Summary: Perfectly positioned for your beach break, this popular two-bedroom holiday home is situated just three houses back from the beach. Enjoy open plan living which flows out to the sunny deck. The beach access is just a few meters from the house and Baywave leisure centre and Bayfair shopping mall are a ten minute stroll away. Here you’ll find a selection of eateries and shops. The golf courses, Blake Park and downtown mount are just a short drive away as is the Omanu surf club and George Café. The Space: Located on the first floor of this property this lovely light apartment has all you need for your time at the beach. One off street parking spot, two good size peaceful bedrooms. One bed can be a king or two singles and the second bedroom has a queen size bed. Relax in the open plan living, dining and kitchen or on the deck with additional seating and BBQ. The kitchen is fully fitted and you have the lovely sunny deck to chill out on in the warmer months. Enjoy a BBQ or sunrise breakfast to the sound of the ocean. With the beach access and Bayfair so close you can even forget about your car for a day or two. Guest Access: The two bedroom apartment is completely separate from the owners quarters downstairs. The apartment has it's own private entrance. The only shared area is the laundry which is in the garage. *Please note the person booking and staying must be over 25 years old* * NO parties - NO Events - quiet hours between 10pm and 7am - A breach of this condition will mean immediate eviction and retention of your full bond. * You'll be required to accept our booking Terms & Conditions, please let us know if you'd like to see these ahead of making your booking* The Neighborhood: Marvellous Mount Maunganui A favourite amongst travellers young and old……..a brilliant base for everyone with so much to do and so much to explore….. you’ll be left with wanting more. Located in the fabulous Bay of Plenty, Mount Maunganui is famous for its endless white sand beach, year-round surf, Pilot Bay Harbour and beautiful Mauao. At the end of the peninsula the iconic Mauao stands elegantly at 230 meters tall. Everyone has the option of taking a leisurely stroll around the flat base. The more adventurous will have fun reaching the top and be rewarded with the spectacular 360-degree views. Downtown Mount you’ll find a laid-back strip of shops, bars & restaurants that offer all day dining most with alfresco tables…….Pick up a treat or souvenir from one of the locally owned boutiques, enjoy an ice cream or coffee, browse one of the weekly markets or soak yourself in one of the salt water hot pools or treat yourself to a papering session at one of the spas. Pilot Bay offers sheltered year-round swimming and kayaking. Picnic on the grassy shore & watch the fishermen launch their boats and cargo ships come and go. Head to main beach where new surfers can grab a lesson and watch the more experienced catch a wave or two. If the wind is up the kite surfers will be out in force. Or just chill and enjoy a refreshing swim. Keen golfers have the choice of two world class courses…..Summer or Winter there’s no excuse not to get the clubs out. For groceries you’ll find an accessible New World at Central Parade along with cafe's, bike shops and a slick city eatery. 10 minutes’ drive away is the recently upgraded Bay Fair shopping centre with 150 shops and restaurants and the new United seven screen cinema (opens December 2020). Bay Wave offers a fun day indoors in the largest pool in the Bay. Complete with wave machine, kiddies play pools and giant slide. Whatever you love to do you will be guaranteed to make fond and lasting memories here in in the marvellous Mount! Other Things to Note: Please note we have cameras on the outside of the property entrance for security Interaction with Guests: Guests will be sent their self check in instructions two days before arrival. The off site manager will be available, should you need anything during your stay.

Was a really comfortable property. Appreciated the generosity around kitchen equipment and having small things like salt, pepper some spices etc these things make a difference. Comfortable beds etc. Great location right by the beach. Would happily stay again. Good experience with the property manager.

Fantastic place to stay! It's nice and close to a beautiful beach and it is very nicely furnished. The driveway was a quite tight to get in and out of but that had a little to do with us driving a people mover. The internal stairs are right beside the children?s bedroom and with a small child it was a bit of a concern at night. However we managed this by moving the small lounge chair across the entrance of the stairs during the night. Overall, this is a great place to stay and the Host is lovely

This is an absolutely fabulous holiday accommodation , with every comfort you could wish for....Us girls were just blown away by how there was nothing we could have wanted more....Our gracious host welcomed us with a friendly smile and us girls luxuriated for the next couple of days...Even (MySky)...A bath to soak in and a shower...The Beds were the ultimate in comfort...Linen 1st class...This is the BEST of the BEST...We will be back...Never stayed anywhere as perfect...10 Stars.

Property has nice outside space to relax with shade and sun .side access from property and you are on the sand .Air Con / heat pump for good temp control. Bedroom windows could benefit from curtains rather than Venetian style blind, As they let a lot of light in . Overall a great place to stay , would definitely return .

Well equiped kitchen and Kay provided us with a large platter of fruit chocolates crackers and cheese! Comfy beds although i found the pillow to soft and low for a dodgy neck. Overall a great place to stay

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the sandpit. A wonderful home away from home, with all the luxuries. The beach access is brilliant, especially for those with small children, straight from beach to bath! Very much looking forward to our next visit!!

The photo's don't show how spacious this home is. I loved the open planning which meant it was easy to keep an eye on our little one. Location is perfect close to the Mount which was our main activity for the trip and the beach is just through the gate. We miss the sounds of the waves! Will definitely book again.

Lovely homely bach a few steps from the beach. We loved the location and the lived-in feel of the house. It wasn't too precious and we felt very comfortable there - spreading out as if it were our own home. On arrival we were greeted with wine and treats and all the staples needed to start out the holiday. It was perfect!
