With two queen beds, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, sink, and eat - at bar, the casita also boasts a private bath with a large Saltillo tiled shower. A stucco wall around the front provides privacy. The prime location is on State Highway 118 in Study Butte; minutes from restaurants and shopping and the Western entrance to Big Bend National Park. Also minutes from local outfitters for rafting, jeeping and ATV tours. After a day of hiking or rafting, you will appreciate the Casita's proximity to numerous restaurants, fuel and grocery stores. Nothing unique, but this one is located right on the road whereas most are set back away from the road, the air conditioner is insufficient, it stayed warm in the cabin even at night with the air conditioner on and the temperature outside around 60. And there was no Wi-Fi which we needed badly for uploading pictures. We communicated with the managers but they did not or were not able to do anything.

This property was good. I don't know if it is worth the money, but it was the only thing left when I was planning my vacation in the area. We stayed for one night. The room is clean but basic, had enough amenities for one night, but any longer than that and the fridge would get full and we would have had to wash dishes constantly as there are only 4 of everything. We were looking forward to having a campfire, and based on reviews I was under the impression there was firewood included. Upon arrival, there was none, so I messaged the owner. We could not find any wood in town, so we had to light a bag of charcoal in fire in the pit. The next day the owner did get back to me and said she would have some delivered, but it was too late as we were leaving. Other than that, no complaints, it did the job for the one night we stayed. The ghost town nearby is super cute. The noise from the highway being so close didn't seem to be an issue, but it is definitely not a secluded cabin which would have appealed to us more for the price.

The property was nice because it had a full kitchen, and it was spacious in the casita. Supposed to be "dark sky" country, and you can see many stars. We see as many stars at home in AZ!

Thé Casita was exactly as the pictures … we thought it was perfect. My sister and I spent most of our time hiking and trip. The cabin was nice and refreshing to come back to every afternoon. It was very quiet and private. The AC worked great, the shower had plenty of nice hot water and the 2 queen beds were perfect for us and very comfortable with nice linens. The little kitchen was all we needed. Restaurants were close by but far enough away to give us quiet time and privacy. We would definitely stay there again. The only negative was the wifi never worked and our cell phones were not getting much service most of the time

I can’t say enough about the location for our trip to Big Bend! The Wi-Fi didn’t work during our stay and that was a bit of an issue for us but I’m sure it’s been fixed. But Location is key! It is very basic (very) but met our needs. If you plan to cook you will have challenges but we didn’t and enjoyed some very good local establishments. I found it pricey for what it is but also realize it’s the going rate in the area with so few options. Because of location I would recommend and stay again!

This was a very cute little place to crash between Big Bend hikes. No issues with the property at all.
