Close to Ribamar town, but a bit of a walk to Ribeira d'ilha where most of the surfing happens. However, uber to there is just 3 euro

Rodrigo and Laura are the perfect hosts. We felt very comfortable and the atmosphere in the hostel was like a big shared flat. It felt like a small family and everyone was super respectful. the breakfast was the highlight of every morning. The hostel is located near the beach and you can reach Ericeira easily.

The host was okay. Location was alright..

I had to book a dorm in this hostel. But the group who stayed there had absolutely 0 respect for people sleeping. I went to bed at 9 and woke up at 11.30 because of them talking in full voice in the room. I woke up from my deep sleep and did not sleep the rest of the night. When I asked the to stop they started talking about me in german. I left the property at 7 in the morning since I actually felt bullied. I was sick and really needed a good night of sleep. Also the pillow of the bed was very old and bad quality. After I called with booking what to do since I had booked it for 4 more nights. The owner of the hostel made it sound as if I have been the rude one in the situation. And yes in the morning I was distressed that I had to leave. but there is not any excuus for this behaviour! I get that most people there are very young and maybe do not have any idea how dorms work.. I eventually ended up paying 120 euro for 2 nights of terrible sleep and no breakfast.

The staff was really nice , generous and welcoming and the breakfast was awesome!

"Gundi House" is located in a quiet area not far from Ericeira. Picturesque beaches and ocean views are just a short walk from the house, as well as scenic walking trails along the coast. The house itself is very cozy, nice and clean, with comfortable rooms and everything you need for a pleasant stay. Special thanks to Rodrigo, the owner of the house, for creating an incredibly friendly atmosphere, providing useful tips on interesting pastimes in the area and delicious and aesthetic breakfasts :) I definitely recommend "Gundi House" as a place to stay, relax and enjoy the surrounding nature.

perfect pre-surfing breakfast and lovely prepared from the super nice owner Rodrigo! He was very helpful and we became friends. The whole house is comfy with a big terrace and oceanview. It's quite and relaxing. The kitchen and the fridge have a good size for your own stuff and cooking and a big choice to brew your coffee in one of Rodrigos Bialettis ;-) bathroom was clean with 2 hot showers. also enough space to dry your wetsuit and put the boards in the rack.

The owner (Rodrigo) is really great guy and the accommodation has a nice 'home' feeling. Gundi House was one of our best stays in Portugal because of that! Every morning there is a delicious fresh breakfast. The room is equipped with an electric blind and there is a shared kitchen with a (shared) fridge.

The double bed makes crackling sounds when turning which can be annoying, so we put the mattress on the floor :)
