Gorgeous property in a fabulous old convent a few miles from the medieval city of Evora. Treat yourself to a relaxing few days at this glorious property. Enjoy the excellent food and wine of the region. Visit the mysterious stone circle at Cromlech Almendras. And don’t forget the fascinating cork “factory” called Circarte about 6 miles from the convent.

The property, in particular the main building which goes back to the 15th century, is truly stunning. Staying in a convent room, having meals in the old wine cellar, and simply walking through the halls and rooms of this historic building was a splendid experience.
The new wing of the property felt a little sparse and sanitized, but I suppose largely because one can’t help but to compare it to the convent itself.

The property is beautiful and conveniently located a short drive from the centre of Evora.
This is a five-star property, but I think it is somewhat over-priced. I paid €299 for the room - a very comfortable room, but really no better than those at a number of four star properties I have stayed at for significantly less. Whilst the food in Divinus was very nice and beautifully served it too, I found a little over-priced. €70.00 a head for nice, but by no means exceptional food is a lot - and with only one glass of wine each.
Also, in a restaurant at a five-star property, I would expect a dress code for dinner and not to see a large number of men in shorts as though recently arrived from the swimming pool. I know everything is now far more casual, but a restaurant in a five-star property with no dress code??

slow servise at restaurant Divinus. waiting time for main course 1 hour, veal steak was cold.

Beautiful and historical. Staff were super friendly.
The hot tub and sauna weren’t very hot, and the steam room didn’t work.

Loved the quiet experience.
Wish it was closer to Evora.

The property itself is a sight to behold. I've never seen anything like it before. It's a true gem. Visually, it's awe inspiring. From the built in church, to the vine cellar, and the general property itself, it's spectacular.
The rooms are quite dated and need a refresh. Not terrible by any means but it's time.

Excellent facility, very big and spacious and luxurious.
Handicapped accessible room needs more grab bars for easier access. The shower room does not have any grab bars and not easily accessible. Additional grab bars in the toilet room would be very helpful.

What’s not to LOVE? …wine tasting (excellent) and tour upon arrival- My husband and I felt so welcome to this beautiful and historic gem. Dinner was elegant and yummy and thoroughly enjoyed the bar and bartender afterwards.
The spa was relaxing and our room was more than comfortable with a great view of the gorgeous grounds. (1,100 yr old olive tree)
Breakfast was expansive and awesome including honey right off the comb.
I could go on and on but will leave a few discoveries for your own stay. ❤️

The food at the restaurant, wasn't worth the high price. And some dishes were really badly made,,
I really didn't appreciate having tomato soup for a $30 dólar main course.
