower. The taps are so old that it’s hard to control the water flow. Sink tap is leaking. 3/ Air conditioner is not powerful, took a bit to get it to work. 4/ TV is the size of computer monitor. 5/ room carpet is disgusting. 6/ Worst of all, at 9:45am someone came knocking our door asking us to check out. No good morning or pleasantries. Just asked if we would check out before 10am sharp. Very weird. They are doing renovations for the entire upstairs right now so it’s dusty and noisy. We had 5-6 tradespeople working on the afternoon we checked in. I would stay away until the renovation is done, check out the place in person and decide if you would stay there. For us there are many nice places in the area we most likely won’t stay here again.

Checking in at a bar felt a little uncomfortable after travelling, though the staff were great...As a cleaner myself I noticed straight away the bathroom was dirty...the shower area had months of build up of soap scum & mould, i wasn't keen to have the shower i was looking forward to...a little gumption & elbow grease go a long way for hygiene & presentation😊

Patrons downstairs in pub a bit noisey, one drunk in particular was loud for a while.
Carpet Cleanliness in hallway, and windows could do with a clean.

Located on the lake, walking path around the lake is great, Warners Bay offers a multitude of cafes and is a quick drive or a nice long walk. Good food downstairs in the dining/pub area, nice deck with lake views to enjoy a drink.
The accommodation is getting very tacky, untidy and needs a major renovation, however, if they were to do this I’m sure the cost would rise as a result, you don’t get much for what you pay to stay here, but, as todays prices go, you don’t pay a lot!

Stairs. Room was NOT clean (dust and cobwebs including on walls, bed, furniture & blinds). Air-conditioning not working properly, had to change rooms but other rooms no better. Very over-priced, was told possible discount would be given but did not happen. Very disappointing.

I was told there were “some” steps up to the room, however, the rooms are above the bar with no lift. As I was traveling with my elderly father this was an issue for him.
