We have a rich art community and classic surf shops mixed with great local taco shops and modern spaces to enjoy food and drink. There are plenty of great local hot spots including: the Pannikin, which transformed the old Santa Fe Railroad station, built in 1888, into a local coffee hot spot with plenty of character and great treats. If you want something within walking distance, the Bar Leucadian is a great venue for live music or a round of pool and is considered a local establishment since 1946. Down Highway 101 you will find Old Encinitas a couple miles away with a plethora of nice bars, restaurants and things to do including the Seaside Bazaar that is held every weekend morning.
