Un havre de paix et de bonheur !

Le Mandala Moris était parfait pour nos 11 jours de vacances! Le personnel aux petits soins avec les clients veille à ce que tout se déroule à merveille, nous sert un délicieux petit déjeuner tous les jours et entretien la propreté du studio quotidiennement. C’est vraiment un lieu de quiétude où nous avons pu profiter du magnifique jardin et de la piscine ! Un vrai havre de paix!

Un havre de paix idéalement placé pour un séjour dans le nord de l'ïle Maurice. Personnel au top.

Le calme de la résidence, la qualité des prestations ainsi que la gentillesse et la discrétion du personnel. Le petit déjeuner servi tous les matins avec des produits frais était parfait.

A pleasant stay despite the misleading pictures.

The guesthouse with it's garden and pool area is beautiful, there was always a good vibe thanks to the ambiental music at the reception. The room we received was clean and very spacious, the bed was big and comfortable. The host and the staff were friendly, kind and helpful. Anja is very hospitable and speaks several languages which is a +. The studio was well equipped, we appreciated the bottle of water left for us in the fridge. There were mosquito repellent tablets in a drawer, thank you for that! In another drawer there was a book full of recommendation of restaurants, activities, excursions etc. The pool was deep enough to swim in and there was a staff member cleaning it every day. We chose to have breakfast one morning at extra cost, it was good but basic nothing out of the ordinary: baguette, pastries, butter, jams, 4 slices of cheese and 2 slices of cucumber (it could have been more), supermarket boxed juice, tea, coffee, it included eggs also but we chose not to have any that morning. What was really good was the yogurt with fresh fruit and almonds, and the freshly made pancakes. Other then that there are several cafes and restaurants nearby in the area where you can have a nice breakfast of your choosing. Another thing we are grateful for is that we were able to leave our luggage at the office space after check-out because our flight was in the evening and could hang out on the terrace by the reception for a while. Thank you! Wish we had more time to enjoy the pool and the garden.

The pictures from Booking show mainly rooms from the ground floor which have terraces, no pictures with the balconies. The guest house offers several rooms for rent but on Booking you can not choose which room you want from ground floor, 1st floor or 2nd floor.There are only 2 options: "Studio with pool view" and "Suite with pool view". The second option "Suite with pool view" is slightly bigger and has indeed pictures with the balcony. We booked the 1st option "Studio with pool view" expecting to receive a room on the ground floor with terrace and easy/direct/fast access to the pool area, but we were surprised to receive a room on the 1st floor with a balcony. When I mentioned this to the host she said: "Did you ask for a room on the ground floor? Don't worry, the rooms are the same." No, we didn't ask because we didn't know we had to. And maybe the rooms are the same but balcony and terrace are 2 different things. Pictures are misleading. On the other hand the bathroom could use a renovation, mostly the shower area, some sanitary installations were rusty. The guest house has 3 arranged parking spaces, but they are quite narrow, when most of the rooms are booked and you arrive in the evening, you have to park near the fence of the neighboring houses. As a suggestion it would be useful if beach towels were provided as in similar accommodations.

Un hôtel de charme idéal et à taille humaine pour explorer les alentours de Grand Baie

Le cadre est magnifique; l’établissement se trouve dans un écrin de verdure. Le personnel est adorable et très serviable, particulièrement Nicolas et Obryana qui ont répondu à toutes nos demandes. Notre appartement pour 4 était très confortable, avec une chambre séparée pour les parents et un balcon donnant sur le jardin et la piscine. Les petits déjeuners sont excellents (crêpes, viennoiseries, pain perdu, jus de fruits frais, œufs …) L’emplacement est idéal, très proche du centre de Grand Baie mais au calme malgré tout.

If you like cozy, peaceful plac La Mandala is for you ❤️

The place is calm and peaceful. Owners are very helpful and kind ❤️ Very close to grocery shop, bakery, restaurants and to the beautiful, cozy and quiet beach. Nice and clean swimming pool in beautiful garden. Big room whit kitchens equipment, for us was very important. We could do small cooking. Huge and comfortable bed. Good place to rest.

Only one small thing could be better… cleaning of shower. Despite of it just wonderful.

Cet établissement était conforme à nos attentes. Le petit déjeuner que nous avons prit en supplément était copieux et très bon. Les chambres sont calmes et très bien prévues. L'aménagement extérieur est magnifique.

Fantastic location, clean and spacious room, everything needed was available, very secure property.

The cleanliness and the location is just fantastic. It’s better to take a rental car which we usually do. Mauritius is very traveller friendly and you can book one from the airport. The pool was very clean and rooms were spacious. There was complete set up to cook in your villa. We chose not to as we were on a really short trip. Everything was comfortable.

