About this apartment rental
This tastefully remodeled condominium is a true home away from home. It contains all of the household necessities you will need and more. The oceanfront location allows you to fall asleep and wake up to the sounds of the waves. One can take a picture of the sunrise without getting out of bed. It is truly a prime location on the island, since one can spend the entire vacation without leaving Bolongo Bay. Bolongo has three of the most popular restaurants on St.Thomas: Lobster Grill, Iggies, and Mims. Lobster Grill features live music and a romantic ambiance, Iggies has all you can eat days and karaoke nights, and Mims (a family owned and operated authentic caribbean seafood restaurant) serves by far the best lobster on the Island. Bolongo Bay also has its own Diving Club, which provides a full range of services, for example: diving instruction/excursions, snorkeling excursions, and equipment rentals. Additionally on the beach, you can find jet ski rentals and excursions. In addition there is are 2 tennis court, 3 pools, a beach volleyball court, and a small cave for exploring at the Eastern tip of the bay. There is also a small family operated hotel carrying the name of the Bay, Bolongo Bay and Beach Resort. It is known for hosintg lavish weddings on the beach and planning catamaran trips (boat named: Heavenly Days; docked on Bolongo Bay). However if you are interested in exploring the rest of the island, you are very close to most points of interest. (see map) Additionally there are ferries which take you to other US and British Virgin Islands from Crown Bay Marina and Red Hook Marina.

After having 2 other condos in that area cancel on us we booked this one. The cost was less but it wasn’t worth the money. Sections of drywall missing in 3 separate areas. The dryer doesn’t work at all and we were not informed until the day we arrived. There is a leak in the kitchen coming from under the sink cabinet. The floors, walls, and wood work are filthy, and there is a strong musty smell. The main bedroom ceiling has a large water stain next to the sliding glass doors. Unfortunately the property has been neglected. Location is great(we always stay in that area) it’s a safe area with great views, and the bed was comfortable. Large balcony next the ocean. When communicating with the owners we had quick responses, but they said, they will look into everything or they will send a technician out but no one showed up while we were there. It’s sad because the condo has great potential.

Steven’s unit as well sited right above the water's edge, with fantastic vistas across Bolongo Bay eastward. There are wonderful views from floor to ceiling sliders in both the living room and primary bedroom. The kitchen and bathrooms are nicely and stylishly remodeled, and the kitchen was well appointed with tasteful dishware and silverware. For us “old folks” there are only 6 steps from the parking lot and this, as well as a view out of the bedroom were the most important factors for us. Most importantly, Steven is immediately responsive to any questions or concerns.

The owner was very responsive and was gracious when we contacted him. It was great that Mims & Iggies restaurants were in walking distance. The views from the condo balcony and sounds of the crashing waves were beyond awesome! We chose this place because it met our needs. We do not like to eat out for every meal. So the full kitchen was good. Our adult daughter and my sister were with us. The 2 full bathrooms & twin beds in the 2nd bedroom also met our needs. We come to the Caribbean often and love to stay right on the ocean. Therefore, we are used to the damp and sometimes slight dankness that the moisture can cause. But this place had a sickening smell. I opened the closet in the master bedroom and was almost knocked out by the putrid odor that emanated from it & into the unit. We'd done our shopping before getting to the condo, and had nothing to remedy this. The next day we went back to the store and bought several kinds of air fresheners to mask the smell... that didn't work. The unit was very dusty & NOT CLEAN. We called the owner and communicated this. He sent the cleaning person back, and it was still not clean. It was so dusty that my sister had a respiratory reaction. I understand that a surface cleaning between renters is typical, but this condo needs a deep cleaning! We spent as much time as we could outside. There are also two areas where the drywall is cut out and the living room furniture was uncomfortable. We made the best of it, but wouldn't stay here again.

Place was lovely with great views of the bay from the balcony. 4 stars only because the hot water was intermittent and we ended up taking cold showers. Contacted the management company and were told they had no one on the weekend.

It was great to be back to St Thomas. Our 2nd time staying at Estate Bolongo. Family of 4 spent 15 days in Steven and Lillian's condo and absolutely enjoyed every minute. Owners have wonderful communication, friendly neighbors, and conveniently located next to Mims restaurant. Quick drive to Redhook, our favorite hangout, and a few minutes more to Lindquist Beach, our favorite beach on the island. Couldn't have been happier and look forward to returning next year!

