Great stay in Inverness

The guest house is perfectly located on a quiet river front street with great views yet close to city center Tastefully decorated rooms and well thought out amenities. Host was amazing and the breakfast the best we have had (which says a lot) since our 15 stop tour of Ireland and Scotland.

We can’t think of anything that we did not like or were not pleased with

Totally, totally awesome!

The property is ideally situated facing the River Ness and is just a short 10-minute walk to the city centre shops, bars, restaurants, and bus/train stations! Our room was the Family Room on the first floor…incredibly stylish, comfortable, and all the modern amenities you can imagine…not to mention the most comfortable beds and pillows ever! Leah (the host) is just so wonderful…she’s friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about everything Inverness…what more could you ask for! Without hesitation we recommend staying at Fraser House and we’ll definitely be guests again on our next visit. Thanks so much Leah!

OK for location but certainly improvement required on the host front.

The room was ok.

The host was a bit rude. We were a bit early on time, and hadn't read her response to my previous message which mentioned that we'd be arriving early. Upon our arrival insteading of greeting us and politely addressing us, it seemed like she was offended and so were we with her behaviour. My sister and I were infact scared of her after she blasted us and left a day before our scheduled departure. Further, both me and my sister noted that on one of the nights, there was non stop dripping sound coming from the room upstairs.

Wonderful stay @ Fraser House Inverness

Wonderful location (room facing the river) at a reasonable price. My host Lhea was lovely, welcoming and helpful during the stay. The room was clean and breakfast was available. There are many restaurants nearby to explore and the city center is closeby. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely love to come back :)

Nothing particularly as such. Thankfully, it was all good for me.

Excellent. Great location. Top class Restuarant with 200 meters walk.

The host, Leah, was exceptional. Very friendly & nothing too much trouble. Would highly recommend. Parking permit was available.

It was a great place with a helpful host, comfortable beds, good breakfast food and a handy location

We loved that Leah was accommodating with us dropping off our luggage in our room before we were scheduled to check in, which allowed us to do some sightseeing without having all of our luggage in the car. She cooked us a made to order breakfast which was tasty and fresh and had many options to choose from. The room was clean and had a wonderful view of the river on one side and the town on the other side. It was bright and cheery with a comfortable bed. The location was perfect for exploring Inverness and close to restaurants and close enough for a short day trip to the Isle of Skye.

Such an amazing stay in Inverness. Highly recommend it to everyone.

Comfortable, convenient and value-for-money in Inverness

This is a nice little B&B. Great location. Simple, clean, small, comfortable. Helpful host. We especially liked being able to open windows for a cross breeze and looking over the Ness river in our 3rd floor (walk-up) room. Great local pub down the street.

This is not a a fancy place but it doesn’t present itself that way. Breakfast was 8-9, too early for us.

Met my expectations for a short stay. Enjoyed Inverness. Will consider booking again if I come back

Very convenient for the rail station. River location was very good. Met at property, was able to check in at 20.30 after the train from London had arrived.

Beautiful Highlands in Town experience

Very cute house, near to the city center but quiet and peaceful. Nice view to the river with seagulls. Parking was at the side of the house. Very cozy room, very good internet connection and very nice hostess. She prepared excellent breakfast.

Superb

I have stayed in many places on my travels. Leah and her mum Lucy were just so nice friendly the beds were comfy warm room was clean. Breakfast would of been amazing but I had a hangover but my partner really enjoyed hers. Would I go back hell yah it was like a home from home

Fell in Love with Fraser House

Very welcoming Hostess..great information..a truly engaging and caring host. Central to everything and well within a short walk to tons of pubs resturants and shopping..I love Inverness and the charm of The Fraser House!

Seagulls making an awful racked very early..part of the experiance of coastal life! Nothing to be done..if Room had a fan so the windows could be shut to cut down on noise, that would help.

Comfortable and pleasant stay in great location on the river.

Location was excellent with lovely view over the river. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. Very nice breakfast.

Decor was a little old fashioned though spotlessly clean.

Nice B&B with very good views

Great view of the city from the windows. Very little road traffic so quiet with the windows open. The radiator worked very well, so a warm room.

Thin doors meant people entering/leaving rooms was a bit noisy. Shower was an electric one, either lava or ice, so could use a bit of adjustment.

Comfortable Room, Amazing Location

Lovely stay!! The double room with ensuite was in a separate area of the house from the other rooms and therefore it was totally silent and pitch black at night. Best sleep out of the 9 places we stayed on our holiday. The room was totally spotless and smelled nice. I saw mixed reviews on the older style decor/furniture but we liked it and found it quite charming. Breakfast was good value and the host was very accommodating and helpful.

No view!! (we talked to the host about this already but for anyone booking here, just keep in mind they don’t all have views).. After going back to booking.com and reviewing the available rooms, I now see that some of the rooms say “river view” and ours just said “view”… but what misled us were the photos. There were 4 photos included in the room description and it showed a view of the river from a window. So we were disappointed to not have that. When you go to the actual website of this guest house, it shows this room without a view so I should have looked into it more or simply asked the host in advance. That being said though, I still think those 2 photos should be removed from the room description if possible. Other than that, we loved this place, highly recommend it and would love to return!! Thank you!! :-)

spacious room with river view

Lots of noise coming from the pipes when water was being used in other rooms. Quite expensive for a B&B, I think that price should include the breakfast especially for a solo traveller.

Excellent guesthouse in a great location.

Fantastic location right by the river with lots of local bars and restaurants close by. Also close to main sights of Inverness. Leah was wonderful and looked after us really well. Breakfast porridge was amazing.

Very cosy, great location and friendly host. Highly recommended!

It’s a cosy, friendly and very well managed B&B. close to city center right across the bridge where there are many lovely restaurants and pubs. The view from the rooms overlook a canal which is lovely as well. The owner, Leah is the best host ever.. very friendly, helpful and makes a wonderful breakfast based on personal Liking!
