Judy & Michael were excellent hosts. Exceptional attention to detail. Made our stay very comfortable from luxurious bedding sheets, studio amenities, water/outdoor activity amenities readily available. Great location. Stay was perfect from beginning to end. Highly recommend and would book again when visiting Kona.

Judy & Michael are the best hosts. Beautiful property. Safe and quite place to rest your head. Looking forward to our next stay there. Close drive to eating, beach and town. Place was clean and the homemade banana bread was amazing along with all the nice fruit. The two small dogs are very friendly. Felt at home.

Judy and Michael and their cute puppies were so very friendly and accommodating. Sometimes we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. It was also nice to visit with them. Our stay on the island was just more relaxing and carefree because of our stay in their home away from home.

This adorable place was more than what we expected. We were welcomed so kindly by Judy, Michael, and the cutie dogs. We felt at home and was a place so clean, peaceful, and has all the extra necessities. We loved our homemade banana bread, fruits, and hearing the birds in the morning. The garden is beautiful. The house is conveniently located near restaurants, beaches, & shopping area. It is in a safe and quiet neighborhood. We wish we could have stayed longer for vacation but we are looking forward to come back again.

While it had everything I needed and then some it was not as private as I had expected. Also be aware of the stairs you will need to go up and down every time you come/go.

This is a nice unit with a private entrance in the lower level of a private home. Beautiful yard, nice hosts and friendly dogs. They have water gear to use such as beach chairs, boogy boards, masks/snorkels, etc. The only downside is there is no air conditioning in the unit. There is a ceiling fan and multiple windows that open however.

Judy and Michael are excellent and kind hosts who did everything they could to make our stay pleasant. They had beach and snorkel gear, fresh fruit from their backyard (bananas and mangos), and coffee and cold drinks available upon our arrival.
The ohana flat has outdoor chairs that look out on their beautiful and quiet backyard (great for morning coffee and evening cocktail).
While the space is not large, it is perfect for a couple, and well-situated between Kailua and Kealakekua. Very convenient!

This was my second stay here and it was great. The suite was peaceful, clean, and had great views of the backyard. Location was great close to the beach. Our hosts were amazing as usual as well. Would love to come again in the future.

We loved our stay here for 3 nights! It’s very clean and comfortable and there are so many lovely touches - delicious banana bread, fresh fruit, snorkeling and beach equipment, etc. The location is perfect for going to downtown Kona. We will definitely be back here the next time we’re in Kona!

The generosity of the owners is amasing. They were so helpful not only during my arrival but for the whole time of my stay.

Very cozy, pleasant and home-like stay. Michael and Judy are the amazing hosts. They have also provided all the gears which we need at the beach. Studio has all the facilities we need. Really loved staying at this place and would always prefer to come to the same cottage next time.

Judy and Michael are amazing host, our stay was exceptional. They had extra fruit to share and great suggestions for places to visit or stop by. These two are very humble and kind people. If you choose their property you will be pleasantly impressed.

It was really great to stay there. The condo has all required things and has a beautiful garden. Your own small paradise in the paradise. We also liked the fruits out of the garden, we were allowed to pick and which got provided to us at the welcome.
And it is located a little outside of the life and traffic of the Ali'i, so it is silent and a good place to relax.
I would recommend it always to friends and would always book it again.
Thanks for the great stay!!!

The studio was very clean and comfortable. The room was beautifully decorated with many personal touches. The fridge was even stocked with drinks and water. We loved the tasty homemade banana bread and fresh fruit! We felt very welcome upon seeing our names on the chalkboard upon arrival. The private entrance was convenient, and the backyard was very inviting.
Michael and Judy were outstanding hosts. They helped with attractions and dining suggestions. They provided many items for the beach etc that we were unable to bring along on the plane. They were warm and friendly and made us feel so much at home. We would highly recommend this rental.

My solo stay at Michael and Judy's studio for 9 days during the Ironman World Championship could not have been better. It was a perfect home base for an active week: from the private back yard with fruit trees and a peek-a-boo view of the ocean, to the fresh banana bread, comfortable bed, kitchen with all the necessities, and easy access by car to town. Michael and Judy provided help and ideas for exploring Hawai'i, and were kind and friendly hosts. I would stay again!

A terrific place to stay with friendly and accommodating hosts. Quiet, ignoring the occasional rooster, neighborhood. We will probably stay there again.

Nicest hosts we ever had. Thoughtful details everywhere from beach gear to amazing banana bread, various teas, fruit juices, even fresh flowers. We felt right at home.
Would definitely come again.

