You’ll find it easy to kick back and relax in the plush living room complete with wall-mounted flat screen TV/DVD/Blu-ray, gas fireplace and the ever-present sound of surf. We really enjoyed our stay at Kristy's Cottage. The first thing you notice is the view, which is fabulous. The kitchen is well equipped, and I was able to fix a nice dinner there. The bathroom is so pretty, and the beds are very comfortable! There are two big comfy chairs right in front of the living room window, which is where we sat much of the time. I did have a problem with the doorknobs though; the wide disk design is difficult to grasp for anyone with small and/or arthritic hands. At one point I thought I'd locked myself in the bathroom! My husband simply turned the knob and let me out. I was impressed that in addition to a hair dryer, there were two styles of diffusers - perfect for my curly hair. All in all, it was a really nice place to stay, and we hope to be able to stay there again.

Location is fabulous! Easy beach access, wonderful views and gorgeous sunsets. House is very well stocked with kitchen items and the kitchen was very clean. I would give rate this house 5 stars but some places look like they need a good cleaning. That said, we would stay again.

Every thing was perfect except that the BBQ that we were told was there had been removed the day before we arrived. We had planned to BBQ the steaks we brought with us. And the oven had no broiler pan.

It was so nice to end our day after taking 6 and 7 mile hikes that were 1300 and 2200 ft elevation with a calm walk on the beach and dinner with a gorgeous sunset from the house windows.

Our vacation at Kristy's Kottage was simply perfect! It was even more than we imagined. The home is well appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Staying here was exactly what we needed for a relaxing get-away. This was our 40th anniversary/husband’s retirement trip. After all of the Covid stuff we were looking forward to this getaway. We have been to the area many times but with a different rental company so imagine our disappointment after an 8 1/2 drive to arriving to a house that wasn’t cleaned since last visitors. Beds were not done. Dirty towels in basket. Crumbs and coffee stains on counter. Dirty bathroom etc. We had to leave again for an hour so the lady could clean (after I called to complain). Not a great beginning to our trip. The cleaning lady didn’t have a key to restock supplies so we had to go out to buy things like toilet paper. She arrived 2days later at 7 pm to restock such things It was our actual anniversary and my husband answered the door in his robe. You would have thought the lady would have gotten a clue that was not an appropriate time. The bed was horrible. The only good thing was the view. Next time we will stay at Beachcomber’s Haven as before. We never we’re disappointed there.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying here. It was wonderful to get a break from the hustle and bustle and enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds of the ocean from the house. We appreciated having the kitchen well stocked with equipment to cook dinner/have snacks, etc. We also really enjoyed cozying up next to the gas stove in the evenings. Would definitely love to come back!

This property is my favorite and this was our second stay! The home has large, crystal clear windows with comfortable chairs to watch the waves! The view is spectacular from the living room, the dining table, the kitchen and even the laundry room. The home is comfortable and has a well-stocked kitchen with all the cooking and prep equipment a chef needs on vacation. The neighborhood is on the north side of Gleneden Beach and is very private and quiet. Beach access is quite steep but right next to the house. The property management is top notch and was very responsive to a minor lamp issue. This home is terrific! We will be back again!

We chose Kristy's Kottage because of the location, view, and name (my name is Kristi). Kristy's Kottage is truly a piece of Heaven on Earth! It is cozy with the most breath taking views of the Pacific. The access to the beach could not have more convenient. The fireplace was warm and perfect for sitting beside while watching for seals/sea lions (which we saw daily) and whales (unfortunately, we did not see any), sunsets, star gazing, or reading a good book. The unobstructed view from the windows in the living area was most impressive. The balcony was relaxing with the clear panels rather than slats for watching the waves crash in front of you. Kristy's Kottage was clean, comfortable, and completely stocked--you really did only need clothes and toothbrush/paste. We will definitely recommend Kristy's Kottage to friends visiting the Oregon Coast.

Pictures online didn't do justice to this lovely property. We knew we would enjoy the beautiful view from the VERY comfy chairs facing the window. It wasn't possible to complain about the rain when we found out it hadn't rained since May! Our only complaint was that the motion detector lights outside didn't work. We arrived, late, in the dark, from Portland, and it was difficult to find our way in and access the key code. Wonderful James came and tried to fix things, but it took electrician Tony to make things right. Our HERO!

This property was amazing! Incredibly clean, cozy, warm, everything we wanted in a rental. It was like we stepped into a new life for a few days. We had all the creature comforts and could hear the ocean all night long. We will be back!

Spent a week there just relaxing. Beautiful Ocean view. Great proximity to beach access. Very clean and well kept. If you are into watching TV, the provided cable is very minimal. Plan on using your Streaming accounts. You can log in through the TV itself, or bring a Streaming device such as a Roku or Fire Stick. Laundry families are very nice. We enjoyed greeting the day from the lower deck with a hot morning beverage. A new Coffee shop opened up on Glenedon Beach Loop that serves up great coffee and fresh baked goodies. We throughly enjoyed our stay and will likely return someday.

This is a beautiful, clean, well-maintained beach front home. Oven, stove top, refrigerator, washer & dryer, etc. were all clean and in good working order. Furniture, carpets, and linens were in good condition. Everything felt newish and no undesirable smells. Kitchen was well equipped. Owner was responsive and in&out process was easy. The space was tastefully appointed. It's clear that the owner is very thoughtful and cares for this property. We felt privileged to be allowed to enjoy it for a few days.

This property was just about everything we hoped it would be! I say "just about", because there was an inaccuracy in the listing, but I will get to that. First, I want to celebrate what a great property this is!
I will start by saying we read all vacation home reviews thoroughly before we choose a home as we don't like surprises when it comes to our stay. The other guests were correct...this home is extremely clean! We loved how we were able to just walk in and unpack. It was also nice how everything was on one level, so once we were inside, we had no stairs to contend with unless we wanted to go to the bottom deck.
The check in process was easy and we were able to gain access to the home without an issue.The home was well equipped and the only thing extra we could have really asked for is some type of fan, as we are warm sleepers, even with it being September and us being by the ocean. Just a note for other potential vacationers...this home does not have AC...depending on the time of year, it may be an issue, but it wasn't for us.
We definitely give this home, and our stay, 5 stars, but I do have to give 4 stars for listing accuracy. We spent several minutes when we got there opening every door looking for the second bathroom, because the listing states there is 1.5 bathrooms (or 2 bathrooms in another part of the listing) in this unit. There is not. To be clear, there is only one (very nice) bathroom in the unit. We never book a vacation home with less than 1.5 bathrooms and I was careful to make sure this one had more than one, however, sadly, it did not. I felt that we paid for 2, but only got one. I hate to have to throw a negative in this review, as the rental and the location are top notch. I mention it, because potential renters need to know, plus I have hopes that the listing will be modified to show an accurate number of bathrooms.
The bottom line is this...this is a fantastic vacation rental and soothing to the soul. We did not want to leave. If your group is okay with a single bathroom, then this is the place for you!
