Fall in the Air! Beautiful time of the year! Great accommodations, restaurants, site seeing, parks, and an easy senior hike at Linville Gourge.

We loved the location. It was an easy walk to the slope and the wrap around windows offered great views of the slope. The home was cozy and nicely decorated with original artwork. The kitchen was well stocked and the home was clean and neat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Slopesider 32.

Our family absolutely loved this house! We stayed here for Thanksgiving and enjoyed skiing for three days with absolutely no crowds at all. The house was perfect for our family of six, with four bedrooms and two full baths - we could have easily fit 2+ more. The house was clean and nicely decorated and stocked with everything we needed, and we only had to walk about 50 steps to get to the slope. We will definitely rent this place again.

The property is what you would expect for a ski area. The rooms are laid out well and provide privacy. The kitchen/living space are combined. We had 6 in our group and it worked for us.

Great location
The house is situated in a quiet and peaceful place. The views in the area are just great!
Overall, the house is a nice place to stay in, except for the smell of cigarette smoke when we came in. It got better once we opened the windows to air the place.

Slopesider 32 was great
This house was a perfect fit for my family. The layout was great. It had all the kitchen items we needed. Being across the street from the slopes made the walk not bad. We tried to book it for the next year and it was already booked, So someone else must have liked it too.

Enjoyed our stay at Slopesider 32
This was actually my 2nd time at this unit - definitely a fan for the price!
Very roomy, and I could tell they had upgraded the beds since last time I was there a couple of years ago with memory foam mattresses - a nice surprise!
I was also impressed with the assortment of disposables they leave for guests as well - along with the usual soap and shampoo, there was (if I remember correctly) hand lotion and The biggest one - some detergent packets for the washing machine!!
I know that doesn't sound like a big deal, but I can't think of another condo I've stayed at that had the detergent packets! To me this was awesome b/c after you'v been sweating, skiing all day, it's nice to be able to wash your ski pants, etc before the next day. Like I said, great touch.
Just a couple of negatives, mostly small, that leads to my "less than 5 star rating".
- Upstairs toilet really needs to be looked at...does not flush well at all, to the point that everyone just used the downstairs one. Thinking about it now, it may have even been that way last time we stayed 2 years ago, but don't hold me to that. ;-)
- When the heaters were running, my allergies started flaring up pretty bad. I suspect they probably just need a deep cleaning, or at least blown out with high-pressure air to get the dust out (just a suggestion).
This is understandable, as I'm sure these heater units are older.
- Lastly, and not a big deal but just wanted to mention - it would be nice to have a couple decent sized trashbags to use. We only found a couple smaller ones.
All in all we had a great time and would like to stay here again in the future.
I also want to tip my hat to vacasa! The website made booking very easy, and there weren't a bunch of nonsense fees added like when you use airbnb or vrbo (god, I hate those websites now - it's a shame as they used to be great).
If vacasa stays like it is, I will definitely be looking to book through this platform again!

Everything it was great... The only recommendation is that I did not know where to take the trash there was no dumpster near in there.. so I left it inside in the trashcans... Sorry for doing that.. I wanted to take it to dumpster but couldn't find none... But everything else was great..

August in The Mountains
The location was great. It's in a quiet area, but close to Banner Elk, Boone & Blowing Rock, so there is lots to see and do. We were there the whole month of August. The weather was spectacular, usually not over 80 during the day and upper 50's at night. Being from Florida, it was a nice change. On the weekends, it was fun to sit on the front deck and watch the bicyclists ride the lift chairs up the mountain and then come down on their bikes. Overall, a very positive experience.
