Staff friendly, lovely hotel and we really enjoyed both the pool and the platform. Views outstanding.

Location was excellent
Sun beds were very uncomfortable and the bathroom fixtures were well past their sell by date
Also it was necessary to phone housekeeping daily as items were not supplied

From the views of the Bay of Naples, to the quality of the food and drinks (one of the best White Russians I have ever tasted), to the private bathing area and friendly and attentive staff, this truly is a remarkable hotel. All the attractions of Sorrento are within a short walking distance but the hotel is far enough away that you can relax and recharge in peace and quiet.
Nothing at all. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Spend an evening watching the the sun set from the bar or restaurant and I have no doubt you will feel the same.

The hotel was beautiful with a gorgeous pontoon by the sea. The man at the bar down by the water was a credit to the hotel.
Our room wasn’t cleaned in the first 2 days and the staff in the reception and restaurant were haughty. I felt we were treated differently because we had a cheaper room

There was a mix-up on the reservation (we had booked a 3 bed room and they had put it back to a 2 person room. They were very accmodating and upgraded us to take care of the mix-up. Staff was very friendly and was very professional.
It could have been closer to the main town but the walk was very pleasant and it was not far (only about 1 km).

The staff was exceptional. They booked all our excursions which picked us up at the hotel lobby. They were so polite and helpful.
Everything was super clean. The beach and pool area offered beverages for purchase and complimentary beach towels.

Staff were fabulous...so friendly and helpful...couldn't do enough for us.
Hotel is in a fabulous setting and a short walk from the centre.
Room was lovely but quite small.

The weather was raining that day, but we took the lift down to the beach and were able to get some pictures. Loved the view from our room. Loved the patio! That was awesome! We had dinner at the Blue restaurant on the 2nd level, and that was amazing! Great service! Breakfast was amazing the next morning!
We had 2 twin beds pushed together with separate bedding. This was our 25th Anniversary trip, so we didn't like that we had to sleep separately. It was just 2 twin beds pushed together. I requested a double bed, and they even sent me a message that my request was met. But they took the 2 twin beds and pushed them together. That was the only downfall though.

Breakfast staff were grumpy and very slow with the coffee

Lovely position looking out to sea with a balcony - breakfast was varied with lovely omlettes made to order - cocktails were great especially whilst relaxing on sofas looking out to sea
Room was incredibly noisy with people dragging chairs on balconies and slamming doors - plus a mini gym was set up on the roof space next to our room which created a lot of noise as there was a great deal of drilling- the waiting staff and most reception staff were lovely but the elderly man on reception was incredibly rude - as was the elderly waiter in the different coloured jacket- we stayed 5 nights and he never spoke to us once except on our final breakfast when he curtly asked for our room number - however he greeted the American guests in particular with huge enthusiasm- this is our 4th holiday this year and for 2 we stayed 5* and the staff were brilliant in these hotels to ALL guests - I know this was only 4* but I do expect waiters in particular to at least be civil !

The view from restaurant and bar and pool are spectacular. The breakfast was delicious and beyond my expectations. The water access and beach dock was amazing too! They even provided a takeaway breakfast for us on our last day since we had to get an early taxi to the airport.

The staff was all very kind and helpful and just happy to help. Breakfast was great. view was spectacular! So was the beach area but we didn’t have enough time to enjoy and use it.
The breakfast was a little on the light side… not much fruits, should be plenty of that

location fantastic and couldn’t fault any of the facilities
can’t name one thing I didn’t like

Lovely breakfast, friendly staff, relaxing in the bar on an evening overlooking the bay, relaxing on boardwalk
A lot of ants in the room and possibly the worst balcony view in the hotel. Gin and tonic was 15 euros which we found very expensive considering we did not ask for premium gin.

The location of this wonderful hotel affords guests stunning sunsets, a great view of the gulf of Naples and Vesuvius whilst being a few minutes walk from from the main square. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well equipped and the facilities, including restaurants, a private beach deck and pool are all well managed. The breakfast was too good for my will power during the visit with many irresistible choices. The best indication I can give is to say that by the fourth day we had already booked our stay for 2023. Thank you Grand Hotel Riviera. We had a great time and can't wait to return.
It was perfect

Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous location! Our room was clean and well designed, very comfortable bed and a nice shower. Our tv had access to Netflix which we enjoyed watching as we could watch in English, unlike the ordinary Italian television of most hotels. The breakfast was delicious and had a good variety of food. Staff very friendly and helpful with any queries. On our day of departure, we had to check out early before breakfast time. The hotel were kind enough to prepare us a bag of breakfast food to take with us, full of croissants, rolls, jam/Nutella, fruit, juice and water!
The pool was great and had a gorgeous view overlooking the cliff, with views out to the bay of Naples and Mt Vesuvius. Two yummy restaurants on site, but only a 10 minute walk to central Sorrento town where there are other restaurants and bars.
We made use of the valet parking at the hotel which cost us €10 per day.
The private beach / jetty looks fantastic but as someone who does not use lifts, I did not get down to it. There are stairs but these take you directly through the rock of the cliff and we’re quite dimly lit.

Outstanding and beautiful hotel. Decor extremely classy and art deco style. Views from the hotel bar and restaurant are stunning. The private jetty and lagoon is the stuff of movies. The staff could not do enough for us. One of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. Easy 10 minute walk into Sorrento centre.

The hotel and staff were exceptional. The food was divine, we had a beautiful meal while watching the sunset over Capri! Our room however was small and located underneath a communal area where people gathered to chat so it was not very quiet. The shower head could do with replacing. There were no towels in our room upon arrival and the ones we did eventually get were not replaced the following day. But overall it was an enjoyable stay. The breakfast buffet was 10/10!
Dated bathroom and room size.

A perfect, old fashioned (in a good way) hotel. Beautiful views, gorgeous food and service, and one of the nicest rooms I've stayed in with it's own balcony and even more incredible views. The pool and sea-pool area were amazing as well, and not too busy.
Nothing.
