The beds were very comfortable and the location has been great.

The cleanliness. There is too many to list. There was dirty mugs with hairs in it, had to wash everything before using. The bin was very dirty full of old bits of rubbish stuck to it, the oven tray was greasy. Dust literally everywhere in the property, the fridge inside had crumbs of food and stuff stuck to the shelves. The wall in the bathroom has toothpaste smeared all over, guess this would be after the previous guests. Dining table wasn’t clean and when wiped over the antibacterial wipe was literally black. Cupboards weren’t clean. There was no toilet brush provided in either toilet. There was only one tea spoon and no forks at all! Sink hasn’t been cleaned either. We’ve arrived with two small kids and the cleanliness has been an issue as you would expect everyone expects a clean environment when kids are around. The booking states they have professional cleaners who clean up to a standard which was not the case and it’s a huge shame as the property itself is located in a nice quiet street and close to the city centre & is nice and modern. As a host of holiday let’s myself there is room for improvements, especially and mainly on the cleanliness of the property. It would also have been good to have a toaster there & a hairdryer, no communication from the host either (messaged a day before our arrival to ask if towels are provided and there was no answer, same with the hairdryer) microwave wasn’t clean. It would have been good if there was at least coffee tea and sugar for guests to keep them until the morning as we have arrived quite late and we had nothing until the morning. One last thing, the corridor constantly smelled of weed, and had plenty of dirt and debris also.

Clean and a decent size

The property looked clean at first glance, bed linen smelled nice. It was spacious and also felt safe. The location was ideal for the purpose we stayed.

To begin with the host was not very welcoming. They never answered calls and just sent a document filled with "instructions". The whole "zero tolerance" language of the document falsely set the standards really high for the property. Their expectations from the guests were way off what they were delivering. "If the housekeeping team arrive at 10am & you have not left, your card will be charged a fee of £50" - sounded more like a scam to charge you. A gentle reminder of the check out time would have worked perfectly well. The main bathroom reeked of cigarette smell which made it really hard to be used while the flush in the other ensuite shower was temperamental with cistern not filling at times. There were no sanitary bins in either bathrooms and the host didn't bother responding to the issue of smell. The kitchen was really basic with limited things - no kitchen towel, bottle and can opener, only one tiny glass casserole without lid for oven/microwave cooking, no large bowl. Hence the whole reason for booking an apartment so we could cook was rendered void. Plates and bowls in the cupboard were dirty, and pots and pans greasy. The thick kettle limescale needs addressing and a mop would be helpful too. One of the bedroom doors was very creaky which was not ideal with kids. The wifi kept going off and hardly worked at night. There was no lift access and the communal area was dirty. Overall it was very basic and not worth the price we paid for it. A very disappointing stay.

hey goodnight ! unfortunately there is not enough heating for the house … the rooms are very cold! I messaged them.. but they didn't make the effort to help us. There were no products to wash dishes! unfortunately it was not pleasant!!

Great facilities and location

Good location, convenient, modern & well decorated inside. Very fresh. Host Jade was really helpful and made it a pleasant stay. Would recommend if staying in Southampton especially if multiple people staying for work.
