Nos encantó el hotel

Volví a cali un par de días y me quedé en este hotel. Me encantó. Todo muy bien pensado y la ubicación genial. Nos ayudaron dándonos la habitación antes de tiempo por nuestro largo viaje. Fue encantador

Muy acogedor

El hotel está muy ubicado, cuenta con restaurantes muy variados, cuenta con un coworking muy cómodo y agradable para trabajar si así se requiere, la suit con balcón es muy espaciosa, muy bien amoblada para una corta o larga estancia, el balcón de muy buen tamaño y una excelente visual para estar durante diferentes horas del día. Definitivamente una habitación y lugar muy acogedor.

Best hotel in Cali, we loved our stay here.

The beds are super comfy and the atmosphere is great. If I ever go back to Cali I would stay at Hotel el penon.

We had the best time at Hotel el penon. I was in Cali for one night with my wife and we were not sure where to stay. We picked this hotel and it did not disappoint.

Disappointed.

Honestly didn’t stay long enough to find any positives.

I was traveling for work. Room on 3rd floor street side with a lot of local traffic. Noise was terrible with traffic and conversations happening on the street level. Went to check out the next day to move hotels. I understand we where charged for that night but they also charged us an additional night saying it was a penalty for leaving early. My company suggested this motel and based on the pictures of the hotel on Booking it looked fine. The pics on booking are not an accurate depiction of the property. We were tied up over an hour to try and resolve the bill. Finally gave up because we had a driver waiting on the street to take us to the new hotel. Decided to cut our loses and move on.

Lovely small modern design hotel suitable for even longer stay

Very nice small modern design hotel. Located in walking distance from historical areas. Very good breakfast, but I would say too small portions for hungry people. I was absolutely happy about the spacious and bright room which allows you to stay in (and still feel good and comfy) even though there is a bad weather outside. Very spacious bathroom and shower as well. Hotel is ideal for solo travelers or couples with young spirit. Very helpful staff, but don´t expect perfect English (it´s better to have translation app ready). Very good WiFi connection everywhere in the hotel. I was staying there just for two nights, but I can imagine my self to stay there even for longer.

Rooms are unfortunately not that soundproof as I expected, I could here noise from the hallway (especially in the evening when people are drinking until late hours). It´s not possible to open the window in the room, but at the end it´s not needed as there is a good aircon in the room.

Superb

Beautiful hotel with big and comfortable rooms. Comfortable bed. Great location. Great breakfast with outdoor seating. Had a great stay here and would absolutely recommend.

The air in the rooms were a bit stuffy and my parents room had a light smell of damp.

Stylish, comfortable and well-located

The rooms are attractive, large and comfortable (including the mattresses and pillows!). Great hot showers. The neighborhood is great—so many restaurants within easy walking distance, and we felt comfortable exploring into the evening (though we were never out very late). The San Antonio neighborhood is also an easy 10-minute-ish walk. If you are sensitive to sound, ask for an interior room. We stayed here at the start and end of our trip, and the first room was an interior room and very quiet. When we came back at the end of our travels, we were given a room that faced the street and it was very noisy (not helped by the fact that it was a Friday night, and it's a lively neighborhood). The next morning, the staff graciously accommodated our request to change rooms (and luckily there was a quieter one available) and that night we slept like logs. This is really a lovely place to stay and an exceptional value. If I was going back to Cali, I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

The street-facing rooms are quite noisy and could benefit from better windows to help with soundproofing.

Very bad place

Very bad do not recommend. Check in is very long 20 minutes The room is very noisy, near the road, bars and restaurants. No hand soap No hooks for towels No clothes hangers No cutlery, cups, spoons. Netflix and Youtube not working. In a deluxe room, 70% of the room is occupied by a corridor, it is not clear why it is needed) The room is very dark and gloomy, obviously not enough lighting. By the way, here you will not see beautiful white numbers as in the photo, it is very dark like in a cave. There are bars and restaurants downstairs, all the smell from cooking goes up to your room, it's disgusting. The mattress in the room is like water, absolutely no rigidity.

Fantastic!

Absolutely brilliant hotel. Our room was really spacious, clean and had all the amenities we could ask for including a smart tv, fridge and coffee machine. The shower was the best I’ve had in Colombia! The staff were super attentive, especially Fernando, thank you for being a great host. The area felt really safe and there are great bars and restaurants all around and even three on the ground floor of the hotel. We would highly recommend staying at Hotel El Peñón and hopefully we can visit again.

they didn't have computers to use for. the bathroom of the room was a bit dirty as well room was noisy.

Perfect place to stay

We had a great time staying at this hotel. The Deluxe Suite was spacious, comfortable and always clean. The staff were super friendly, kind and helpful to our every need. The location is safe and full of restaurant options. Would definitely stay there again. Many regards to Fernando, and all the staff. Thank you!!

The best value, well located and friendly hotel

Location is excellent, hotel is well renovated, the staff is one of the most friendly I have meet at any Cali hotel (and Cali has a really good service service). Breakfast is great too.

Beds are not bad, but either comfy if you sleep with your couple (bouncy and a little hard mattress)
