Nothing better then a short get away to enjoy nature, Fall colors, beautiful scenery and fantastic Pure Michigan. Freighters View was just what we were looking for. Perfection!

THe place was clean and had all of ammenities shown on the site page. It was perfect. The drive to the Ship wreck Museuma and Lighthouse were just road. The morning sunrise ove Lake Superior was beautiful. And we happened to be there when there was a Blue Moon rising on the lake. Beath taking.

We rented 3 cabins. All of us enjoyed the location, accommodations and view!

Easy to use.

Property was exactly as advertised. Clean, right on the lake, easy acess, close to town. It's small but cozy. Bring snacks or reheatable meals but don't expect to cook anything elaborate; as listed there is a kitchenette rather than a kitchen.

Very quaint but has everything you need. Spectacular view. Hosts even leave firewood for you. You have your own barbeque, but definitely would recommend the local restaurants.

The property was nicer than we thought it would be. The pictures are old on the website. It was clean and beautiful. It was big enough for us to move furniture a touch and put our airmattress in the middle so no one had to share a bed. My son did not realize the shower had an emergency button shut off. Once I showed him it just needs to be moved, you get washed like a carwash. For those who can't find it...it is a button on the metal shower head. Jeff, the caretaker was attentive and great to deal with. The only negative was how close to a very speedy road it is. People drive too fast.

Cabin was great & clean. Just the type of place we were looking for. Beautiful location right on the water. Jeff was quick to get us a new lighter for the fire pit & even brought us more wood even though he had stacked plenty. Would definitely stay again!

The place was clean, welcome note by door and inside on table with the owners #. Had 2 burner hot plate, toaster, microwave, coffeemaker and mini fridge. The sink is a large stainless steel sink with a great faucet/sprayer and a dish pan sits perfectly to one side of it. Dish soap and scrubby provided. Coffee pouches which we made 8 cups out of was nice to see. Box fan provided, also wood for a fire and butane lighters. I watched Lake Superior between my toes through the window while having my coffee in bed! We both enjoyed our stay. Shower and towels were great, toilet paper and paper towel provided, nice touch!

We have stayed at this property previously and some improvements have been made. We stayed in the cabin while bird watching and doing nature photography. The owner/maintenance man was very helpful and responded very quickly to any needs we had. This is a rustic cabin and has a mid-size refrigerator and hot plate instead of a stove. The beds were clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

Great stay. We had a wonderful time. Google maps took us to a home attached to the property, it was midnight so it was a bit confusing, but we figured it out. Property manager followed up the next dat to be sure we were satisfied. Everything was great. We would stay again !!

It was exactly as described.

This is a tough review to write. The property itself was fine. Clean, comfortable and great location. My only complaint is the lack of response from the owner. I could not get through on the listed phone number and texts went unanswered. If there was an emergency with the property I would not have known what to do! So, don't let my post deter you from renting but know these are issues we had.

There are not a lot of options right in this area. The place was nice but small — essentially a bedroom. The sunrise on the lake was wonderful. However, the highway traffic was noisy and very close to the property. It was okay for a short stay.

Rustic and secluded with breathtaking views here, there, and every where! Loved it

Property was as described. Literally a few feet from the lake. Easy check in, nice appliances and great location to visit the nearby parks and museums. Stayed in cabin 3 and it was a little obvious that it was the end of the busy season. The carpet needs to be replaced or deep cleaned as does the bathroom floor. Bedsheets are almost threadbare, but I’m sure they are on the docket to be replaced. Those things being said, we would consider staying again because the location is so good. Just be reminded that this is a much older roadside cabin and go in as we did not expecting anything fancy and you will be fine!

The cabin was decorated in a cute retro decor. I was impressed by how well furnished it was. Every thing you would need is available. We would love to visit again.

The property needs some work on the landscaping when we pulled up we were wondering how the inside would be, but the room itself was cute and fairly neat. The bed comfortable and furnishings were fine. The carpet needed some cleaning from spills. It is right next to the road so you have to be careful if you have kids or pets. The location is great for the falls and Whitefish point.

it was nice. walls are thin. no sink, only in the bathroom. cobwebs and looked like mold over the shower panels. nice get away though

The view of the lake was amazing. The cabin was cozy and cute. Firewood was available along with a nice fire pit. Easy driving distance to the Falls and Whitefish Point. Check in was easy, and we never had to contact the host. The shower was an unusual set up, but amazingly great! The only complaint is the lack of a kitchen sink.

The process of renting was great, however it was pretty hard to find and I would've liked a little more warning on parking. I talked to a few others and they agreed. Overall, though, I had a great time and enjoyed the views and the area. I went into this not knowing much about the UP and came out wanting to come back. Don't know that I would come back to this site, though.

Nice location. Outside could use some trimming of the trees. We were in unit 3 which did not have a sink. Difficult to do dishes in bathroom sink. Overall it was clean and we met a lot of nice people staying in other cottages. Had fires outside every night. Would stay again.

Rustic but very Clean. 20 steps to Lake Superior. Very Friendly neighbors. Only sink is in bathroom. Very close to the Upper and Lower Tahquamenon Falls

Nice small cabin right on the water. Only a few miles from the falls national parks

The view was beautiful! Location was ideal because it was just north of where my grandparents owned property!