Everything was great, except housekeeping had not come(crunbs on table, towels on floor, beds sheets not changed out) and we checked in at 5pm. Owner was quickly contacted and housekeeping arrived while we were at dinner.

First Steven chatted on the phone with me, answering ?s months before our trip. All information packets were terrific, materials in the condo also helped us to decide on things to do. My daughter (adult) and I found all directions easy to follow and liked Steven and Lillian's suggestions. The condo was wonderful. A galley kitchen completely stocked with pots and pans, silverware and other goodies. We loved the balcony where we read books, relaxed and just watched the water and the palm leaves moving. The apartment is comfortable, plenty of furniture. The Klimt art work in the living room and bedrooms made us feel like we were in a fashionable apt. The apt was easy to enter and leave:the door was easy to work with. The apartment is close to grocery stores, Red Hook, and the main road that goes into Charlotte Amielia. The bedrooms were very comfortable and there were bureaus to contain our clothing. Beach chairs and games were readily available. The Bolongo beach and Mims were just a short walk away. Security cameras were on the property. I happily give the condo 5 stars.

Amazing Property for Family Vacation
The property and location are amazing. Just far enough off the beaten path to feel like you have your own tropical paradise but close enough to everything you need.
Property is well equipped and the owners are very nice and communicative.
This was the first trip for my kids off the "mainland' and they fell in love, many thanks to the property.

Beautiful setting
Just had a wonderful few days at Watergate Villa. The condo had plenty of space for our family of four. The kitchen was well equipped (although being English I would have liked a kettle for tea- but we just used a saucepan) The beds were comfortable and it was lovely to fall asleep to the sound of the waves. There is air conditioning but we only used it once as there are sea breezes. We sat on the balcony every evening enjoying rum punches and admiring the beautiful ocean view. Steve and Lillian were very helpful with directions to their place and suggestions about places to visit. The next time we will try to go to The Stone Farmhouse. Unfortunately they were all booked up when we were there. Would love to return some day!

Spacious condo!
This was a great place to stay. I appreciated the extra things like a discreet clothesline for drying swimsuits and included beach towels/fold out chairs. The 3 accessible pools were very nice and not crowded. Not the property but as info for visitors- Bolongo Bay was very windy/rough (maybe not all the time?) and rocky and so was not good for swimming. We went to other beaches to swim/snorkel but the view is great and having walk-to restaurants is very nice. Property was quiet and felt very secure/safe.

Best vacation ever!!!
I absolutely loved the spaciousness of this villa. As soon as I opened the balcony door, it took my breath away! It was so beautiful. I spent every morning making some coffee, putting on some music, sitting out on the balcony and just soaking in all of God's beauty. The location was perfect for our first trip to St Thomas. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants. We loved going to Iggie's; their food was great and reasonably priced.
The owners always responded quickly; which was very much appreciated. And it was nice that we had access to 2 other pools at the 2 resorts next to us; since ours was temporarily out of order. I also loved that fact that this villa came equipped with everything! They even had a coffee maker and iron & iron table!
I would definitely recommend this property to anyone. It made our trip even more amazing!

Good stay on Mongolo Bay
We had 4 adults and 2 children (3 and 7). Overall we had a good stay. The beach was a short 5 min walk from the condo. It was at the resort next door, but it is fine to use their beach. Beach had some seaweed there, but served its purpose for 2 of our 6 days. Next door at Izzies was a nice restaurant with swim up bar and restaurant. This is a good home base for the price to do many different things on the island.

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was cute, clean, and the views from the balcony were amazing! Steven and his wife were quick to respond when we had any questions. We ate at both the restaurants on site and everyone one we met, from the locals to other visitors were very friendly. Our stay was perfect!

my family and i had a great visit to st. thomas here at bolongo bay! the property is all it says it is and the pools are nice. great bathrooms and the kitchen came in SO handy. it’s a little challenging to get around so car rental is recommended. the hotel next door is helpful with taxis and such. thanks for a great vacation!

First off, the views of the bay are out of this world. That was worth it alone. The space is fully equipped with everything you need. Would definitely stay here again.

The unit itself is dated and needs new slider doors and screens .
They are a pain to open and close and that and the ceiling fan in the master bedroom that shakes and has only fast as a speed were the top two complaints here .
The beach is very rocky and belongs to Bolongo bay resort , it is not kid friendly or adult for that matter as the water is all sharp rocks and coral .
The pool is awesome, and Mims restaurant is overpriced and underwhelming in terms of food .
Would we stay here again ?
