About this resort

Nestled in Virginia Beach, this lovely resort for $282 per night is a great option for your next trip. These are nice 1 bedroom 1 bath timeshare units with full kitchens and everything you need. The resort is right across the street from the Oceanfront in VA Beach. The resort is ranked 22 out of 115 in VAB and has been totally redone. This unit sleeps up to 4 people and is conveniently located at 4th and Atlantic next to Rudy Inlet at the south end of the boardwalk. Great place to ride bikes or rollerblade. Unit has a full kitchen stocked with pots pans and dishes so no need to eat out. flat screens in every room, really comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, all redone a few years ago. Also directly across from Waterman's Seafood restaurant and the 4th street pavilion on the boardwalk where they have good live music. A few blocks from giant jungle gym structure at the south end of the boardwalk. My weeks run Friday to Friday in June over summer (or Saturday to Saturday in July and August) so I require that all reservations either start or end on Friday or Saturday between Memorial Day and Labor Day. An easy walk to the heart of VAB - the boardwalk, restaurants, bars, night life, roller coasters and rides, mini golf, arcades, and the ocean front and beaches. Great place for kids and adults. The city of VA Beach pays bands and street acts to perform on every other street corner every night between 17th and 30th Street. Free concerts at the several pavilions up and down the boardwalk. Great place to ride bikes or rollerblade. Parking included. Indoor pool and hot tub. Arcade games, gym, activities, grocery delivery from Harris Teeter. 45 minutes from Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg. We love this hotel because it is the perfect location - you are across the street from the ocean near the huge jungle gym at the end of the board walk. A stones throw from where the boat tours and deep sea fishing boats go out. I'll also throw in access to the rooftop indoor pool, Sauna, hot tub and huge deck overlooking the strip at the Ocean Sands, Ocean Front at 23rd street. This also includes free parking at the Ocean Sands.

The room was clean. The carpet in the hallway needs to be updated. Did not get a chance to use the swimming pool. The beach and restaurants were in walking distance.

The property was as described. The suite was well-stocked with dishes, silverware and all that we needed. It was ocean front with a nice view and very close to the beach. The place was clean and we enjoyed 2 nights there. Would definitely stay again!

The location was perfect, a short walk from the beach and plenty of restaurants. The room was large enough that my partner and I were very comfortable. The kitchen space was great. Check in was quick and easy! The space itself could use some minor adjustments to make it perfect. For example, the trash from the previous stay hadn't been taken out, there was some wear and tear in the bathroom, some stains on one of the sheets. Not deal breakers, just things we noticed. We would definitely stay here again for the value and location!

The description said there was a water park, but there was only a small pool. I also thought I was booking 2 beds but it was actually 1 bed and 1 pullout sofa.

It is a great location. You can walk to anything you need: beach, restaurants, stores, water attractions. A lot of things to do for the family. For the hotel itself can give only 3 stars. Our check in time was at 4 but our room wasn’t ready until 6. It didn’t have towels at all. We called 3 times but didn’t get until next day. I had to go and find the linen room and beg for towels. Our bedroom had a balcony with ocean view which is great. Unfortunately, the street noise was so loud I had to sleep with the pillow on my head. So, if you’re a light sleeper like me ask for the room without balcony. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The condo was clean & well appointed. We enjoyed the pool & hot tub, ocean view room, & quiet location. Loved that it was steps from the ocean but at the far end of the strip, definitely less crowded & chaotic. We were able to walk, bike, & take to the trolley everywhere we wanted to go. Would definitely stay here again!

Our son attended surf camp at 4th street so this was the perfect spot. There were a few maintenance issues during the week ( no water during the day on Wednesday ...and no working air conditioning on Thursday)...but the property management worked quickly to try and resolve the issues. Very pleased with the location, would stay again.

The room was very nice. The timeshare hotel was very busy. The room had no working TV'S (thete were 2 and neither one worked on the single remote in the room) also no working phone (on the info given at check-in, "just call us to swsp out linens or if there is any problem". There were dirty towels hidden on the balcony and on a lower shelf in the bathroom. I contacted the owner. I also found a wonderful maintenance man when i was heading down to the front desk with the TV & phone problem. He fixed the TV but said the phone hasn't worked in a while. I would still recommend a stay here. You cant beat the location. We had a great time there.

Our unit was modernized. Stainless steal appliance’s and a nice bathroom. When we got there they had no information on our reservation. The girl at the desk said it happened all the time. She easily added our reservation but it took about a half an hour and was a little embarrassing. Overall, the place was clean and the staff were great! I cannot say enough about how friendly the staff was. This place is not a 5 star high end but it was perfect for a short getaway. Clean and reasonably priced. The beach is literally right across the street. I never used our vehicle the whole 4 days. Everything is within walking distance, restaurants and shops.

This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed at Ocean Key Resort in the past 13 months. We have enjoyed our stay immensely each time. The facility is exceptionally clean, the staff is top-notch and so accommodating and the location is great. The host has been overly accommodating and receptive and I would look for his properties first anywhere I decide to stay in the future.

Time spent in Virginia was great. We were disappointed however to find 1 fork, 1 regular spoon, 4 large spoons and some butter knives. 3 small plates, 2 coffee mugs, 2 soup bowls… Don’t know how it could be said there was what would be needed by way of dishes, etc. Also, our email and what we chose as descripytwas a place with patio/deck facing water. We had no patio or deck. One window to look out to left, only windows don’t open so can’t smell or hear ocean or feel breeze. I couldn’t use pool or hot tub as chlorine smell was way too strong and caused eyes to stung/burn. Location is excellent and very clean. Girl checking us in seemed to be in a hurry to do something else.

The property was very nice. All of the employees were very nice and helpful. The only issue was the noise from the street was a little loud. especially around 4 am, you can hear trucks beeping because they were backing up. I think either making deliveries or picking up trash.

We recently stayed at your property because my daughter had a cheer competition at the convention center. The location of the property was excellent! Close walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops and an extremely easy and quick drive to the convention center! We will definitely stay here again.

Nice place to stay with the family, including a kiddo. Just make sure if you are ruining the Shamrock half you map out your route in the morning bc roads will be closed all around it, I knew this in advance.

The location was great. The bathroom was over sold. I did not want to use the whirlpool. The pool area was okay, looked like it wasn't cleaned. I understand it is November so not many guest use it. The dishwasher was broken with dirty dishes and the TV remote stopped working on our last night. Aside for those minor issues, the location is great and I loved the Ocean Front Room.

Just spent three nights here. Great location. You can walk to beach and lots of restaurants. We like being able to cook breakfast and lunch in the condo and then go out for dinner. Kitchen has everything you need and the fridge is full size. We like having a unit with a balcony.

A little disappointing that there was no balcony view from our room but we did find two terraces for sitting outside. The floor of our room was sandy but understandably so. The handle on our toilet kept coming loose but we were able to make it work. The pullout sleeper sofa was nice and soft while the bed was very firm. We enjoyed the temperature of the indoor pool and jacuzzi and loved that there was a restaurant on the property with good food. Found a great little place for breakfast and other cool shops within walking distance. Mostly we loved the proximity to the ocean.
