If there was a heaven on earth, I am pretty sure Tanah Marah comes close to that description. Where do I even start? First of all, the view when you open your chalet facing the pristine and beautiful lake in the morning sunlight along with the smell of fresh grass definitely takes away stress and brings you back to Nature.
Secondly the support and friendliness of the host, especially Lindy and Lucy. Of course the fury support friends Panda, Annie and Milly. I never had a pet in my life, but the fury friends will make you felt like you had them your whole life. There is a stream of activities that will keep you in touch with nature. Might it be running, kayaking in the lake, feeding the sheeps and cows or just hiking. You can also see kangaroo and other wild animals.
Truly a testament of great hospitality and great Australian nature. 3 days 2 nights were too short for our family at the end. Would come back to this place 100% if we are ever back In Margaret River. I would highly suggest anyone visiting the area to book Tanah Marah in a heartbeat!
Truly nothing, everything was lovely. Only issue if you canât fully âdisconnectâ from the world. There is no service in the chalet itself but thereâs is a 24hr quick Wi-Fi in the visitor Center. Hence not suitable if you canât truly âdisconnect â . I actually loved it as it forced me to disconnect and truly just enjoy the experience. Something I didnât experience since I was young.

We love the facilities they provide. From a private outdoor fireplace, bbq, bathrobe to the communal entertainment like golf, fireplace, kayak, boat, paddleboard, library, gym. They really does make a huge difference. Thereâs so much to do!
Not the most comfortable bed or shower head but it wasnât a big deal. Just being picky

huge, beautiful , serene, a great getaway. oasis in middle of no where. friendly and sincere hosts, access to sheep, cows and beautiful dogs.
a long drive into the forest, will be better if roads are better developed but not a major issue.

The location of this beautiful property was perfect. Very secluded amongst the forest, yet only 5 minutes from the centre of Margaret River. The accommodation was great for a family of four with two separate wings either side of the main living area. The hosts were so lovely to deal with (even when we locked ourselves out of the cabin!)
The only negative to this property is the 2km unsealed road. Had we known about this, we would have bought a different car.

what you have there as a concept is exceptional. the chalets are really nice, huge spaces, big bbq and patio and well equipped for a full week. Farm and nature around guarantee peaceful time. 3km black (red) road offers enough wildlife.
while I value the remoteness, it is hard to live nowadays without at least descent mobile coverage. My wife has no coverage on Vodafone, while on Telstra I had barely some 3G which made having WhatsApp calls difficult. (wifi available only at reception).

Exceptional resort with own lake and own golf course and very spacious cottages. Very nicely located in the forrest 5 min drive from Margaret River.
Linda and her family are great hosts that took perfectly care of us. Always very friendly and helpful and even gave us Christmas decorations to celebrate Christmas Eve and a nice basket full of presents from local suppliers. Can only recommend this place - especially for families.
Wifi and mobile reception is quite poor in the cottages - but good if you like to relax ;)

It was one of our best stays ever - great scenic views and lots of activities for the little ones - they got to feed cows and sheep and had a go Marron fishing.
Our chalet overlooked a beautiful lake, and Tanah Marah is relatively close by to Margaret River town, Yallingup, and Busselton.
Rory, Linda, and Lucy are great hosts and took great care to make sure we had all we needed and took us on a little tour around the estate and learnt about nature.
We would love to stay here again!
We belong to the "hard mattress camp", so the soft beds that some people prefer were not our favourite!

Friendly hosts who were very helpful showing us around the beautiful property and during power outage. Good quality bedding, linen, throws, bathrobe and shower facilities. The sunblock was a very thoughtful touch. Gas stove for BBQ is east and convenient as well.
No reception at all with Vodafone so not possible to contact hosts when during the power outage. Fortunately Optus works at times and the hosts did drop by on several occasions to check in on us.

A beautiful estate in Margaret river perfect for family adventures. The self sufficient estate is 2km off the highway in the middle of lush forest. Your chalet by the lake is perfect for a family of 5 or two couples out on a holiday. The chalets are luxurious with a TV connection and a collection of dvds to borrow from. The family run estate will have Linda or Lucy always at hand to help. You can take little trails within the estate or Lucy will be happy to take you for a tour on the electric buggy

This is a beautiful property run by very lovely people. We had a tour of the property and the kids got to feed the cows and sheep. The chalets are roomy and comfortable. The location was perfect being a very short drive to town. If I were to come back to this area I would love to stay here again.
Better phone/network service would have been great but it is a rural area so is out of their control.

My family had a wonderful time in Tanah Marah. Linda, Rory and Lucy were wonderful hosts who showed us around the property. My daughter loved feeding the cows and exploring the property. The chalets were clean, very spacious and equipped with everything we needed including a full functioning kitchen. The property is gorgeous and I would definitely come back again!

Liked everything!! The hosts were great, location beautiful, and the villa equipped with everything we needed. Kids loved rowing the boat in the lake and feeding the sheep.

Everything was perfect! Beautiful house, gorgeous view, amazing hosts, the most adorable dog Pandora, my kids still talking about her. We had a memorable stay and we wish we could stay for longer.

Chalets were amazing complete with everything you could ever need, very comfy, spacious and clean. Location is perfect, so much to do as well as just completely relax surrounded by nature. Owners were so friendly and welcoming.
