This house was perfect! It was beautifully decorated and so comfortable. It was also located near shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. Shawn was an excellent host and always responded quickly to our messages. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

The house is in a great location. It is in need of an update and upgrade. It was difficult to enter the home because the lock for the door would not open until many attempts were made. The house had a funny odor - mildew perhaps. There were minimal kitchen items for use and very challenging to cook anything due to lack of utensils, pots and pans, dishes etc. I would not rent again.

Property worked well for our group of 6 adults in for a Knoxville weekend wedding. Owner was very responsive for all communications. Would recommend to others.

Pros:
The location was great being close to Turkey Creek and a large variety of stores. Quiet neighborhood and large front and back yard. Square footage was good size, and the den was a nice separate space away from bedrooms. Large front and back porch and a long driveway.
We accidentally put the wrong check-out date, and the owner let us stay for 1 more night.
Cons:
Small bathrooms. Hallway bath/shower looked original and was broken. The diverter handle kept spinning and spinning and only about 40% of the water would go up to the shower head. You could not get the water out of the shower head to heat up, but yet the water coming out of the shower faucet was scalding hot. We noticed this right away on the first night, and I messaged the owner to have someone come fix it because there was 6 of us, and now only 1 shower. He said he'd get with housekeeping, but never got back to me, and no one came out.
On the last night we heard a drip in the den coming from the ceiling where the old wood burning oven was. It was dripping onto the TV. We unplugged the TV and messaged the owner. No response.
Outdated appliances (oven looks original and took a very long time to heat/cook & microwave also took extra time to cook). Washer and dryer were old, but seemed to work well. Toaster didn't work very well. No ceiling fans except for den. Garbage disposal didn't work. Missing some basic kitchen items that you would assume would be there. Such as salt, aluminum foil, only 2 trash bags, 1 paper towel roll.
Master bedroom sheets had an odd odor and maybe weren't cleaned prior to use.
Overall it was decent for the location we were looking for, and the amount of space. However, the home come definitely use some updating and repairs.

Just as presented this home was clean and warm. It was a wonderful place for our crew to unwind at the end of a long working day. Thank you for allowing us to stay and thank you for such a nice place to do so. We will hopefully be back in the future.

The property was described accurately in listing. Very nicely decorated in a very convenient location. Kitchen was equipped very well. Only thing missing was a spatula. Other than that we had a great stay.

Great house, very clean! My family really enjoyed our stay here.
We did some Thanksgiving cooking and we were pleased that the kitchen was so well stocked!
We took advantage of everything the house has to offer, the wonderful back porch and the big washer and dryer!!!
We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed there as family of 3 for a little over 2 weeks.
The Fundamentals: It is an old house, but the owner decorated every room with taste. Very livable. Keep in mind some of the appliance can be dated, such as the oven. But they work.
The Great: The sun room is absolutely awesome, and that is my favorite. I spent days sitting there doing my work. And we spent evenings there. The family room is nice and cozy, and so is the living room. Other rooms are fine. Turkey Creek is the Knoxville shopping district, extremely convenient.
The house is very well stocked with cook utensils, knives, spoons, forks, etc, as well as some of the stuff like paper towels, toilet tissue.
The neighborhood is quiet, and we felt very safe. There is a hospital not far away, and I heard helicopters often while sitting in the sunroom. initially I thought there were some recreational thing, until one day it clicked.
The not so good: Since the house is old, there are age related issues. I did see one cockroach in the night. It didn't scare me, but reminded me to keep food safely stored, and trash well covered. A few minor maintenance issues, especially the front lock can be finicky.
It is slightly more expensive then a 2 bedroom hotel suite. We had positive experience, and would rent the place again if we visit area. It is even a better deal if you have a larger party, since it does have 3 bedrooms.
There were no reviews when we rented the place, so I was a little concerned when I booked unit. Hopefully this will help future renters.
