Wonderful stay - would recommend highly.

It was centrally located, quite charming and a great staff. Very pleased with ability to park inside walls safely. We had lovely breakfasts and everything was close-by.

A pleasant boutique hotel in a lovely town.

Great location close to the main Cathedral. Comfortable walk from the railway station. Very helpful and friendly staff.

We would stay here again since we enjoy the charm that comes with small European

Staff were very accommodating. Breakfast was a good value. The hotel is charming. It is well located for touring Lucca, but don’t expect great views since is located is surrounded by old buildings on a narrow street. But they had nice area to sit in front and enjoy a drink.

not an issue for us but access to the hotel parking was pretty tight and might be a problem if driving a larger car or not confident with width, ie unfamiliar hire car

Wonderful and can't wait to return for a non-work visit.

The room was immaculate, comfortable and beautifully decorated/appointed. Chiara on Reception was delightful to meet and deal with, a very pleasant experience all together.

Superb

Despite the fact that the hotel is historically known, it was very well renovated with also some characteristics left which makes it very charming.

It was a little bit confusing because the picture and the room didn't look the same. I was expecting a balcony and in the end we got a room without a balcony. Nevertheless we are very satisfied with the modern room and the cute wall paintings.

A lovely friendly hotel

The staff at Albergo San Martino were friendly and we were given a warm welcome. Our room was comfortable and clean. We were very happy with their restaurant recommendation for dinner. Breakfast is buffet style with lots to choose from. The location is good for exploring Lucca. They happily kept our luggage for us until our departure so that we could explore without bags.

It was all good although perhaps the shower could have been a bit warmer!

A great place to stay to enjoy all that Lucca has to offer

The hotel is perfectly located inside Lucca’s city walls. We arrived by train so we had no concerns about parking. For anyone planning to do the Mura Di Lucca parkrun (definitely one of the best) this hotel could not be more convenient. The staff were friendly and eager to please and the room we had was very comfortable.

No issues whatsoever.

Wonderful hotel!

Fabulous location! One of the cleanest hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Staff were lovely and so helpful. Room was huge, shower was great. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Excellent location and very quiet

I liked very much that the breakfast had many local products and you could prepare fresh orange juice by yourself! Also cappuccino was prepared freshly when you were asking for it. The room was very spacious and quiet, and the staff was very polite and willing to help!

Very comfortable stay in beautiful surroundings.

The property is walking distance from the train station and was easy to find. Everything in the historic center of Lucca is within walking distance. The hotel had a fantastic continental style breakfast which included the usual meat, cheese, bread, yogurt etc but also offered some of the regional pastries, biscotti etc. The room was spacious, clean and quiet and beautifully decorated. The bed was comfy. There was plenty of hot water and good water pressure in the shower. Very helpful and friendly staff. There is a bar, open to 8pm.

My only suggestion is that it would be nice to have a kettle for tea and coffee in the room.

We stayed in the annexe, which gave us the feeling of complete independence. Perfect for us.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They were happy to speak slowly to help me practise my Italian.

We would have preferred tea making facilities in the bedroom

Nice place. Helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable bed.

Breakfast was fine . Wish the toaster wasn’t broken. Town is small enough that it was easy to get anywhere . Room was nice size. Had a large armoire.

Albergo San Martino is well situated ..... just a stone's throw from the historical centre and five minutes fast walk from the train station. The rooms are bright, spacious and colourful. The hosts were very welcoming and the breakfast was tasty and abundant. What more could you ask for?
