This place was like a secret escape from daily stress. I immediately felt in love with this little paradise on earth and

Wonderful, groomed, small hotel within a fantastic garden and pool. The atmosphere in the hotel was quite familiar not least because of the very warm and courteous staff taking care of the guests wellbeing at any time! One highlight was the culture & nature trip to the midst of the island experiencing some spectacular waterfalls and transitional handcraft and living of Lombok!

Ein super schönes kleines Resort fernab vom Massentourismus.

Das Segara Lombok ist ein sehr schönes Beach Resort mit einem klasse Team, welches versucht, alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Besonderen Dank an Sahman für die tolle Betreuung und seine Empfehlungen. Lieben Dank auch an Argus, der uns beim Essen bestens betreut hat. Das Essen und die Drinks sind sehr gut und im Segara fühlt man sich einfach von Beginn an wohl und durch die Größe des Hotels familär aufgenommen. Perfektes Resort, um sich zu erholen und verwöhnen zu lassen. Die Kommunikation über what’s app und der Fahrservice zum Selong Belanak hat bestens funktioniert. Ich kann jedem, der Lombok fernab vom Massentourismus erkunden und genießen möchte, bestens empfehlen.

Es wäre schön wenn zum Frühstück weitere Heißgetränke im Preis enthalten wären und nicht nur ein Heigetränk.

We returned a year later and liked it again

We came back here for couple of nights after staying at this hotel a year ago because we really liked it the first time. A good choice, especially with a kid (our daughter is 2,5 and Segara offers a perfect combination of space to run but somehow always stay visible). The owner, Morgan, is very helpful and takes care of the guests. The team is wonderful. The food is good. The rooms aren’t big but are comfi and spotless. The sunsets are amazing. Good vibe. Also we noticed how the area developed in just a year time - so you now have some more options to “go out” for a nice cocktail or eat elsewhere (if you stay many nights this option to change the scene is welcome). In general, highly recommended for the value/price if you are looking for something authentic looking and on the beach

Fabulous small resort in idyllic setting

Beautiful views Elegant, local style decor; lovely gardens Charming, hugely accommodating staff Out-of-this-world food!!! Seriously the best on our Indonesian travels. Nice pool Sound of waves, access to beach Peaceful! Some good day trips on offer - enjoyed Tetebatu (skipped waterfalls to spend more time in village and spotting black monkeys) Watching locals collect sea cockles etc as the tide goes out at dusk (although they do walk on the coral reef . . .)

-Out of way location is a pro and a con - a journey to get anywhere else -Helpful to know in advance that the surfing in front of hotel is for fairly advanced surfers, not suitable for beginners - the beach is lovely, swimming is possible only when tide is right (not a big problem as the swimming pool is lovely). - a bag of freshly washed laundry (by the fab hotel service) was mistaken as rubbish and lost in the room cleaning process. Hotel was very helpful in trying to recover it.

Paradise on the local side of the island!

This resort was the the highlight of our entire trip to Lombok. The staff were incredible. The villa and property was spotlessly clean and well kept. It’s truly a paradise. This should be a model for how to run a resort. Can’t say enough good things. If you are looking for relaxation, sun bathing and delicious food - away from the tourists. This is the place to be!

Nothing - I think the other reviews mentioned that the beach is not a swimming beach. But is a great beach for finding great shells!

beautiful place, very nice staff, just 10 bungalows, so familiar. it is paradise. very remote, no noises. excellent service, excellent excursion (snorkeling at GILI Gede).

not a swimming beach, and quite steep to walk on the beach, not fine sand. no public transport.

Food was perfect. Excellent choice and quality

The situation directly on the beach is nice, the beach itself is sandy, but the sea ground itself is very rocky once you get into the water. Depending also on tides. The free shuttle to the nearby beach in Selong is an excellent compensation, since the fine sand and the good waves there are perfect. Also the pool on site of the villas is very nice.

Really special few days at Segara. The resort has everything you need to kick back and relax. Right on the beach with good surf and it is mostly clean. Friendly staff and an exceptional restaurant make the stay very comfortable.

A super place if you like a quite and relaxing time with excellent and kind personal service

Super location and great bungalows, which are well designed and crafted. Even if the space is small you don't feel cramped. Segara Longbok is small and that makes it a super place if you like a quite and relaxing time with excellent and kind personal service. Amazing beach, which isn't well suited for children to swim. That was no damper to our experience. Segara Lombok provides a free shuttle to the amazing beach Selong Blanak. A ten minute ride brings you to this super beach for everyone, small or big, young and old.

If there would be surfboards available to rent this place would be top notch. There's a stretched out reef for advanced surfing off the beach. But then, most surfers attracted to that come prepared.

The resort far surpassed our expectations. It was brilliant from the staff, the location right on the beach, the comfort (stunning outdoor bathroom), the food. We were in heaven.

Secluded and quiet, very little reason to need to leave

Each bungalow is self contained with a beautiful outdoor bathroom. The bathroom is covered so it can be used when raining. The hotel property isn't big, but everything is laid out well, with the pool and restaurant practically on the beach-front. Food was tasty and value for money, and staff were very helpful.

Occasionally the generator would go out meaning the resort (or maybe just my room/the restaurant) would lose power, but that's probably the most minor thing to be concerned about as it would always be back up in a few minutes. Location-wise it's a little far from the more touristy north part of the island, but it's close to the airport and some other resorts/locations on the south.

This was the NICEST hotel/resort I have ever stayed in anywhere! Just go, it's so beautiful. Ask for a deluxe room with outdoor shower and bath :) Great surfing right on the beach in front of the hotel too!

Immaculate and warm-hearted

Segara Lombok has created a wonderful week for us. The aesthetics of this place are just beyond. You have your cottage, the pool and the beach so close to each other, it is just super easy and relaxing. The service and cleanliness were immaculate- but what was most important for us : this was the kindest staff we ever met. So warm-hearted. We so recommend this place.

The smell of the room was off, we had to leave the doors open to get it to clear out. We think it was the cleaning supplies but not sure.

All round terrific few days. Would recommend.

Right on the beach with sublime backdrops. Wonderful staff. Great menu.

One complaint. Too many day trippers taking up all the space and resources. We couldn’t score a beachside bungalow at any stage because of them. They would often take over the restaurant in large numbers and there was even a nasty dog fight with one of the visitors pet.

Exceptional

The Segara Lombok is truly exceptional. Incredibly beautiful accommodation in a super location. There are only a few bungalows. This makes for a very private and personal atmosphere. The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and approachable. They are all happy to make small talk and tell you about the local culture and the island. Especially Sahman from the reception and Augustin the waiter are super friendly. We talked a lot with Augustin. He gave us insights into the culture, taught us words in his language and told us about his life. With Sahman we did the waterfall tour. We can recommend this tour to all visitors of Segara. Sahman speaks great English and is very friendly. He makes you feel like you are not just a tourist, but rather a friend. The highlight of the tour was lunch at Sahman's home. His wife cooked a typical meal and we got an insight into the family life. It was one of the best experiences in Lombok. Should you travel to Lombok, we definitely recommend the Segara Lombok

Most perfect place

The Segara-Team was always very kind and everything was handeled very professional. They fulfilled every wish we had. It was very clean, nice bungwalos with a amazing bathroom. The location was very quiet and had a chilled atmosphere with a very clean beach infront. All the food we ate was delicious! We would always come back to Segara, it was the best hotel we have ever been to.
