About this house rental

Located in Welaka, this attractive house for $305 per night is a great option for your next break. A great home for a multitude of purposes, such as wedding parties, fishing groups, family reunions, two couples vacationing together, and many more. Why do you ask? This private home is unique because it has a huge master bedroom suite and because of its location it is accessible by water to the St. Johns River, Glen Springs, Welaka Springs, water-front docking dining, fishing, boat slips, fish-cleaning station, covered boat house with outside lounge/sun/shade areas; and not to mention the space that all can enjoy comfortably inside as well. I have a concierge on-site in the guest house to answer all your questions and remedy any problems. Location by Boat Location is about one thousand feet of canal travel to direct access to the St. John's River, which is about 3 minutes from the river. Then, it is 5 minutes to Welaka Springs, 10 minutes to Ocklawaha River, 30-45 minutes to Glen Springs, and 15 minutes from the riverfront dining Renegade's. Rent my pontoon boat for $150 per day or bring your own boat. There is parking for 4 boats. There is also parking for 3-4 boat trailers. Location by Walking Across the street is a small park to walk your pets and see a beautiful sunset over the St. John's River. Location by Driving Free ice at 223 Sportsman Drive, 1-minute drive. Restaurants & Bars: "Shrimps R Us" and "Log Cabin", 3 minutes, "Renegade's" on the water. All three usually have live entertainment on weekends, 4-10 minutes on Highway 309. Fishing Catch fish off the dock as most people catch more fish from the dock than they catch from the boat. You can clean your fresh caught fish in the fish cleaning station equipped with a sink and running water. Boat Slips You can bring up to two twenty-four-foot boats to dock in your backyard. Outside Area There is an outside private 12'x50' waterfront dock with lots of seating and a large sunshade and dining area. The 12'x30' screened porch has two comfortable Tommy Bahama wicker chairs and a Tommy Bahama comfortable wicker couch. There is a glass dining table that seats four. The water view and easy access to the backyard and dock area make for a great social gathering. Private Parking The driveway can park nine cars. Trailers are allowed. Inside the Separate Owner's Guest House Suite Inside the Main House 16 years ago, this home was custom-built as a vacation home for a multi-millionaire, and its true quality shows. Guests are sure to enjoy a memorable vacation in this fully furnished, four-bedroom/2-bath home. Bedrooms The main/master bedroom has a king-sized bed, while the remaining two rooms are each furnished with queen-sized beds, dressers, chests, and nightstands and are comfortable for two people in each bedroom. The fourth bedroom has two twin beds. Living Room The large living room is furnished with extremely comfortable furniture. I have just replaced the couch and loveseat with ones that have four reclining seats. An excellent setting to watch a 72-inch big-screen TV with Amazon Prime and Netflix. Board games and an assortment of reading materials are available for book exchange. The Kitchen The kitchen is equipped with luxury appliances, dishes, accessories, gadgets, pots, and pans that a gourmet chef could ask for. The kitchen is perfect for informal dining with a four-person breakfast bar and high-top chairs. There is a semi-formal dining room that seats eight or more when you add leaves to the table. There is a gas and charcoal grill that will please the most particular griller.

Jim was a gracious host. The house was large and well-outfitted for our family. The street location was nice with a canal in the back and view of the St. John's across the street. However, I didn't go far on foot before the surrounding area became quite sketchy. My mom said there were bollweevils in the cupboard, though I didn't see anything. I did see some mold in the fridge and on the counters which happens when you live near the water. Just wish it was cleaned up. Other than that, it was terrific.

This was a great spot for our biannual men’s fishing trip. This was our first stay here, sought it out after outgrowing a previous place after 3 stays up the river. This place has plenty of space that accommodated 8 men comfortably. Well-equipped and host was real responsive. The area seemed to be nice, prime location in regards to some of our favorite fishing spots. Would stay again.

Beautiful place with water ways that takes you to the many springs and lakes. Quiet getaway with many amenities in a secluded location. Awesome place to spend time with family and friends away from the hectic daily live.

We loved this house, it was perfect! From the size and location to the details - fishing poles, fire pit, outside seating, hammock - everything was wonderful and perfect for a small or large get-together. Highly recommend!

We spent most of our time fishing off the covered Dock in the back yard canal. Caught enough fish to feed 6 to 8 people. Did we have a good time? Hell ya we did.

Dispute a slight delay in checkin, this is a fantastic property! Beautiful, spacious house with great outdoor amenities. A family reunion in Welaka caused us to rent this location that sleeps 10. Pet friendly, roomy thru-out and a fantastic laundry room. Great screened in porch, fire pit & covered dock area with swing and hammock. Would highly recommend this beautiful home to friends & family for large groups or small.

Very relaxing. Family in the area. Great food and dining places. Our niece and nephew live in the area and brought us golf carts. We did not get in the car except to go to Church on Sunday !!!! Home away from home atmosphere. We love sitting on the porch. The weather was great.

Very clean, nicely set up house. Water was high but we didn't let it bother us, fish didn't bite like they normally do, but we had a blast anyways. Now we are looking forward to coming back in the spring . Thanks Mr. Jim for keeping this place so nice and reasonably price. Signed the Alaqua Boys

We were shocked at how much more beautiful the property was than the pictures. The house is beautifully furnished, super clean, and there's so much room!! The pontoon boat is older and looks a little weathered but runs great. Our family of 7 had a blast and would definitely stay here again!!

We were in town for my daughters wedding. This was a beautiful well kept home, with screened in porch and lots of room to park. The boat rental was a bonus even though we only had 1 day available to use. We all want to plan just a relaxing long weekend to enjoy the whole area without wedding events. Thank you to the owner and the on-site manager and her pups. Love love love.