What can I say about this place except that it is perfect. Judy and Michael are two of the kindest people on the planet and they really put in the work to make their rental perfect for their guests. Many extra little details and steps are done to ensure you have a great time. From personalized signage, fresh fruit, drinks and delicious banana bread. They are also always available for suggestions or assistance.
Would reccomend to anyone!

The garden was beautiful, as was the studio. It had everything we needed and more, and was so well set-up. Thanks for the worry-free vacation :).

This is a great place to stay for 1 or 2 people. The owners have gone out of their way to furnish just about everything you need for beach and water sports including a cooler. It's location worked great for me being near the town, but not the traffic hassles of the town itself. They provide two fans that keep the room cool. The fresh fruit and baked banana bread are a bonus.

I cant say good enough things about Mike and Judy!! best hosts weve ever had! We stayed 10 nights with them.
When we pulled up we thought we was going to be in a room inside their house and was worried, lol. BUT its in the basement of their house with our own entrance and everything so it was perfect!! They even allowed us to park in their carport so we didnt have to worry about a place to park every time we came back :)
They welcomed us and was so nice. They showed us down to our room, which was very clean and fully stocked with towels-beach towels as well, fresh fruit, beautiful soaps that Judy made, and some AMAZING banana nut bread that Mike made us. They had a cooler, with ice packs, a hot plate, pot and pan, french press for coffe, salt/pepper, electric grill, small fridge (like dorm room size, had a small freezer in it) and bags for the beach for us to use. Literally only needed food. They do have a washer and dryer for you to use as well. They showed us where everything was too. Do know there is no a/c, but they have a ceiling fan and a floor fan and we were cool at night.
They do have puppers that would welcome us every time we came/left and we loved it! (I know some people dont like dogs, so do know they have little dogs and they get their loves and they are on their way lol)
They were very informational on places to try and see while visiting. We tried places they recommended and everything was amazing.
They showed up the fruits on their property -none was ripe yet to pick- but still cool to see a pineapple growing along with banana plants. Judy even showed us how to pollinate vanilla beans as well. They were so willing to share their knowledge about the island/plants/etc. Their location is great too. Not too far from Ali'i drive, gas station is close by, about 15 miles from the airport, walmart is about 6 miles away as well.
We are already planning our next trip back and will be staying here again. I will also recommend my friends and family to stay here as well.

The view out the window was spectacular! There was a nice island feel to the unit. Parking in the carport was very accommodating. The hosts were great! Anything we asked for we were able to receive. Only negative was the internet reception. That was the ONLY negative.

Great central location, fabulous hosts, perfect stay!
We had such a great week here! From fresh fruit to what to do tips, Judy & Michael took great care of us! The sweet dog greetings and kisses were a bonus!
The carport for parking was great! It was shaded plus they had extra supplies for the beach in there!
The room was comfortable and the back yard was very enjoyable. Close to town and the warf, stores close by, great beaches both North and South.
Thank you both for a wonderful stay! We really enjoyed our week

Judy and Michael were sensational hosts. Going above and beyond to ensure we had a great trip. The property was clean and tastfully decorated with a relaxed island vibe without being over the top. We loved being greeted by the pups everyday and the banana cake was such a lovely surprise. They made it so easy to enjoy our beach days with snorkeling gear, beach chairs and towels. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Judy and Michael were awesome when we stayed with them. We love the place and their tropical house with various kind of fruits for us to pick. Not only they provided everything we needed throughout our entire stay, Michael also made this wonderful loaf of banana cake for us when we arrived. They always checked in with us to make sure we had everything. To top it off, their two cute dogs (Kalua & Angelica) were so welcoming every time when we left and came home. Overall, we will definitely go back and stay with them on our next trip to Kona.

Big Island getaway
Judy and Michael both went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Their place is more than just a place to crash for the night. The Studio offered everything I needed and their hospitality surpassed any expectations. They respected my privacy but were also available to connect about anything that came up. They also had good recommendations for activities and restaurants. Their kindness and generosity go a long way! Thanks J & M for a great stay! Hope to see you again soon when I get back to the Big Island!

Wonderful place!
My partner and I stayed for an extended weekend. This place and the owners were absolutely wonderful. They were extremely welcoming, the room is a great little studio with a private outside entrance. When we arrived there was delicious banana bread and tropical fruits from their beautiful garden. They have tons of beach gear available to borrow and the studio is well appointed with everything you’d need. No air conditioning but plenty of fans provided and our stay was really wonderful. They even sent us off with a mango bread, which we enjoyed so much when we got home. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