Breakfast was mostly similar every day, but tons of breakfast options nearby especially Bloom Cafe, Blue Lagoon and a great bakery 2 minutes from the Villa.

Absolute Empfehlung! Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt!

Wir waren sehr begeistert, die Unterkunft ist super schön, die Appartements gut ausgestattet, der Pool ein tolles add on! Das Frühstück ist fantastisches, wir haben uns jeden Morgen darauf gefreut und Anja’s Tipps für Restaurants und Strände waren Gold wert. Herzlichen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt!

Liebevoll gestaltete Unterkunft mit äußerst freundlichem Personal.

Wir wurden von Anja äußerst freundlich empfangen und uns wurden alle Einrichtungen gezeigt. Der Pool und das Frühstück waren fantastisch. Wir hatten nette Gespräche mit anderen Gästen. Das Personal war durchweg sehr freundlich. Das Appartement war für eine Selbstverpflegung gut ausgestattet. Ein Supermarkt und ein Restaurant sind fußläufig erreichbar. Bis zum tollen Strand war es mit dem Mietwagen nicht weit.

Exceptional

We liked everything: the warm hospitality, the cleanliness of the place and the atmosphere. The owners are incredible nice and very natural. Le Mandala is near to the best beach of the island, much better than Flic en Flac. It is also very near to very good restaurants, especially Luigi in the Mall. As a whole, we felt like at home. We recommend Le Mandala super super warmly.

Good place to stay 2-4 nights

Calm place, spacious room and balcony, comfortable. There was everything in kitchen you need to prepare food. Nice design interior.

Not beach front. I would recomend light the hallway because when it gets dark early, the hallway is so dark that you can't see how to unlock the rooms

We had a lovely time at Mandala Moris.

It is clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. Michael helped us with renting a car, booking taxi and recommended different places to visit. The breakfast was simple and enough.

This is a lovely place to stay at this district, we enjoyed every minute here. The owner of the accommodation is very kind and helpful. She arranged a catamaran trip for us too, which we really enjoyed. Thanks very much again everything and wish the best :)

A home away from home

Mandala is so confortable and cozy. Did meet all our expectations. We loved the place and the hosts were so helpful and kind. The awesome breakfast by the pool did open our mood to start those beautiful tropical days. On our return to Mauritius, that we hope for soon, Mandala Morris will be definitively or first option. Fully recomended.

Superb

Very pleasant accommodation surrounded by a small garden with a swimming pool. Breakfast served on terrace in Garden. Owners are very friendly and will help with everything. You must have a car or use Taxi. Bus stop is cca 200 m... We stayed with our family for 8 nights and we really liked it. Thank you Anja.

Perfect place for holiday

A great hospitality, accomodation, facilities and position of the house. It's nice to have a free parking in a front of house. Also possibility to use a transport with a local bus, because station is 100m far away from the house. Nice restorants, shops and beakery near the house. The apartment is a clean, lots of space with a nice small kitchen and a beautiful terrace and swimming pool. The beautiful beach is 10-15 min walking distance.

Great stay

The apartment/studio is spacious and the kitchen well equipped for basic cooking. The terrace is awesome. The bed is with 1,80m broad very spacious. Everything is beautifully detailed and a pleasure to stay.

It could use more space on the drying rack for beach towels and stuff.

Decent stay near grand bay and Mont choisy beach.

Spacious & clean rooms with private bathroom and kitchen. Nice pool and garden. Supermarkets nearby. Bus stop in walking distance for going to Grand Bay/beach.

A chimney in the kitchen would be better.

A perfect setting and location with helpful hosts.

We wanted a quiet property in a quiet location from where we could access the beach on foot. Le Mandala Moris fulfilled all of these. It was also well located to catch a bus further afield to Cap Malheureux and Pereybere. We had decided before arrival that we wished to self-cater for the 5 nights of our stay and we were able to do this as there were well stocked supermarkets close by and we also sourced an excellent butcher within walking distance. Our apartment was cleaned daily and the balcony was furnished extremely comfortably. The bed was very comfy and had excellent linen. There was also a large walk-in wardrobe as part of the bathroom area.

We felt that the bathroom could do with updating as it felt a little tired as it was not up to the high standards set in the rest of the suite.

The room is superb, very spacious, cleaned daily and with everything you might need - it felt like home. The hosts are very friendly and happy to help and provide information. Breakfast was delicious. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this place!

Lovely stay in beautiful and tastefully decorated B’n’B with the best breakfast

The Mandala Moris is a super cute and lovely bed and breakfast with clean rooms and the most amazing breakfast! Anja and Jean- Francois were so accommodating and lovely, and the room was beautifully and tastefully decorated. There are some restaurants nearby the accommodation but I’d say you ideally need a car to travel around nearby places. We also loved the little kitchenette so that we could eat in a few days, too.
