Would not recommend

Nice looking house from outside but..

We had to cut short our stay at villa Carina as it didn’t meet our expectations and we didn’t want to stay there anymore. We stayed only 2 nights instead of 3. Just to state that in reality the accommodation was way below the 3 stars given to the property with very old furniture and fixtures and odd smell. On first night we couldn’t lock our room as the door lock as broken, called the host( he doesn’t stay there) at 9pm to come and fix it but he told me he is not bothered to come that late and said I am just imagining problems!Next day I had to ask him again, he came checked the the lock is really broken but said no one could fix it today as it was Saturday ( unbelievable). So on the next day we decided to leave. It wasn’t safe for my family to sleep with unlocked front door and this conditions. Photos describing the room are not up to date. I know is a long post but this was our experience there.

Quiet environment

Very quiet area, countryside, definitely need a car. Some stunning beaches within 20 min to half an hour drive. The main building accommodation is of better standards and more modern than the separate studio unit.

Initially stayed in the studio unit which was a bit too old and in need of repair. Thankfully we were able to move to a room in the main buidling which was much better.

Great Last Minute Stay

Great location, very peaceful, especially at night. I have stayed here previously and this stay was just as pleasant, although very brief. The later than normal checkout of midday was a real bonus so I could have a much needed long lie in! :-))

Amazing stay in Kefalonia

Dimitri was really nice and friendly. He took time to show us all the beaches of the island on the map and explained a bit about travelling across Kefalonia. The Villa and the big garden were beautiful and our terrace had a view on the sea.

A beautiful villa with a lovely garden and a good size parking space located in a very quiet area, not too far from the beach. A great host, very friendly, approachable and always happy to help.

What a wonderful place!

We apsolutely loved it! The location is perfect for those who love peace and nature. The garden is perfectly groomed, with trees, fruits and plants. You can hear roosters in the morning. There are beautiful beaches only 5-10 minutes drive. Beaches nearby are not busy and you can have your privacy, they are ideal for strolling as the sand is soft and beaches are long. Bear in mind that the car is necessary. The apartment is well organized, so it's comfortable and spacious. There is a playground for children. WiFi is excellent but only outside of the apartment, not inside. The TV has foreign channels, which is rare, so we could watch football matches and movies in English. Dimitris and Lali are perfect hosts! We apsolutely recomment this place and would love to come back! Thank you for everything!

A peaceful place and very friendly host

I think that is a good choice for a family with small children because the area is very safe, peaceful and the property haw a generous backyard. The host was very friendly and he offer a lot of great information about the island, beaches, restaurants. More than, he was very kindly and help me when I need to buy something for my car. The apartment has two generous terraces very good to take breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening.

The property is not in the town or village. The closer beach is at 5 minutes driving. In the room, the internet connection was very poor and the second room was very small (for children) and crowded.

Very comfortable place, quiet and relaxing with a beautiful garden. Dimitri is the perfect host. The area has nice beaches and it is not very busy. I definitely recommend this place!
