Welcome to our Sunset Hideaway, a recently renovated 1,717 sq. ft. condo with 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms at the luxurious beach community of Pointe West. Ideal accommodations for 2- 9 guests including 2 furnished balconies to watch the sun rise and the breathtaking nightly sunsets. Located on the tranquil West End of Galveston Island, the community offers both beach and bay views as well as amenities like no other on the island. During your stay at Sunset Hideaway you will have access to the expansive and meticulously maintained private beach, fishing piers, 2 pools, 2 hot tubs, fire pits, workout facility, gameroom, onsite seasonal restaurant/bar and boutique and much more. Plus, Galveston attractions like the Seawall, Pleasure Pier, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn, The Strand area, restaurants, and more are just a short 30 mins away and make for an even more memorable vacation at Sunset Hideaway. Accommodations Open, bright, and clean with all new upscale furnishings, paint and flooring throughout. Sunset Hideaway welcomes you with a nautical New England coast decor. Spacious living area complete with 55” flat screen smart TV, comfortable sectional sofa and three chairs. Plus, a cabinet filled with classic board games, cards, poker, checkers, etc. for your enjoyment. The complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi in case you need to work while you play on your beach vacation. Fully equipped kitchen with new stainless range/stove, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, granite counters, and plenty of storage including a full-size pantry. Most small appliances such as a blender, coffee maker, waffle maker, electric griddle, crockpot, toaster oven, and more. Dining table with seating for 8 is open to living area and kitchen. A nook off kitchen has a modern queen couch. The mattress expands on this sleeper after opening with air for added comfort. The door in this nook has access to a balcony with seating to watch the sunrise while enjoying your morning coffee or tea and listening to the waves. Outdoor dining at its finest with seating for 8 on the large patio while overlooking the fabulous nightly Sunsets, Lazy River pool, and Bay. Additional grills and seating are just steps away at the pool area below. Sleeping Arrangements Master Bedroom – King bed with private full bath & flat screen TV Bedroom 2: Queen bed with private full bath & flat screen TV Bedroom 3: Full bed/ Bunk bed with flat screen TV and shared hall full bath Nook has a queen sleeper couch WRISTBAND POLICY The Property Owners Association (POA) at Pointe West collects a wristband fee of $25 per guest for each guest over the age of 4 (children younger than 4 do not pay) for use of the Beach Club and Sunset Pools during your stay at Pointe West. This is a onetime fee during your stay, not a daily fee. No wristbands are required to enjoy the beautiful beaches at Pointe West this fee is only for use of pools, fitness center, and other amenities. A reservation has been made in your name for your rental period at Pointe West. The wristbands are available at the Beach Club reception every day during business hours (9-5 off season, 9-6 peak season). The physical address for the Beach Club is 4161 Pointe West Drive, Galveston, TX. 77554. You do not have to purchase a wristband to enjoy the restaurant/bar at Pointe West. Your reservation will allow you to receive a temporary band to enjoy this business amenity. PLEASE NOTE: RESTAURANT IS CLOSED ON MONDAY'S DURING THE SPRING/SUMMER TO RESTOCK AND CLEAN AFTER LABOR DAY UNTIL OCTOBER 30, RESTAURANT IS CLOSED ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY THE RESTAURANT AND GIFT SHOP ARE CLOSED FROM NOVEMBER 1-MARCH 1 EVERY YEAR FITNESS CENTER, GAME ROOM AND POOLS ARE OPEN YEAR ROUND THE SUNSET POOL ON THE BAYSIDE OF POINTE WEST IS HEATED FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT YEAR-ROUND. THE BEACH CLUB POOL IS NOT HEATED AS IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO KEEP AN INFINITY POOL WARM. BOTH POOLS HAVE LARGE HOT TUBS FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT.

We love the convenience of the pools, the beach, the sunsets, and the very large balconies where I can sit and watch my family. We started coming to this complex 7 years ago and come back every year. Linda and MaryAlice are excellent hosts and extremely responsive.

We love Pointe West! This property is perfect for anyone who enjoys just hangin out together. Sitting together around the large table on the balcony, bbq and games just outside the condo by the pool area, playing in the pool just steps from the condo, game time in the living space, and puzzles in the dining room are some of the activities you'll find here. It's an easy drive or walk to the beach, which is great for all ages to enjoy. We had a couple of delays on arrival time and the property managers were so nice and bent over backward to help us. I can't say enough nice things about them. I highly recommend this property.

Beautiful property. A distance from the roar of Galveston but I’m not walking so it turned out to be a good thing. Gulf close by and a pool out the back door! A little piece of heaven on earth!

Good location, nice place.. Four issues that should be corrected. 1. Elevator didnt work at any time during our stay. Not acceptable on 4 floor condo. 2. We hope the silverfish didnt come home with us. 3. The master closet and entry coat closets were both locked, so we had no place to hang our clothes. 4. Soap, conditioner, and body wash dispensers in showers were all empty.

We came in from Arkansas, Louisiana and North Houston for this annual trip and we’re so happy we chose this condo. Mary Alice was very responsive every step of the way and any questions we had were answered and addressed immediately. The property is well appointed, well maintained and very comfortable. Would definitely love to return!

