Suitable for 4 adults - one room had a bathroom connected, the other had one outside the room but on another level. No big deal, but one couple would have to accept this. The dinner was amazing, and the service was great. Pierre was always available to answer questions and help with our stay. Close to the center square, which made it a great location. Thank you!

The listing is exactly as advertised, and perhaps better. Pierre was way to communicate with and his concierge service was excellent. Nothing but good things to say about our stay.

We enjoyed a very pleasant week in this peaceful and relaxing property only a few minutes away from the main central square of the medina. Fatima, Zohra and Ahmed looked after us royally with delicious meals and by keeping the whole property clean and tidy.
Pierre the owner kept regular contact and arranged efficient transport to and from the airport that removed all the stress of finding the property in the small alleys of the medina.
All in all I recommend this property highly, part of Marrakesh’s charm is it’s chaos and full on experience. The haven of the Riad and the wonderful team running it gave us the necessary downtime to recharge our batteries when needed. Thank you

A wonderful oasis in the heart of the Medina
Completely as advertised. The Riad was comfortable, quiet, and beautifully furnished. The service was terrific and food prepared by Fatima and Zohara was a real highlight. The ability to enjoy the sensory overload of the Medina right outside the door and then retreat to this oasis made for a very enjoyable week.

The Riad was fine and central to the main square (Whitch has to be visited at night) the only problem could be for elderly persons is there are two sets of narrow stairs without a hand rail up to the first floor and roof terrace which isn't mentioned. Pierre was very helpful and kept in touch most days.

Great place! Great Staff!!
Pierre was very helpful to create a very special time at his place. He helped coordinate a very special dinner and Fatima and Zohra were so helpful and very friendly. We really enjoyed the meals they provided for us. Since this was our first trip to Morocco we were not sure about what to expect. We felt very comfortable at the Riad and the staff were very accommodating to make sure it was a great memory. This is very centrally located close to the main square, easy walking distance to the places we wanted to see in the old Media. Thanks very much, I would highly recommend this property.

We have wanted to visit Marrakech for a long time but wanted a Riad to ourselves. This 2 bedroom riad is the perfect solution in every way. The property is sensitively renovated and very authentic. The location is perfect, with Jemma el-Fna Square literally 3 minutes walk from the front door. There is also a bureau de change round the corner (all Banks and BdC offered the same rates within 0.3dhm so no point shopping around). There is a wide selection of restaurants throughout the Medina all within a 15-20 minute walk. My tip would be to avoid the restaurants on square.
Breakfast was plentiful and fresh each day, lunch was fabulous and we had dinner in the Riad on 2 occasions. Fatima’s cooking is at least as good as, if not better than, most of the local restaurants. We ate at Naranj and Les Cantine de Gazelle, 2 top rated restaurants in Trip Adviser and they were no better than Fatima’s cooking.
Finally, communication with Pierre, the property owner, was very efficient and informative. He responded promptly every time we contacted him during the booking process and in the lead up to our stay. The week before we travelled he sent emails with loads of information and recommendations on what to do and where to go. He made all the arrangements we needed for airport transfers and drivers for any excursions we had booked ourselves. He was happy to help with everything to ensure our stay was stress free.
If you want to visit Marrakech but have any apprehensions then this is the place to stay. This was one of the best experiences of my life and I would recommend Pierre, his Riad and his team very highly.

Lovely Private Riad
We enjoyed our 8 night stay at this lovely, well maintained Riad. The staff, Fatima, Zohra and Ahmed, took great care of us and we especially liked the delicious meal that Fatima cooked for us. The riad is conveniently located and is about a 2-3 minute walk to the main square. The rooftop terrace is a wonderful place to have have breakfast or to unwind after a busy day in hectic Marrakech. The owner, Pierre, was very responsive to our questions and even called a few times to make sure that everything was going smoothly. Highly recommended!

A well organised and efficient Riad
We spent 4 nights , arriving on an evening flight . Pierre had given useful advice beforehand and remained in touch during our stay.
We were met at the airport and it is a short drive to the Medina . Ahmed led us through narrow streets and alleys to the Riad where a meal was waiting. We had a tour of the Medina the next day , the following day a trip to Imlil , and on final day explored more of Marrakesh.
Pierre's transport and guide arrangements worked perfectly .
Dar Yaoumi is very well located , it was clean and everything in working order . Small shops and a money change bureau are within a minute walk.
Fatima , Zohar and Ahmed took good care of us with a mixture of French and English . We had two evening meals in the Riad and ate in restaurants in the main square on other evenings .
We had a most enjoyable stay and can recommend this as a good place to stay and especially the support of local knowledge and contacts so you make the most of your visit.
Many thanks to Pierre and his team.

Good riad and very roomy
This is a good place to stay and while the staff speaks no english, they are extremely hospitable nonetheless. We did really enjoy our time here. However, we spent the first night at Riad Dar Beija nearby and honestly enjoyed that more, even though it was not a private riad.

An Oasis of calm in a sea of chaos
A warm welcome from a very caring team. Food excellent. Owner gave us the best customer service we have received in the house rentals we have had. Having your own house within the Medina, minutes away from the Djemaa el-Fna, lets you live like a local, well almost. We have visited more than 20 countries. Morocco/Marrakesh should be on everyone's Bucket List.

