Ruben was the man. Made us tea even though we showed up late and the room was as nice as they come in mollepata. 10/10 would stay anytime I’m in the area. Best hospitality in Peru and that is not a lie!

Great view on the mountains, friendly staff welcomed us with fresh juice. They also helped us get a collectivo to Challacancha.

One of the most comfortable beds in all my travels in Peru and a strong, hot shower to boot! Eva and her husband are sweet, kind and helpful, even clearing space in their small garage for my car. Highly recommend.

The host was extremely welcoming and helped us to arrange not only our transport to Soraypampa (a friend of his took us in a shared truck), but he also instructed the construction workers to start their work later in the day (unasked and not necessary in the end, as we left at 4h30 in the morning). I can recommend Casona Mollepata to anyone which is seeking a refuge of silence, peace and a very welcoming and warm host :)

The owners are ready to help for whatever may be needed.

It is expensive compared to structures offering similar conditions.

Good location so not to have to get up so early for Salkantay Trek, though getting a bus wasn't that easy as they were all full from Cusco.

When turning up it looked like it was closed and were sent away before being asked to come back. It was a building site and work continued till 10pm despite all guests going to bed early ready for an early start on the morning. Payment was confusing and changed multiple times the night of arrival and then we were made to pay extra in the morning for a booking.com fee (never paid it elsewhere and then they claimed I didn't stay on booking.com) to be let out. The beds weren't clean and there were hairs on the pillow. Inconsistency in facilities for each room. Patchy WIFI. Food prices were crazy expensive (even for Western standards) especially when you can get food in the area for standard Peruivan prices. Wouldn't stay again