We have stayed at 8 or 9 different condos at Pointe West, but this one became our absolute favorite! it has it ALL! It has the best interior design, gorgeous! Looks like a million bucks! Has everything you could possibly need inside. The owners left us this very charming gift basket with goodies in it, what an exciting thrill! Top of the line bedding and comfort! PERFECT location and BEST VIEW!! You get an extraordinary view of the bay and can also see the Gulf from the other side, what?? Amazing! And you are RIGHT next to the Lazy River pool and hot tub, best situation at the resort right here!
The owners were so attentive, we were blown away! We couldnt be happier with our stay, and will definitely stay specifically at this condo from now on, we found our home away from home!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful condo with gorgeous sunset views of the bay and lazy river pool. We enjoyed the resort amenities including the infinity pool at the beach club and the lazy river pool by the bay. We would definitely stay here again.

This is our family's second end of summer stay at this property. Once again, we were delighted with the cleanliness and how well maintained everything was. There are so many places to choose from when staying on the island but this location truly is a gem. The 2 patios, one overlooking the gulf and the other the bay afford beautiful sunrise and sunset view. The lazy river pool and hot tub are just steps away. This is our place to unplug, relax and recharge. Looking forward to next year.

This is our second stay at this condo and we really enjoyed it again. We had two adults and two children in the condo, so we had more than enough room. We could easily add another family of three to the group.
We choose to stay in a condo so we can prepare our own meals; however, there was no frying pan/skillet. To make eggs in the morning, we had to use a pot. It would be nice to have the pots & pans updated. Otherwise, the kitchen is fully functional. There are three full bathrooms; however, the drainplugs didn't work in two of the bathtubs, so our kids just used one bathroom. Also, the hot water doesn't work in the primary bathroom. The handle turns a full 360 so it doesn't appear to be connected to the waterline. Again, we just used a different tub since there were other options. However, if it we had another family with us, it would be been a bit trickier.
Overall, we enjoy this property and it's management very much. We had one question about the code access and they answered as soon as I called and addressed my question immediately. If we plan another trip, we'd be more than happy to stay at tis property again.

Perfect Spot Condo!
We can’t say enough great things about the condo. The location and view was perfect. Sunset Hideaway is a great name! The Beach Club perks hit the spot with the kiddos, and the restaurant was delicious! The condo itself was decorated great and we all felt comfortable. We will definitely be back.

Family getaway
Our family usually makes several trips to the area throughout the year. This was a first to stay at a condo on a resort. We loved it. Beach during the day, pools in the evening. The house was wonderful, comfy beds, plenty of towels, very clean and just all around great. We had a blast and will definitely book here again.

My parents had flown in from England a couple of days earlier to visit with us and the grandchildren so we had a large age group , we all had a wonderful time, the apartment was clean , comfortable and tastefully decorated. Wonderful Vacay Spot!!
We loved staying at this condo!! It over looks the sunset pool, which is our favorite, and you get the BEST sunsets from the balcony!! The balcony has lots nice seating!! Inside is a dream! It’s decorated so beachy and everything is super comfy! The kitchen had all the essentials we needed and even had a welcome basket with a few things like paper goods, dishwasher/laundry pods, and baggies! The only thing I would change is the lighting on the balcony. There are 2 fun, color changing lights but it doesn’t provide enough light so we never set out there after dark. It wasn’t a big deal and We will absolutely stay here again and again. The owners are super prompt in replying and they send plenty of prep and post messages so you can be ready before hand and so you know what to do for checkout. Thanks for a fabulous time!!!

Relaxing Family Vacation
Property was great! We enjoyed the time spent at the resort. We did move some of the furniture around, it was the right head height for our 1 year old grandson. He loved the balcony and watching the birds and trying to throw things off. :) Only complaint was that the elevator wasn't working when we arrived on May 25th evening and with an infant we had a lot of extra items. It started working when we were leaving which made the luggage easier to load. We will definitely be back.

Great stay
This property is spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The location is perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle of the other end of the seawall. You have views of both the Gulf and the bay. The back balcony is a perfect spot to drink coffee in the morning and watch folks fish in the bay. The living area has great seating and tasteful beach decor. The bedrooms are large and comfortable. I highly recommend this property for a relaxing get away. Can't wait to visit again.

Cousins Reunion 2022
The condo is perfect for a family gathering ! Unfortunately the Lazy River was closed during our entire stay secondary to an unforeseen accident, but we made the best of our time nonetheless ! The Infiniti pool at beach club was a short ride away in our golf cart .. comfortable beds and 3 full baths, ample kitchen to cook in for Easter ! Location is a good distance away from Galveston proper, but we knew this at booking; had to make the drive in at least once for dinner at Gaidos !

Great Condo & Great Area
We stayed over a long weekend in January with our family. We had more than enough space in the condo with the two separate seating areas with sofas (and TVs for those so inclined to watch). The condo was very clean when we arrived and we appreciated the basket with a few essentials (coffee, laundry and dishwasher pods, etc.). This condo is particularly well located with both bay and ocean views. We enjoyed the heated pool on the bay side (the lazy river is not heated). However, we had to head to the Beach Club for the hot tub as the bayside hot tub was broken. The Beach Club has a fun game room for the kids and a large hot tub that we also enjoyed. There are many access points to the beach as well. If we had stayed longer, a golf cart rental would be been beneficial, but for the long weekend (and the cold!) we just hopped in my car to cross over to the beach where there was ample parking. Overall, we were very happy with this space and would definitely rent it again.

We had the best time during our stay in this wonderful home! We had two families with two preteens and a teenager. There was never a dull moment for anyone with the heated lazy river and pool area we overlooked. Everyone also enjoyed walking along the beach, playing in the waves, and challenging one another to games in the game room. The location is peaceful and away from the busy locations, but still just a short drive to all the local eateries. We enjoyed the well stocked home and the owners were wonderful to work with. Our families would definitely recommend staying here to everyone for relaxation, recharging, and lots of fun!
