About this house rental
A very comfortable and warm bungalow with beach access to a beautiful beach. The bungalow is just 15 minutes drive south of Dunedin's CBD and 7 mins to the nearest supermarket. The property is safe for children or a pet and is 20 minutes away from the Taieri Mouth fishing village and the scenic Millennium river walking track. Brighton Beach, just 5 minutes driving distance away, is a great surfing beach. Please note that our house is also on this property but we respect guests' privacy. Special conditions: If you are bringing a dog/dogs, the conditions are as follows: Please let us know you are bringing your dog when inquiring or booking. Their own bedding is required Dogs are not allowed on our bedding or furniture. Must be supervised when outside unless tied up as the entire property is not completely fenced 'Doggie doos' must be picked up Extras:

First of all, the hosts Janne & Ray couldn't have been nicer. They allowed us privacy in their nicely appointed guest bungalow, but were available to answer questions and gave us helpful tips on the area. Their property adjoins the ocean and has a beautifully manicured landscape. Just a short drive to Dunedin; lots to see and do in the area. We enjoyed our stay at their "tropical paradise"!

Janne and Ray are the perfect hosts. They made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The cottage was exceptionally well equipped with all the little extra that you never think of when you first arrive.
The property was very clean and well organized with ample storage for all of our gear. There was a washer and dryer in the bathroom and even laundry detergent was supplied. The shower had great water pressure and the bathroom itself had extra storage. The bed was very comfortable and the space in the living room would be ample for four people to sit comfortably. Our unit was fully equipped and self contained; food preparation a breeze with a fridge and stove in the kitchen plus a barbecue outside. There were two very private outside sitting and eating areas. Janne and Ray are enthusiastic gardeners so the outside areas were like a little paradise.
Not far from the cottage, via the private path access, is a beautiful and uncrowded beach on which one can walk for miles and enjoy the Pacific air.
We highly recommend this property to anyone who enjoys a quiet retreat and beachside ambience... and well as wonderful hosts; we would like to visit again!

Janne and Ray are warm and friendly who welcomed us making sure we would be totally comfortable during our stay. The cottage is very clean and homely with a well equipped kitchen. The location was perfect for us. Thankyou for a memorable stay.

Very tidy and have all available amenities in place and have quick access to the beach; very good location and not far to drive to cafes, other beaches, etc. A bit noisy from cars on the road which is just normal and not affected us. Had enjoyed our stay and was able to relax well. Will definitely recommend the place to our friends and relations.

We stayed in the middle of winter, what a warm, cosy, light, modern haven! Everything you could need was right at hand. And the garden was very pretty to enjoy the morning coffee in. Hosts were so helpful, good kind Southern people. Five stars.

It was an ideal set up for our wee family. Such an amazing location with access to a beautiful beach. Very clean unit with excellent facilities to self cater and nice to have a few books and games. A private cosy space to call home for a few days. We will return for sure. Many thanks

Our stay was short, visiting relatives nearby. Ocean View was immaculately presented, many thoughtful extras. Janne was wonderful to have contact with. I thoroughly recommend Ocean View if you are staying in Brighton Beach area.

A lovely place, very bright with many windows. Very spacious for two people and could accommodate another using living room to sleep. Kitchen nicely stocked. We would stay here again

We didn't go for the beach experience, rather we were pushed to the coast because graduation and rugby filled town properties. There was a cold snap which was a shock for us. The batch warmed up so quickly with the heat pump and it had a lovely home vibe.

Lovely stay at this property. Direct access to the beach was a big plus. Beautiful white sand....horses galloping on the beach...idyllic! Could only stay 2 days but would love to have stayed longer. Welcoming, friendly and most importantly, unobtrusive hosts. The cottage itself is just lovely... couldn't have asked for more. Roxy the 14yr old Fox Terrier loved it too. Thanks Janne and Ray.

We had 6 nights with our 9 month old and had everything we needed.
So close to the beach which our dog enjoyed everything morning.
Hosts are lovely and make sure you have all you need and are comfortable.
