We loved the cabin! It was plenty roomy and nicely decorated. Easily accessible from highway 83. Plenty of bathrooms and beds. Large dining room table and comfortable couches in the living room. Nice sized kitchen, washing machine and dryer were a great bonus. Great experience.

Many positives about this place- woodsy location, nicely constructed log cabin, large upstairs common space, pool table, and communicative owner. However, we found several drawbacks- main floor bathroom had a non-functioning shower (no handle) and only very hot water from the sink tap; mouse droppings everywhere; not very clean generally; a bad smell in the basement; and were told to bring our own drinking and cooking water. If these and some other items were addressed, it would be a more acceptable place to stay.

The cabin was exactly as described in word and photos. It was very spacious for the nine of us and the furniture was comfortable in all rooms. I loved waking up to the large windows in the living room and seeing deer each morning and being in the woods. It was quiet and serene. We drove to Holland Lake both days we were there and enjoyed the hike to the falls and the beautiful vista at the top of the lake and the Mission Mountains. The day use area was fun for all of us and the scenery beautiful! John was a great host in answering questions. I want to come back as soon as I can!

We stayed here for a family trip. John was very responsive to issues that we had while staying here. We did have problems with the main floor tub which was an issue for my mother since she could not use stairs well, but John was great. He tried everything to help the situation. Deer were often around while we were outside. The house is older but very welcoming and warm. Most cooking items and utensils were available. We would definitely stay here again!