Comfortable riad close to Jemaa El Fna
Riad "Dar Yaoumi" is a haven of tranquility in the Medina of Marrakech. We enjoyed staying in the local community, with all places of interest within easy reach.
The staff were welcoming and helpful. My son had an accident on one of our excursions, damaging his foot. Ahmed came to see us at 9.30 pm., and returned half an hour later with a walking stick! Fatima cooked twice for us. The meals were delicious - she must be the best cook in Marrakech.
We hope to return in two or three years and would definitely choose this accommodation.
The building is old, full of character and wonderfully restored.

Wonderful Riad in center in the Medina!
This Riad was one of the reasons our trip to Marrakech was such a success and fantastic experience. From our welcome to our goodbye the staff were very attentive and helpful. Fatima's cooking skills are amazing-so glad we decided to have a few meals in
The location of the Riad made walking tours easy. The staff also helped arranged day tours outside the city that were breathtaking. Thank you to Pierre and all the staff for making our first experience in Morocco so wonderful!

Delightful bolt hole in the heart of the Medina
We loved having 'our own house' just a few minutes from the Djemma el-Fnaa. Our stay there was very comfortable, not least because everything has been thought through extremely well so all our needs were fully met. Pierre was a wonderful host from afar: not only did he patiently answer all of our queries both before and during the trip, but he rang twice while we were there to make sure all was well. The 'gardien' Ahmed looked after us in a friendly and efficient manner, building a lovely fire every evening to ward off the chill that set in after dusk. And Fatima, who prepares breakfasts, cleans and cares for the house, and makes dinners by special arrangement, could not have been more helpful or friendly. We loved her wonderful Moroccan cooking and thoroughly enjoyed the three dinners that we had over the six nights. The roof terrace is a delightful place to have a picnic lunch and to hang out in the afternoon sunshine when taking a break. All in all, this was an all but perfect place for a domestic rather than touristic stay in Marrakech.

Sublime
This was our second visit to the magical Dar Yaoumi, and it was just as divine as we remembered it. A little gem of a riad, hidden in the medina, but very close to Djmaar el Fna square. The interior is beautifully designed, bijoux and stylish, and we were looked after once again by Fatima, for whom nothing is too much trouble. We are already planning a third visit!

A Fabulous Place to Stay in the Heart of Marrakech
This Riad is a perfect place to stay- it is close to all the attractions of Marrakech but provides a peaceful escape at the end of a long days sightseeing. It is situated south of the main square so is easier to navigate and find your way round. We loved the idea of having this house all to ourselves, yet it comes with all the benefits of being in a hotel.
It is very comfortable, clean and has a lovely calming atmosphere.
We stayed in December so took the opportunity to use the terrace in the morning for breakfast and the fire in the sitting room at night. Another great touch is that in the evening the Riad is transformed by candlelight.
Fatima provides the breakfast and is so lovely and helpful- nothing is too much trouble for her. She does the most wonderful evening meals- they were the best we had in Marrakech- highly recommended.
Pierre and his team are very helpful, giving lots of information, tips and help. We had a great trip to the Ourika valley and waterfalls, driven by Hassan, who also does the transfers from the airport. Be prepared to have to visit other places along the way however!

Fantastic Riad in the heart of Marrakech
Fantastic Riad in the heart of Marrakech. You will be amazed at the size and space in this lovely Riad in a side street just off the main square. Close enough to the action yet calm and quiet when you shut the doors. The roof terrace is a great place to enjoy an authentic meal cooked by your housekeeper Fatima who will also cater for all of your breakfast requirements. Highly recommended.

what an ideal place to spend Valentine's Day!
We had a fanstastic time in this Riad. We were warmly welcome and had lovely meals on the Terrasse. It was great to have this beautiful space just for us, lovely fire in the cheminee in the evening. What a lovely place for the lovers!

A beautiful haven in the midst of the bustle
We had the most amazing time at Dar Yaoumi, Marrakech and Morocco. We think the country is beautiful and the people so friendly and welcoming. And as for this Riad - what can I say? It was so beautiful and peaceful and well thought out. It is more beautiful than the photos can portray. We loved the rooftop, especially the eating area with the curtains, we loved the décor (the girls especially loved the tassles!), we loved Fatima, we loved Fatima's tagine!, we loved the location (I really hadn't realised just how close it was to the main square). Basically we loved everything!
Pierre was very helpful before our arrival - nothing seemed to be too much trouble for him. Thank you to Pierre and Fatima for a wonderful stay.

A stunning riad
My mum and I stayed here for a short break at the end of April and we had the most amazing time. Fatima, the maid was absolutely brilliant - she cooked us breakfast server on the roof terrace every morning and made sure the riad was spotless throughout on a daily basis.
Greg was very helpful and recommended places for us to visit - he really does have a wealth of knowledge - make the most of it!
Tip - bring some earplugs to avoid being woken at 5am for the call to prayer!
Overall, we had an absolutely fantastic stay in this riad - it really was in the middle of the hustle & bustle which we really enjoyed as a mother and daughter out to explore the wonders of Marrakech.
Many thanks to Pierre, Fatima, Greg and Hassan (our driver) for a seamless and exciting break :)
