Will definitely be going back.

Loved the view. Loved the deck area and that we could just walk down to the waters edge.

We got called back home so had to cut our stay short. Disappointing.

Disappointed !!!! The premises is good but not the rooms.

Location, spacious restaurant, near the beach and friendly staff … if only they will check the rooms cleanliness especially the beddings and linens, it will be a good Hotel.

I slept for 2 tonight’s with dirty, blood stained duvet and linens. I found it upon checking out when I made up our bed!!! Disgusting !!!

Good location. Dirty room and pools. Expensive for the quality.

The location was excellent, and the room was OK but expensive and dirty.

The staff were friendly, but the room was dirty upon arrival. It looks like they hadn't cleaned up properly. The bath mat had hairs all over it, and in one drawer was a pizza box with moldy slices of pizza and fries. The hot spa pool was quite dirty, and the main pool was closed once we arrived as they said the water was too dirty and had algae build up. On the last day we stayed, the hot spa pool had been cleaned, and the water was clear; the first two days we were there, the water was very cloudy, so it must have been filthy (we thought it was just thermal water). The hotel did offer the option to go to one of their other hotels in the city to use a swimming pool, but we ended up just going to the beach. Overall, for the price, I wouldn't recommend staying here.

beautiful view and location, if you want to shower after a swim it’s not the best

The location was amazing, we booked the king suite with beach view and it was amazing waking up to the view

The water pressure in the shower is horrendous, and the pool was dirty and closed while we were there

Awesome restaurant & breakfast selections. Staff friendly. Open, happy surroundings.

Bathroom shower pressure very low. Doors to wardrobe restrictions trying to get past them when going out or to bathroom.

Breakfast was good they had everything for everyone

The bar was closed 2 hours earlier than what they advertised, and by then, it was too late to make other arrangements as town was too far away. So, a very early night. Boring unhappy 🙁

Disappointed with our stay

one staff member (British women) was really nice and helpful. good views.

Noisy, constant sound of kids running around upstairs. Bed had no support. At check in they took an additional deposit that is not highlighted on their T&C despite them claiming it is, and could not say what it was for (we had already paid up front). They still advertised the spa treatments but not that fact they are closed for over a month. Parking is not near the rooms so try to check in when its not raining.

there were no spoons in the room to make a hot drink in the morning which was a bit difficult. we ordered room service but had to go to the restaurant and order, the second time they said we can’t order but we had done so an hour before so was all a bit confusing

Overpriced, dated and in need of a good clean

Location. The bar area staff were very attentive.

The room was not exactly like the picture of the room we thought we booked. We therefore felt the daily rate was overpriced. There was mould in the bathroom in a number of places and this contributed to a smell in the room, which required a window or door to be opened at all times. They tried to service our room at 5 pm in the day, which was a bit late really, as we had just returned back from being out. The other members of our group were not impressed at all. I also queried with the resort the rooms that were allocated to our of 3 couples group. There has been no response from the resort.

Beautiful Location & Excellent Value

Beautiful main building, the gorgeous grounds, and the location of the hotel are the best in Paihia. There is a beautiful pool and spa with incredible views of the Bay of Islands. You need a car if you wish to stay here. Paihia town is quite far. Waitangi treaty grounds are right next door. Excellent value for the room rate.

The rooms and overall interiors of the hotel have seen better days. This place could use a good refurbishment to bring it up to date with modern hotels in the area. Beds far too soft.

The place is so special it deserves a hotel of quality.

The location was beautiful.

The complex needs modernisation, bathrooms need to be upgraded. The restaurant also needs modernisation and to move towards serving less food but of a higher quality.

Location and view fantastic, staff were great, chef fantastic and helpful

Trickle of a shower, beds were not made up correctly (missing top sheets), broken lock on door, bathroom and mugs were not clean, fire sprinkler had hair hanging from it.

Super comfy beds

We were reluctant to shower as the water smelled bad. Mentioned to front desk, who told us they'd have maintenance check it out the next day (no good to us as we were checking out the next day!). No offer to move us to a different room or discount our stay. Pretty unimpressed when I paid >$300 a night. Definitely won't be back nor will I recommend

not good value for money unfortunately - with so much potential though.

Beautiful setting, great location, amazing pool, comfortable beds, nice linen.

Pool was out of order, laundry was out of order, rooms were very dated (particularly the bathroom), with grouting needing to be replaced at a minimum.

wouldn't recommend if you are staying more than a day

The view was amazing!! The room was nice but not the greatest the pool was great definitely good for family's with kids. Staff are nice.

The rooms have no kitchenette but have a jug cups and a fridge. The funny thing is you don't have a sink to fill your jug up and wash your cup, you have to fill it up in the bathroom which for hygienic purposes is gross.. The sliding door in the room was jammed so with a little rough tug you could get it open the side blinds were broken so you couldn't open those..The sheets on a bed we had were ripped and had stains, the bathroom had little brown spots around the sink which we cleaned our own self, the buffet is over priced and has the most blandest food ever.. mussels tasted like watery rubber same as the tasteless shrimp and also not much options for the price you pay. wouldn't recommend 4/10

Amazing Location.

The location is amazing and the place is quite nice. With nice restaurant, swimming pool. Feels like a tropical island.

The faucets in the bathroom are very low pressure ones. Both the sink and the shower, which isn't too great.

was only there for an overnight stay so can’t really comment very much. the staff were courteous and helpful.

location and grounds. lovely pool area. very good breakfast.

air con was noisy in the night. the rooms are a little tired and could do with a refresh. also the parking area outside my room was very tight .. I got hemmed in by two large vans parked diagonally and couldn’t get my car out.
