Nestled in Talkeetna, this charming house for $297 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Our cabin in the woods sits in a hilly forest only 7 minutes from downtown Talkeetna. We have an old trail going right thru our property, meaning you don't have to drive anywhere to enjoy miles and miles of fat tire biking, running, hiking, or viewing the aurora borealis. If you want miles of groomed cross country ski trails, the Talkeetna Lakes Park is a mile away and good for a whole trip's worth of fun. Our full kitchen means you don't have to go out, but a vacation to Talkeetna wouldn't be complete without hitting some of our restaurants, brewery, and pubs. And we're happy to inform you that Talkeetna now has a bike and ski rental shop, Talkeetna Gear Shop. We have some serious winter bike trails, too. It's still a secret that we have great cross country ski trails. So if you want a quiet town with plenty of activity in the winter, head this way. If you're coming in the summer, see how many of our local lakes you can swim in (at least 8 for us this year).

We booked this property to experience a little Alaskan winter, and it was a great stay. Everything was as advertised, and there was plenty of wood for the wood stove (a fireplace was one of our must-haves). We had plenty of snow (12 inches one of the days), but the driveway was plowed twice during our stay, so we had no problems getting in and out. One of the site pictures of the main room did not show any seating, except for a dining table, but we were pleased to find there actually was great seating to enjoy the fireplace. One minor issue was the TV was not in the main room with the fireplace, but upstairs in another seating room. Not a big issue since we ended up watching movies on a laptop while enjoying the fireplace. I highly recommend this property.

We had a brief stay at your property, quite enjoyable. We even saw a mom and babe moose while coming to the property. My nephews both graduated from college this last year, so I invited them along with me to see Alaska while we could! Thank you for offering your property for folks like us? We stayed at this property for only one night, but it was enough to make us feel like we should have stayed longer. Clean, cute, cozy, super comfortable. The layout of the house is fantastic and the rooms are super great. Beds very comfortable. They have everything you need to make your gateway a success! Super close to Talkeetna and also great hikes nearby. I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back again soon!

This place was great and the listing was accurate. We enjoyed the peaceful setting and the drive to town was easy. The cabin was clean and had all of the basics we needed. Highly recommend grocery shopping in Wasilla before heading to Talkeetna as groceries are limited and expensive in town. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

This house was perfect for the six of us all adults. The beds were comfortable, plenty of hang out space, lots of books(we contributed to the collection), beautiful setting in the trees, lots of games and the kitchen was stocked fairly well. Access was seamless. Location was close to town and east to find. All in all it was perfect for us! Thank you for sharing your Alaskan retreat!

This is a beautiful house with large windows, great views and a very comfortable atmosphere, in the peaceful woods but close to town. We greatly enjoyed our time here and would book it again without reservation. The home has very interesting wood and stone work throughout, a cozy sitting room upstairs and a loft as well (great for kids). In all, just a wonderful place to stay whether you are a couple or a family of 5.

We loved the 3-story layout with 3 bedrooms...and bunks in 2 of the rooms. We also loved the remoteness of the cabin, but it was still a quick drive to ski trails and downtown Talkeetna.

The booking process was quick and easy, with a rapid response time. We discovered the hosts had a great sense of humor as well. The house is huge and everywhere you go there are book nooks tucked everywhere with a wide range of awesome books. Huge kitchen with gorgeous wood countertops. Surrounded by the most beautiful views and silence. So peaceful. Each bedroom is cooler than the last, with the third one a large loft. There’s a fireplace, and you are very close to the city center. I hesitate giving this such a great review because I want to come back often and stay forever. Highlights: huge, clean home Comfortable beds BOOK NOOKS WITH ALL KINDS OF BOOKS - need I say more? Large kitchen and common areas. Awesome hosts P.S. were actually going to stay in the basement, so don’t pay any attention to us. 😊

This cabin was very unique. It has 2 living spaces, 1 on the main floor and 1 on the second level. I loved sitting out on the deck, it made you feel like you were in a tree house. It is very clean and well taken care of with everything you would need. The 3rd level is nice but you have to climb a ladder to get there. Kids would love it.

Thank you for sharing this great rental property! We saw a cow and 2 calves right out the back door. There is a 3 mile trail around a lake right down the road where I could get my morning run. Easy drive to Talkeetna. Perfect house for my family on our Alasakan adventure!

Nice location just a 10 minute drive from downtown Talkeetna. The house was exactly as advertised and comfortably supported our family of six. The third floor loft is quite cool and enjoyed by the young adults. Overall, a nice property and location. Definitely recommend.

We thought the home was very nice. Everything was very clean and appreciated all the extras like coffee, plenty of towels, etc. Grill worked well. If looking for any areas of improvement maybe more outside chairs for use. Thanks for great family memories
