Great option in the very heart of Kilkenny

Great location in the very heart of Kilkenny! Room was huge and very comfortable. Bathroom was OK, cleaning was OK. Breakfast (full Irish) was superb. We would surely return, as it exceeded our expectations.

A bit more information on "how and where" to park the car would have been very helpful, considering it's a crowded area without parking places on the street (a bit difficult to download/upload the bags). As there is no elevator, you may find hard to carry the bags by stairs up to the second floor.

Wonderful central lication

Every member of staff was really friendly and helpful. The location was perfect- right in the centre and close to everything. The breakfast which was included was tasty. We had a choice of cooked breakfasts, plus there were scones, cereals, fruit and yoghurt which we could help ourselves to.

There were only a couple of small things that weren't perfect. There was no hairdryer in the rooms and the bathroom was a little dated. However, considering the good value of our stay these things were not a deal breaker.

Nice stay in Kilkenny. Walk to everywhere in town.

Breakfast was great, staff wonderful, location in town perfect.

It was quite noisy late into the night on Friday evening from the bar next door.

one night so can’t complain but my room was not good. and slept very little due to this issue

room 3. it is horrendous. not because of internal issues or cleanliness but it is too bright, it was like sleeping in the day with the outside light from terrace or whatever it was shining in. could not sleep. also this room is right next to their terrace rooftop bar. no or little privacy. this ruined my sleep sadly

great location but dont expect much from the room

The location is superb.

The shower made a terrible noise and the sink didn't work properly. The towels were small and my room was not clean. Sorry. I really wanted to be able to say something better.

Good value for money but breakfast server very unhelpful. Could not give mushrooms ith eggs as it would be confusing for chef? Surely it would have cost them more had I ordered full breakfast. Also spoke to other customers quite rudely

Asked for soda bread was given sliced bread and told it was home made

Amazing food and service.

The food and service were amazing, the young woman who took our order, who had an English accent, was the highlight, rarely do you get such good service, and the man who delivered my steak too. Thank you both for making the stay that much more enjoyable. The room and bed were comfortable. The atmosphere was very good.

The shower could have had a little more power. Outside our window was a smoking room, so we had to leave the curtain drawn.

Exceptional

Upon entry it was a gorgeous little pub. Welcomed by friendly staff (Jerry) Check inn was so easy and personally shown to the room. Room was cosy, clean and a good size. Location couldn’t of been any better.

There was nothing about the property that disappointed!

Good location, very nice and helpful staff, ok breakfast

The rooms are extremely basic for the price compared to other B&Bs. The bed was uncomfortable and the bathroom had spiders. No kettle in the room for a cup of tea. Definitely overpriced.

Friendly staff , good food, rooms were immaculate

Beds were a little uncomfortable and rooms were very hot The church bells rang every hour throughout the night keeping us all awake obviously not the fault of the hotel but location.

Friendly staff, great food and location over rules the outdated facility.

Property is very well located in the center of Kilkenny. Pub downstairs serves delicious breakfast and ordered food.

The rooms are outdated. Bathroom isn’t functional as toilet is located just beside the wall. Shower is falling apart.

Nice stay in Kilkenny on wet Wednesday in October.

Location and value. Friendly staff. Great breakfast included in price of room. Did not have dinner but what we could see other customers being served looked lovely. And busy on a wet Wednesday evening. Will visit again.

No plug in room 3 to charge phone.

Rafter's was central and great value for money.

Lovely place to stay. The staff were very friendly and the food delicious. Would recommend to anyone travelling to this historic city, it has everything, great architecture, super coffee shops, plenty of shops to look at. Would definitely stay again.
