This is the very reason we created Hakuna Matata Villa. The house was born from the dream of creating the perfect affordable vacation retreat in the unique scenery of the Turks and Caicos Islands. Hakuna Matata Villa is a modern 3 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms villa - with private pool - located on Long Bay hill. It has been designed for water sports enthusiasts, families or group of friends, wishing to enjoy the perfect beaches, water and weather conditions that the Turks and Caicos Islands offer year round. We are located minutes away (less than 1 mile) from one of the most beautiful and uncrowded beach in the world: Long Bay beach. This beach is a world renowned swimming, kite boarding, paddle boarding and windsurfing spot. The giant swimming pool of the Caicos Bank features miles of shallow warm turquoise water that offer a unique playground for unforgettable vacations.

We had a great time staying at this beautiful home. It has many of the amenities needed to enjoy TCI. It was very clean and inviting. The pool was especially enjoyable and convenient. There were only 4 of us, but the following would be my rants had we been more:
It should have had more beach chairs - we could only find 2 - and pool lounge chairs - there were only 3 - and NOT charge an additional fee if the A/C is used - this was sprung on us when checking in. FYI - If you advertise the property includes A/C, then don't attempt to charge more if used.
If the property can accommodate seven persons for sleeping as advertised, it should accommodate at least 4 in regards to amenities, e.g., pool and beach chairs.
Even with these downsides, I'd stay here again!

Liked the 2 bedroom master layout. 2 of 3 showers were outside and had low water pressure. Very private and quiet location which was nice!

This Villa was wonderful!! We stayed there from Christmas day through New Year Eve day. A fully decorated Christmas tree greeted us as we entered the Villa as well as Christmas decorations which was so lovely as we have never been away for Christmas! Hope had candy canes and a tin of cookies for us as well. The villa is peaceful, clean, modern & had everything we needed to have an amazing vacation! It's closest to Long Bay beach, so we checked that out one day and were able to see the kite boarders which was very cool! You can actually see the water and kite boarders in the distance from the villa. Grace Bay beach is less than an 10 min. drive and is a fabulous beach! That is where we spent most of our days. The town of Grace Bay is great and has many fantastic restaurants & shops. There are great restaurants just outside of the town as well. Make reservations in advance. Overall we highly recommend Villa Hakuna Matata!

Bday at Hakuna Matta
The place was hard to get to and we got lost for an hour. But once we found the place is was Hakuna Matta . Overall we had a great time…would come back again. The response time if we needed any help was quick. My only con was the last day check-out was at 11a..the house cleaners came at 10a and the pool guy at 8a and there was a water issue when we were trying to get ready. My suggestion is to wait till after check-out to do all those things But other than that day..everything was great, thanks again for letting us celebrate my bday!

Lovely home!
Home is beautiful, bright, comfortable and clean! Pictures are spot on, it even has a deck (not shown) with a grill and table for eating. We loved the outdoor showers. The pool is not heated so didn’t get to enjoy it as much. You definitely need a car to get around as the area is still in development but felt extremely safe! Only about a 6-7 minute drive to Grace Bay! Hope ( property manager) was wonderful and responded quickly. Only recommendation for the owners is to get new beach stuff, umbrella’s broken and chairs are old, other than that the home has everything you need! Do not hesitate to book!

The house was super cute. There was spotty communication before the trip, however Hope was good about getting back to me during our stay. Water pressure and internet were spotty during our stay.

We had a wonderful time!
The property was very clean and exactly as pictured. There was an issue with the ensuite bathroom but Hope had someone come in to fix it right away. Though it's not on the beach, it's close to everything (if you have a car). I would recommend this property.

The house was as expected - very well stocked & comfortable beds. The location is not the best. Stray dogs everywhere which is not great for our family who likes to run. This is not the owners fault, just reality. Must drive to the beach - thought we could walk to Long Bay beach, but it doesn’t feel safe.

Great home in a great location
We loved our stay at Hakuna Matata. The home was beautiful and had everything we needed for a week long stay. We throughly enjoyed the private outdoor showers and all of the outdoor space. We didn’t see pictures on the listing but when we arrived we noticed a large deck space which was great for eating outside (there’s also a grill on the deck). The home is centrally located. You can see the water from the upper level too. You’ll find easy access to everywhere on the island from her too. We’d recommend staying here to any friends and family anytime. Only tithing ti note would be don’t put the address listed into your phone for directions. Follow the clearly listed instructions for finding the home. We didn’t do this and it took us a while to find it… with Hope’s help. Thanks for a great stay!

Cozy Hakuna Matata
The stay was accommodating. We originally had seven adults meant to stay but only 6 ended traveling. It lists for 7 but I honestly think 6 adults should be the mass. We had issues with the hot water heater. But it was quickly and promptly resolved. Overall I would stay here again unlike with the resorts. We had no quiet time so it was pleasant to be able to enjoy the pool after 12 when everything is shutdown. Hope was very informative and attentive.

Great home with well stocked kitchen
We really enjoyed the home and all of the space it provided our family of four. Each of us had our own room and bathroom. The kitchen has everything you will need. Everything. The pool is nice but small. The neighborhood is close to beaches and has many dogs to keep you company. My only disappointment was that on the second day there we realized the grill was leaking propane, one of the bikes that were available had no tube in the tire and the shower on the pool deck broke. I let the owner know and never heard from her. On the second to last day there I messaged her again to see if she got our email and how we were supposed to check out and she replied back quickly. It was an odd time as coronavirus was all the talk but Turks was not impacted yet. Overall it was a good place for a week stay just would have appreciated a response from the owner.

Lovely stay at Hakuna Matata
This well-appointed, spacious beach house was the perfect spot for a week's vacation for our family. We loved paddle boarding and watching the kite surfers at nearby Long Bay beach as well as spending time at Grace Bay Beach. The manager Hope was easy to reach and cleared up the questions we had upon arrival.

We had a wonderful time at Hakuna Matata. The house looks exactly as it does in the pictures. It's modern, bright, clean and has everything you need for a great vacation with a family of 5. Beaches, shopping, restaurants are conveniently located, but I would definitely recommend renting a car. We had a car for the week and it allowed us to go to different beaches and explore the island. The pool is a bonus for a quick dip at the end of a long beach day. Hope was great to work with - very responsive and flexible with accommodating our early arrival. We would love to come back!!

Wonderful week
We had a great time staying at Hakuna Matata for second visit. The kids really enjoyed the pool. And the parents enjoyed relaxing. It is a very well appointed house and we lacked for nothing. We did have two small issues come up during the week and Hope was very responsive and took care of our problems. Even on Easter Sunday! Great service! Highly recommend staying here.

Very nice and clean home with plenty of room for a family of 5. Pool was amazing for kids. Very close to all resorts, beaches, restaurants, activities. Highly recommend!

The house was exactly as the pictures show. The home was well equipped and in a good location. Just a short drive to numerous beaches. Would rent this house again. Ask Hope about the one item that needed a minor correction.

Amazing
This was the perfect retreat for our family of four. We had plenty of room for everyone and everything was great (including Hope). We had access to games, sunscreen, beach coolers and chairs. Everything was clean and we appreciated the alarm system and motion lights. The best parts were not having to share a pool and having our kids experience their first outdoor shower. We will definitely be back!
