Best staff and enjoyable time

The staff are incredible and will go out of their way to help however they can. There is a relaxed feeling there with a lovely garden. Excellent breakfast. Good location and clean. I advise everyone to stay here.

Hotel is fine

It was very clean and the bed was very comfy. The Garden was big and nice. The breakfast was amazingly good 👍🏽

The Internet in Room 11 was really bad on the cellphone, and on the TV, I almost couldn't lock youtube or look at Instagram. In the garden it was good but it's really cold in the evening. For the price, this was a little bit annoying.

It's a gem in Arequipa

Nice and comfortable rooms, good breakfast and proximity to major sights. The garden is well designed and particularly enjoyable. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

A great place to stay in Arequipa

Fantastic place. Friendly staff, comfortable room albeit a little small. Good breakfast. Great coffee. Good location. The main square was a couple of blocks away. Security was very good as well.

Laundry service was quite bad. My clothes were still dirty when they came from the laundromat. To their credit though, they did rewash the clothes. It says on the website that guests staying 2 or more nights at the hotel could get a complimentary city tour. I stayed 2 nights, this wasn't even mentioned to me.

Superb

All the staff were great. Really good brekkie, with option of taking it in the garden. Very comfortable room.

Minor gripe about being charged for early check-in, when rooms obviously available, only 30 soles, but it's the principal.

Very nice and quiet hotel with the nicest garden!

We loved the spacious room with netflix and the quiet garden to have breakfast and relax. We even got a free upgrade because we preferred a room not on the ground floor. The staff is very friendly! It is located on walking distance of the center of Arequipa.

We had to pay for an early check-in although the room was ready an the hotel was not fully booked. But I guess you will have that everywhere since most of the tourists are coming by night bus and want to be in the room asap so they know that most of them are just going to pay.

Idyllic place to explore Arequipa

It's the perfect location to explore Arequipa. Rooms are spacious in a quiet environment. The breakfast is of good quality. The staff have a positive mindset, ready to help you when needed.

Superb

The facilities, lot of green areas and places to seat and enjoy the weather.

Well there were not so many options for breakfast. I couldn't even get the eggs as it had finished.

Enjoyed our one night stay

I loved the courtyard to eat breakfast and relax in the sun. They also have a cooking class located onsite which was great. The staff are all very friendly!

Ok hotel, nothing great, with a good location, pictures paint a nicer place than it is

I stayed two nights in this hotel in two different rooms. the second room was a bit nicer than the first one. less noise, more modern. but still pictures are way nicer than the hotel really is

the hotel is ok, nothing to make a good remark. the check out was a bit weird, my reservation wasn’t in the system and I had to tell the person in the reception how much to charge me. while my taxi to the airport was waiting outside.

Good location, big open spaces but too noisy

it has a good location

pictures seem nicer than the hotel really is. we could hear noise from the street, construction site and people walking and talking outside our room. room was a bit outdated

Room was excellent, staff all very friendly and helpful. And the breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. And lots of places around the garden and terraces to relax. Couldn't fault the hotel.

Casa de Avila is a real gem. Would definitely go back

The property is in walking distance to the Plaza de las Armas. It is a beautiful building with a courtyard garden. It also has a roof terrace with a beautiful view to the surrounding mountains. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. They were very helpful with any questions we had. the property was well maintained and very clean.

If there is anything, I would say the restaurant could be a little bid more organized. We had dinner there and it took the staff a long time to process the order. it got more confusing as more guests came. However, we had time and it didn’t really matter to us. The food was tasty

The perfect place to stay in Arequipa!

I loved Casa de Avila! Arrived very early on an overnight bus and was greeted by Juan, a gorgeous ray of sunshine. For a reasonable fee, I was able to access my room straight away, which was exactly what I needed after a sleepless night. The rooms are clean, comfortable and modern. The English speaking reception staff are all exceptional and eager to help in any way. There's a gorgeous courtyard decked out with tables and comfortable seating to enjoy breakfast and just hang out when you need some down time. It's about 10 mins walk to the main square and there's a great restaurant next door if you don't feel like venturing out. This is the perfect place to stay.

Lovely and comfortable hotel

The hotel itself has lots of nice areas to relax and a great buffet breakfast, and is in a very quiet area but only a short walk to the central plaza. The room and the beds were very comfortable and the shower was consistently warm and with good pressure. The staff were very nice and made an effort to get up early for us to check in when we arrived early and helped us to book one of the tours they have available. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Very good

This hostel was beautiful and the staff was very kind. We had a lovely room, warm water and even a hair dryer. We even got a good restaurant recommendation. The bed was also pretty comfortable, we were very happy.

There was nothing really that we didn't like about our stay.

Nice little B&B, close to the center of the city easy walking distance.

Lovely little B&B with a beautiful courtyard. Very friendly welcoming staff, great location to walk into the center. Had no hot water which the staff rushed to sort out.

Ad stated dinner, there is no dinner at this hotel, The room was very dark and cold.

Superb

The service is way better than the more central hotels we stayed. The staff is kind, smiley and helpful. They gave us detailed instructions ahead of time, sent us Whatsapp communications and helped us arrange a reliable taxi. It garden is large and beautiful. We enjoy a lot having breakfast and bathing sunshine in the garden.

Room and bathroom are kinda small.

Casa de Avila is the only place I'll stay in Arequipa!

Everything was terrific at Casa de Avila! The location to Plaza de Armas, the room and garden, the breakfast, and the staff went above and beyond to help me feel welcomed and cared for during my stay. I will absolutely be staying here again and have told all my family and friends about Casa de Avila. So if you're looking for welcoming people, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast, and a great location, Casa de Avila is your spot! Thanks to everyone there for helping me during my stay!

very good hotel in Arequipa

very nice hotel only 10 minutes walking to the plaza de armas. the hotel staff was very friendly and the service excellent. breakfast was good. you could have it outside in the garden, where it was also possible to relax. thank you for the nice stay!

The garden is very relaxing and peaceful. The breakfast buffet has more choice than in other hotels we stayed.

It really depends on which room you get because some rooms are smaller with an older interior than other rooms.
